Following that, you showed how are you overwintered a nuc over a double deep using a double screen board to separate the The nuc from the two double deeps. Why did you use a queen excluder in one instance and a double screen board in the other?
If I said queen excluder, I meant to say double screen board. That's the only thing I overwinter with. Although, in the early Spring, I will sometimes place a weak colony over a strong colony, seperated by a queen excluder. This will really boost the strength of the weaker colony and promote the Queen to lay much faster
