thank you for watching this and i'm sorry that you ran into difficulties with the editing, hope you're still going to give your thoughts on the rest of the guide. armys love honest reactions and we only feel upset when people straight up distrespect the members and maybe this guide made you understand a little bit of the reason behind us being so protective of them. they really are sincere artists and people that have been thru a lot of hardships since before they even debuted to this day. all of that is in their lyrics. in order to fully understand their music, people need to be willing to do extra research. even for some of their catchiest and happy sounding songs, you might find deep meaning behind it if you take the time to discover it. people misunderstand their message and think they are just a typical boyband that somehow became the biggest, but that is very far from the truth. you might not like all of their songs, but if you find at least one that speaks to you and makes you feel something then i think its worth giving it a chance. also, you seem to enjoy their more casual moments and let me tell you these guys are like a real family and respect eachother a lot. they are eachothers biggest fans and they are armys biggest fans as well. they are not just talented, but very hardworking. we, army, love them so much because their music and words hold a lot of power. they inspire us to become better people and to never give up 💜
Their award count is over 1000 now, but each time they get an award, they give credit to ARMY, and they are always thankful. I think it's because they have worked so hard on everything they do, and they started from nothing and they have accomplished so much. They constantly challenge themselves and appreciate every thing. They are humble and appreiciative, and they are still passionate about their work and their fans. I hope you understand more after you have watched the whole introduction video. By the way, Namjoon (RM) just turned 30 years old September 12, 2024. He's serving in the military right now, and will be released by June 2025. Six of the members are still serving. They will all come back together as a team June 2025. Jin, the oldest was discharged June 12, 2024.
And you are right, Bts is more than their music. To put it short, they are my happy place. When ever they do a livestream or travel shows, they make me laugh, when I watch their friendship it makes me warm and happy (and a little jealous 🤣) They have music for when Im sad, when Im angry, when Im happy, when I want to dance, when I feel nostalgic... and Army is so funny and goofy and charitable, I have found amazing friends amongst them 💜
I appreciate your honesty and sincerity on your approach to BTS. I think you'll grow to respect and appreciate them as people and artists which is really all one can ask for.
The song Blue and Grey is from the album BE. After the worldwide success of the single Dynamite (definitely pop) the album was expected to follow the same vein.... it didn't. It was a really introspective view of each members thoughts and feelings from the pandemic. So many good songs on it.
Hi. Great to see a UK reactor. You make some perceptive points. They are like 'the Avengers' of the music world; their individual talent is tremendous both in solo projects and as BTS, and they all take their roles in the group very seriously. I also loved that you want to see more Run BTS from watching the clips in the Guide. They are very funny and not afraid to be completely authentic. They are all wonderful human beings- that is why they have the following they do.
BTS has always remained humble about being so popular. Maybe it’s the culture. They did, however, exhaust themselves with major burnout, but they continued on for ARMY. They truly believe that so much love needs to be repaid.
If you watch them for any amount of time, its impossible to not fall in love with them. Theyre so charming and endearing and genuine. Yes, they have many accolades, but they deserve every bit of them. They're all so special in their own way. Such sweet and affectionate boys. No toxic masculinity to speak of. Its really beautiful.
Sorry about your technical issues...don't worry we have watched this many times and we just enjoy watching someone else learn and appreciate what the guys have been through and how they worked hard to get where they are today. Looking forward to your part 2....don't care whether you like all of their music or not as long as you respect them as human beings and creative individuals.
When BTS was formed Big Hit only had 1 girl group and a member was convicted of a crime. BTS was training and Big Hit was going to be declared bankrupt they told everybody to go home. The rap line refused. They said they could not afford to. Bang PD got a last minute investment. Alot of the marketing innovations that have been copied by kpop were the result of not being able to afford traditional methods. For instance it was cheaper to hire a holiday home for a few days and send a tiny camera crew yo chase around after them than a promotion budget. Because BTS were so chaotic it was impossible to closely script them. So they ended up giving them an outline and leaving them to it. Ending up often with comedy gold and fans seeing genuine people. So for instance they tried being typical kpop and said to Jin you are the handsome one you should be cool and mysterious. The first time Jin got on a camera he told fans what they had told him to do. Then said I won't be doing that. Instead we got dad joke telling super goofy caring loveable Jin. Who once grabbed Vs hair and held him in the convertible because he was getting so excited by the fans cheers and hanging out the side.
No worries, stuff likes this happens and I was really enjoying watching you react to this even though I've seen seen it hundreds of times. I do hope you if you have the time you can react to another more updated documentery, its called 'a long and helpful guide to bts' by purple snow. And don't worry about if its long, we will watch all of it with you. ARMY love watching people discover the magic that is BTS.💜💜
I enjoyed your respectful (and mild giggles) reaction and your understanding the grind to come from a small band. It took them years before they were able to pay themselves real paychecks. You really paid attention to understand and get perspective. You don't have to like every song but can understand & respect the creative process of these 7 artists. Can't wait to see your next part and more documentaries/ BTS shows (RUN Jin, RUN BTS, Suchwita) found on their UA-cam channel.
We love to watch the journey of learning about them, but the most important thing is that you watched it and enjoy it and I’m sure it’s only the first step of discovering them properly as artists. I look forward to watch more of your honest reactions.
it was interesting what you said about picking the best to put them and make super group, but it is not fully truth bc actually personality is important too, in kpop they look at people behavior, how they connect, if they make problems, etc, sometimes they don't take best vocalist but little weaker that they know with working will get there but is for example nicer, empathetic, etc, then this super ready person that fights offten, or like to dominate, or is rude, etc. I think this is a factor like you said with american boybands that come and go bc they put together great solist and think they will be happy workin together , yes maybe at the beginning, but there will come time they will crach, and BTS yes have people that easly could be solists but from begining they were aware of importance of "team", they always had mentality "team is on first place/most important" they say "team work dream work" and bc they feld it, bc they saw benefits from having brotherhood, it worked, and they could start to make solo music bc they feld comfortable in thier position in band and had support. I think a lot of band that was put together don't get it, lose it, or simply dosen't care.
Being the leader doesnt mean he is always in the front, taking all spotlight in perfomances....(Like in western "boy groups"). That means that he have more resposibillies! To rake care of the group, and also mediate in confilcts between members or between members and the company. He also always speaks for all BTS in interviews etc.... He is our president!! He is a philosofer and poet...he have a way with words that is unprecedented..
Thank you so much for reacting and sorry for your technical issues 😭 so frustrating. Can’t wait to see your takes on the vocal line! And yes, I think there’s a lot of Run BTS you would enjoy, they are mostly chaos in the best possible way 😄
Life happens. I’m happy you got to watch it all and hope you enjoyed getting to know the others a little better. A perfect compliment to this is to watch xCeleste’s Hardships video. It will help you understand the dynamic between ARMY and BTS better.
I totally believe that BTS were fated to be together, if not by bighit than by somebody else, if not in music, then in some other fields... BTS would anyhow end up together. If not at an early age, then later in life, they would have ended up together. Thats' the destiny and I am sure, in all other universe to exist, BTS are together or destined to be together in all of them.
This has been the most enjoyable shared viewing of this documentary. I have seen it many times. We like the honesty. Looking forward to part two. You will see new things! Don't worry. Thank you for your sincerity.
Taylor really did an amazing job on this guide but in order to truly understand and appreciate the group and their uniquely strong relationship with the fandom, you need to combine it with xCeleste's video 'BTS Hardships 2013-2021' (it's narrated 😅). These guys really rose to the top despite all odds. If you want an example of *why* they rose to the top, try their song Spring Day and combine it with the explanation video by Italian ARMY: 'What You Still Don't Know About BTS Spring Day'. Trigger warning: It deals with a national tragedy involving children, but it's an excellent example of their depth and attitude. The song is fondly known as 'The Queen' because it's been on the South Korean Melon chart nonstop for seven years so far, the longest charting song in the history of the chart. On a personal note - I really appreciate the honesty regarding your technical problems. 👍 And what a blast of nostalgia it was hearing that dialect again ‐ I was an exchange student in Dunfermline back in the 90s and "dad" was from Edinburgh but "mom" was from Glasgow. 😄👍 💜
I appreciate your honesty and I have subscribed it's just a thought but I thought maybe instead of finishing the guide you could do a summary of what you remember then you could maybe do the longer more updated one called a long and helpful guide to BTS
Awe, It's OKAY. I know that must have been really frustrating for you. I look forward to your "additional commentary" on the part 2. I've been a fan of BTS for 4 years now, and still haven't gotten out everything I want to say about them, so I'm sure you will still have many original thoughts. Looking forward to it.
Can I just say, I loved your comment about the cherry picking 😂 that’s how I’ve always felt, that he picked essentially aces in their respective lanes, but the thing was like they were so young so bang sihyuk (aka bang pd or hitman bang) had the foresight to recognize that they would grow into being idols and fame or whatever. he saw that their base/core skills were so high level at such a young age that he picked them up. I will always be grateful for him recognizing that, esp considering that he cherry picked these guys who wouldn’t be picked by other, more conventional agencies bc they didn’t fit the mold at the time of what idols were
Just watched a newer reaction from you. I was so impressed with your honesty, that I found this one that I was hoping you’d react to. It’s okay about the technical difficulties. Things happen. At least you got to see the whole thing! If you didn’t comment on Jin who was joking World Wide Handsome (WWH), he really was scouted off the streets. He was approached once before and thought it to be a scam. Then this time, he went in as an acting trainee and they immediately moved him to a singing idol trainee so he too, like Jimin had to learn to sing but also dance. J-Hope had to learn to rap. All of them now do sing esp with their s’more recent solo albums, though it will always remain the rap line and vocal line. 😊Ok, instead of leaving UA-cam, now I NEED to watch your first MV reaction 😂Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫶🏼
❤❤❤ What a great reaction! Never mind the technical difficulties, Army will watch part 2 with you. Thank you for giving BTS the time and respect they deserve🫶
I'm really appreciating your reactions! And also be looking forward to the second part of this documentary The Bandtan 7. I look to see if it was up already I didn't see it so if I'm mistaken please let me know. Definitely appreciate your taking the time to get to know them better. Borahae
What a nice surprise! And dont worry, tech problems are annoying, but maybe now you can have different commentary, seeing the video a second time. Excited for pt 2 💜
I can't tell which Jin song you liked, but you seemed to either like "Awake" or "Moon". "Moon" is definitely one of my top favorite BTS songs and Jin sings it. You should check it out since you seemed to like it so much. Plus Jin just came out of the military and his first solo album is coming out soon. It's called "Happy".
I enjoyed watching your reaction and hope we get to see your reaction to the rest of the guide. These things happen, especially with electronics,, but I hope this gave you a a little more insight into why so many people love BTS. I'm an older ARMY and have enjoyed them so much. It's a two way relationship for sure with BTS and their fans! I hope you react to more of their content and songs. 💜
Take 1 to 2 years of any age stated in this. It's the old way Koreans calculated age. In Kpop its unusual for groups to participate in creating songs. They are mainly performers of others songs and raps. This is one of many reasons BTS are not really the kpop people lump them in with. Though kpop are now trying to copy as much as is possible because of BTS successes. But you cannot fake 7 goofy naturally hilarious guys who genuinely love each other having been through the wringer of multiple death threats humiliation exhaustion and living together for 8 of their 12 years, in an atmosphere of striving for excellence and learning of and encouraging each other.... when they are not arguing over dumplings.
24:47 by the way this was a rehearsal for the award show you watched (where Jimin was blindfolded)! ☺️ J-Hope’s bit at the start opened the performance
Thanks for watching. This is outdated so if you have extra time you can watch every members individual introductions. Their achievements and awards as a group is way more than thousands now. You can also see the growth with their solo activities. Pls keep on until theire recomeback in 2025.
The Belgian's capital question and when Jin said waffle it's hilarious because only europeans and people from UK get it 😂😂😂😂 Americans are always so confused
If you respect them then it doesn't matter if you like all of their music. To each his own. Thank you 😊 and sorry about OBS, it can be a real nightmare sometimes. Good luck 👍
Currently BTS has around 1000 awards and counting. Jin spends his life eating to help Armys with eating disorders Jin also plays the guitar and piano. Jin's fun fact: He made the song Super tuna in 2 hours. V also plays the piano.Jungkook also has a black belt in taekwondo Jung Kook was 13 years old when he became a trainee. He came to Seoul on April 24, 2011. Age in Korea is calculated considering pregnancy as the period of life. Therefore, in Global age JK was 13 years old and in Korean age he was 14. Jin took him to and from school every day. I recommend everyone to watch the documentary made by army The Rise of BangtamPlease also watch the explanatory video about the difficulties that BTS faced in the Korean and global
Oh, that's too bad! I was really looking forward to seeing your reaction to the rest of the members. Maybe you could rewatch the remaining parts and share your thoughts? Or there's another documentary that dives even deeper into their journey! We fans definitely don’t mind watching for long hours-BTS fandom has been studied by so many people, from professors to musicians and artists, trying to understand what makes them so unique. It goes beyond just their music; it's also about their personalities and the way they connect with fans. It's something special, unlike the usual norm for celebrities. And that's how they became the blueprint for others to follow but
It's wonderful to see that you finally discovered the truth and the love and bts, and you pinpointed, exactly why so many people love them.... It's because they are honest, truly caring. God sent human beings that you don't find very often. Especially in any kind of entertainment world never seen anything like this before in my long life .. I'm seventy three and I am hooked bts because of their individual hearts and souls and I see that as some type of spiritual beauty I am and I can identify with each one of them because I speak from the heart... And their music is fun and also very deep, it gives you something to think about. And it's just hard to explain, but you get addicted to them once you get involved with them, it's just nice... And it's refreshing to find real people in the entertainment business. Because I don't like any of the music in America nowadays. Or I don't even like anything in the movies in America nowadays but I watch many, many K-dramas because the actors are just better. And adjust, like the asian culture at this time.. But I was watching you tonight and it's october sixteen and was very entertained at first I didn't like listening to you.But when I saw that you we're understanding, it was really cool to watch you warm up and see love, enter your life...
24:45 It's funny that you call them the avengers because we, the fans, low key called them that too hahahaha. but then another company kinda stole that moniker and used it officially for their kpop group instead lol
teccy issues happen had on on sunday where I couldn't hear a thing in my in ear monitors thankfully it was only a band practice. The sound desk engineer had accidently hit the mute button. So I couldn't hear my voice, my guitar or the rest of the band.
BTS is no boy band. Being put together isn’t manufactured. Manufactured is where the group has no control or creative control in their music. This is not BTS.
When I’m saying manufactured, I purely mean as opposed to them having met naturally and started a band together. I agree that with the level of creative control they’ve been allowed, they’re kinda somewhere in the middle though, which is an interesting thing to see.
Maybe we can say the concept of BTS was manufactured, but the members worked together to create the BTS project , using their unique skills and talents. But we also can't ignore that the company also provided a lot of opportunity for training and improvement. I actually find that hybrid approach (the company doing its part, and allowing the artists to do their part and working together), to be a more fascinating tale than either just manufactured or just organic. Because it is rare for a company to allow the freedom of new artists to create their own projects. You could say BigHit was like a start up, and BTS was one of the first projects of that start up, so BigHit grew BTS, and in return BTS grew BigHit (and created HYBE) into one of the top entertainment companies of the world. The amount of cooperation and symbiosis needed for that to happen FAR exceeds the label of "manufactured", IMO. Because you could also say that BTS manufactured HYBE (the mega company that grew from the BigHit seed, to tower above BigHit and a multitude of other labels).
@jademelon7272 yeah see that I 100% agree with and it’s actually the single reason why I’m diving deeper into this. Because they DO seem to be an abnormality in terms of manufactured boy bands, or organically created bands. And that’s kinda fascinating to look into I think.
@@markabusireactions For sure. You would LOVE the fan made documentary called Rise of Bangtan. It goes into the nitty gritty and sometimes grimy process of how BTS came to be, and in the own words of the members. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13
Jin 1992 - 20 yo
Suga 1993- 20 yo Suga started with MIDI at 11
JHope 1994 - 19 yo

thank you for watching this and i'm sorry that you ran into difficulties with the editing, hope you're still going to give your thoughts on the rest of the guide. armys love honest reactions and we only feel upset when people straight up distrespect the members and maybe this guide made you understand a little bit of the reason behind us being so protective of them. they really are sincere artists and people that have been thru a lot of hardships since before they even debuted to this day. all of that is in their lyrics. in order to fully understand their music, people need to be willing to do extra research. even for some of their catchiest and happy sounding songs, you might find deep meaning behind it if you take the time to discover it. people misunderstand their message and think they are just a typical boyband that somehow became the biggest, but that is very far from the truth.
you might not like all of their songs, but if you find at least one that speaks to you and makes you feel something then i think its worth giving it a chance.
also, you seem to enjoy their more casual moments and let me tell you these guys are like a real family and respect eachother a lot. they are eachothers biggest fans and they are armys biggest fans as well. they are not just talented, but very hardworking. we, army, love them so much because their music and words hold a lot of power. they inspire us to become better people and to never give up 💜
we understand, technical issues happen. Looking forward to part 2. thank you .
BORAHAE.
Hi dear. 69yo ARMY here. Everyone knows the capitol of Belgium is chocolate.
Can't wait for part two. Great reaction!💜
And you are right, Bts is more than their music. To put it short, they are my happy place. When ever they do a livestream or travel shows, they make me laugh, when I watch their friendship it makes me warm and happy (and a little jealous 🤣) They have music for when Im sad, when Im angry, when Im happy, when I want to dance, when I feel nostalgic... and Army is so funny and goofy and charitable, I have found amazing friends amongst them 💜
Their awards are in the musuem at HYBE Labels in South Korea anyone can go see them.
No worries. Thank you for your reaction. We will be waiting for the next part.
Yes, BTS are Hilarious!! Just another reason I love them.
I agree with all of that!
Bang Si-hyuk is the Nick Fury to BTS' Avengers parallel? That comparison will live in my head forever. Thank you! :)
Also that makes RM Steve Rogers and I'm living for that too.
Love a wee bit of Cap lol
Currently, around 1400 awards
Thank you so much for reacting and sorry for your technical issues 😭 so frustrating. Can’t wait to see your takes on the vocal line! And yes, I think there’s a lot of Run BTS you would enjoy, they are mostly chaos in the best possible way 😄
I really like your voice. It's very soothing. Looking forward to part 2.
Why thank you lol
Life happens. I’m happy you got to watch it all and hope you enjoyed getting to know the others a little better. A perfect compliment to this is to watch xCeleste’s Hardships video. It will help you understand the dynamic between ARMY and BTS better.
I totally believe that BTS were fated to be together, if not by bighit than by somebody else, if not in music, then in some other fields... BTS would anyhow end up together. If not at an early age, then later in life, they would have ended up together. Thats' the destiny and I am sure, in all other universe to exist, BTS are together or destined to be together in all of them.
Its honestly beautiful seeing your opinion change about bts.
💜
I appreciate your honesty and I have subscribed it's just a thought but I thought maybe instead of finishing the guide you could do a summary of what you remember then you could maybe do the longer more updated one called a long and helpful guide to BTS
That’s not a terrible idea actually, cause I did manage to retain a fair amount of info lol
great idea.
Borahae

@@skgm7420 thanks for letting me know I appreciate it! 💜💜
What a nice surprise! And dont worry, tech problems are annoying, but maybe now you can have different commentary, seeing the video a second time. Excited for pt 2 💜
thank you for giving our boys a chance. All we expect is honesty. Borahae!
Honestly it’s one of those ones, it took me a second to click 😂 it’s such a good joke though!
V also plays the piano.Jungkook also has a black belt in taekwondo
Jung Kook was 13 years old when he became a trainee.
Jin has revealed in recent years that he also has a black belt in Taekwondo. Suga is a red belt, I believe.
it's a delight to see you enjoy your time! :)
I was waiting for this video for a long time. Finally it's here
It was nice while it lasted 😅 thank you for watching it
Love your accent..remind me of Jamie from Outlander series..thank you for react to Bts.. They're very amazing group
Love BTS 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🔥
I really enjoy your reaction. Hope you can upload the part 2, will be waiting for future reactions. 💜
Especially in any kind of entertainment world never seen anything like this before in my long life
But I was watching you tonight and it's october sixteen and was very entertained at first I didn't like listening to you.But when I saw that you we're understanding, it was really cool to watch you warm up and see love, enter your life...
now they have over 1400 awards
24:45 It's funny that you call them the avengers because we, the fans, low key called them that too hahahaha. but then another company kinda stole that moniker and used it officially for their kpop group instead lol
These things happen. I thought your response in what was recorded was fair and interesting.
Caminho sem volta 😅

@erume5776 thank you!!
Please refer to all comments below about BTS so you can have a full grasp of who BTS is all about.
Can you put part one in the title?
Done!
ROB is where you'll see old footage and many of their early UA-cam/ social media vlogs. They discuss their inner feelings and even frustrations around the process of "creating" BTS.
