I subscribed. The presentation was superb, the video, the narration everything. And concise.

Scott! That area is so sketch now! I’m glad you didn’t get attacked by a crackhead. I’m sure Siegel has plans to make it into a big bagel halfway house.

They should be able to rent rooms for less than the corporate crooks on the strip charge for parking & resort fee. If restored nicely, and the neighborhood cleaned up and made safe overall, I'd think these joints would have a good shot at success.

Sad that a city so busy as Las Vegas still has clusters of decay like this so close to the heart of it all... Especially when the need for affordable housing in the city is probably at an all time high!

Would have been interesting to se that place in its prime. WWII vets wirh youg family in tow, pulling up in a fresh off the assembly line Packard.

I've observed these hotels a few times while visiting Vegas. That area is VERY seedy. Furgeson's is a bright spot but there's really nothing in there that would compel one to spend that much time there. It's just a run down, dangerous and depressing area. Homeless, drunks, drifters wander the streets. You feel unsafe. If you revitalize that area, it's going to turn into another Santa Monica, with "normal" people with money visiting and derelicts and the aggressive mentally ill hassling everyone.
    Vegas has changed a LOT.

Used to be so perfect, great times in theory.
In reality, nobody ever did anything but complain.
Making it more perfect, since 1787.
