    • @Volkaroar
      @Volkaroar 8 місяців тому

      I think back then when JJ was still new to TV the production was more lenient with the drama unfolding so that ratings could spike. Gotta remember this was at the time where shows like Jerry Springer and Maury were skyrocketing as well so they followed that trend in their own way. As JJ got lots more recognition and a reputation, then more creative control over the process of her show was given and she could really wring in these wild plaintiffs and defendants.

      It was early days and she was probably more concerned with ratings back then listening to producers. She's a real judge, got decades of experience and is respected. After a while she probably told the producers to sit on a traffic cone and spin... she'll conduct the show like her actual court. She's loaded and doesn't even care about the money at this point. Even Oprah's earlier shows were similar.
      Plus she's probably dealt with 100s of people like this woman in her family court. After so many years of this her tolerance is most likely at an all time low.... hence the shouting in newer shows.

    Wow! I can't say I've ever seen the audience and the plaintiff and defendant making so much noise and Judge Judy so quiet!!😮😮😮😮

    It's fascinating to see how unruly the early episodes of JJ were, compared with later seasons. She'd never let this arguing go that long

    Uber-bhict. Could have predicted that outcome. You don't marry the man, you give the ring back, that's Judge Judy's policy, so she got toasted. I noticed how Judge Judy spoke more and more softly at the end and it might have been in an effort to intensify the relief she wanted him to feel.

    She said he didn't pay for her kid's clothes but said he picked them up from layaway. 🙃 Girl. Don't accept "gifts" if you KNOW someone is interested in you and you don't want to be with them. I don't know about all that other stuff she said but if it was true and he was buying gifts for all her family or he messed with her sister that's MORE reason NOT to take these things from him!
