    I am installing the 13” NexGen shocks with the lift kit on my 2020 TriGlide now. Got the stock shocks removed now I just have to get the new stuff installed. I’m also installing the new rear axle bearing retaining plate while I’m at it. As soon as I can find someone who can press the bearings on/off.

      I know you will be well pleased with ride quality of the new NEXGEN™ Shocks and Lift Kit.
      I hope you find someone to help press those off. Any tire store or local shop should be able to do it with little to no effort!

    Awesome video once again, so I’m on fence on buying a 2023 Tri glide coming from a 2020 RGS. Well it’s time knees are what they use to be. Your video explained a lot of good information. Keep up the excellent videos. In the event I go to a RG 3 bike will the concept of your comfort kit work? Tia…

      Going to 3 wheels can be a lot of fun! Not sure if you've seen the video where Dwayne talks about after the first time he rode a Trike...here's a link to it- ua-cam.com/video/QglBaUe7iR0/v-deo.html
      Yes, the Convertible Comfort Lift™ works equally well on all Harley Trikes, including the RG3. KP

    Good afternoon, I’ve bought upgrades from you before. I have a 2010 ultra classic, I need a longer shifter. I only run the front and a longer brake pedal. I will remove the storage compartments to accommodate the pedals

      We do not carry a longer shift arm, but they are readily available from Harley direct or places like J&P Cycles.
      The extended brake pedal, for your year & model, that we use can be seen here- www.dkcustomproducts.com/08-13-touring-models-extended-brake-pedal-lever-arm-dk-ex-bk-08tr-c.htm

    I enjoyed these 3 videos. I bought your 13" NexGen Shocks for my 2022 CVO Tri Glide since I have HD lifts installed with OEM shocks and the ride is stiff. You stated 14" will not work on Tri Gides with lifts - correct? I am having them installed by HD next week. I tried to install them myself, but the permanent, red Loctite stopped me from loosening the four shock bolts. I measured my trike with the OEM shocks, HD Lift Kit and 26 PSI. They were: Right Fender 12 3/8", Left Fender 12", Bottom of Body at Rear 10 1/2", Center of Hubcap 12 3/4". THE FENDERS ARE 3/8" DIFFERENT. I assume, as you stated, this is due to OEM assembled it wrong, even though it was a CVO and was assembled by one individual. The HD Service Manual states the 4 rear frame screws should be adjusted so the frame side to side is within specifications of 0.125". I noted somne of the trikes you measured were not within the HD 0.125" specifications. Seems HD needs to work on their quality controls. Also, reading the service manual, I learned that there are two bolts that adjust the length of the Rear Body to the frame. You may want to prepare a video explaining these two factors and impact as well as the tire pressure, lifts, and shocks.

      Thanks for watching our vids and commenting. Good questions.
      The 14" NexGen will work with a Convertible Comfort Mount™, it is not a lift. You can see it at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/harley-trikes-convertible-comfort-lifttm-for-14-shocks.htm
      HOWEVER, the 13" NexGen's you got work just as well as the 14", and you can install them with or without a Convertible Comfort LIFT, as seen at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/tri-glide-rear-shocks-comfort-lift-kit-added-comfort-lift-dk-tri-cmft-lfkt-1551.htm
      Yep, it is rare to see a HD Trike where both fenders are exactly the same height off the ground. Fortunately, most of the time it is not very noticeable. I have owned 3 Tri Glides, and none of them were the same...but I never took the time to make any adjustment to them. I DID install R-B-T LED Mud Flaps, and besides being very useful, they also made any difference less noticeable. You can see those at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/tri-glide-mud-flaps-w-run-brake-turn-led-lights-built-in-dk-tg-mf-led.htm
      We may do a video on adjusting the heights. Thank you.
      We do have the other 3 videos you mentioned. They are listed below:
      Tire Pressure- ua-cam.com/video/aA5U3-cdm2c/v-deo.html
      (and, yes, this applies to the low profile tires on the CVO also.
      Lifts- ua-cam.com/video/marLHzA5E0g/v-deo.html
      Regarding Lifts being installed by a Dealership- We have dozens of Dealerships that buy these from us and install them regularly.
      We have other Dealerships, where the Service Department is not so good at reading or following instructions...those guys sometimes run into problems due to not following the instructions. If would be good to encourage your Dealership to read the instructions and watch the video above, if you have them install a lift.
      Shocks...we have many videos on them, but here is one of them- ua-cam.com/video/vbU6fdtxjSI/v-deo.html

      @@DKCustomProducts I had HD install the 13" NexGen to my 2022 CVO Tri Glide today. WOW, you are spot on in terms of giving a better ride over the HD stock shocks!! However, in terms of fender height, HD checked the frame height, and it was to 0.125" speculations, my right fender is still 3/8" higher than the left fender. By process of elimination, the Service manager said it has to be the 4 bolts that attach the fender to the body are 3/8" off. The Service Manager never realized this before and thus measured 3 Tri Glides on the floor - 1 was off 2/8" and the other two were the same. Just cosmetics and does not affect the ride but I expected better from HD, especially CVO cosmetics. So you can add to your videos on fender height can be off due to factory fender attachment being off.

    I watched all three videos in this series. Great information as always. I'm going to be adding your suspension setup to my 2023 tri-glide. I do have a question. If the crap shocks are removed and then I add yours, that brings the "sag" back, correct? So, does this mean that the lift portion also needs to be added to the trike? Thanks again.

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  9 місяців тому

      Yes, with all of our shocks you will have the sag back, which is part of what gives the improved ride. On your '23 if you choose one of the 13" shocks, like at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dk-custom-nexgentm-14-trike-series-shockstm-for-harley-davidson-trikes-2040.htm
      You will want to get the Comfort Lift with it to keep the height about the same as where it is with your OEM shocks that have little or no sag.
      If you go with the 14" shocks, like at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dk-custom-nexgentm-14-trike-series-shockstm-for-harley-davidson-trikes-2039.htm
      You will want to get it with the Comfort Mount, this will also keep your height about at the same as where it is with your OEM shocks.
      Either one will give you max ride height, while having proper sag, and a Much Improved Ride Quality.
      Thanks for the comment, glad you are liking the videos. Always feel free to email or call with any questions.

    Can you run a car shock 2016 tri glide

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  3 місяці тому

      You can run car air shocks, or car shocks with a coil over spring.
      That is the first thing we started experimenting with 13 years ago. We played around with it for a couple of years, testing a variety of different shocks...including some from a Corvette. We could not find any that gave a quality ride.
      It would have been nice to find some that worked well, would have saved us hundreds of hours of R&D and testing. Also, would have been far more economical.

    So my 2011 TG sits 1/2" lower on the left compared to the right. It scrapes more on the left pipe.
    I'm running 26psi. So if I reduce psi to 22, wouldn't it bottom out as scrape even more?
    I would need to install a lift kit before dropping psi?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Рік тому

      Yes, it would scrape a little easier with the drop in psi. You can add a little air to your shocks, but if they are set where they ride best, then a Convertible Comfort Lift will help you out. See link below-

    19 TG. My measurements are 3/4 inch higher than yours. I am thinking due to the air in the tires at 26 psi lifting everything up. I am going to do the comfort lift. I am also thinking of going to a slightly taller tire to take care of the lower shift points due to the gearing. What are your thoughts on the tires?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Рік тому

      You will like the comfort lift and how the new angle will help your ride quality.
      On a taller rear tire, we know some that have done that and liked it. We have not tested it, so can't offer an informed opinion. You might want to check out TrikeTalk.com and ask some of the guys there that have done it.
      We do believe that the 2017 and later Trikes could stand to be geared a bit higher.
      Most Folks end up with better shocks, and that, combined with taller tires, could cause clearance issues with the fender.
      The other option which Kevin is thinking about doing on his 2019 Tri Glide, is to use a different front pulley to get a littler taller gearing.
