I always learn good stuff from your tech talks! I tried to run a heated vest through the oem battery lead and blew a fuse. A 20 amp that connects to heated grips and aux lamps. Live and learn.
I use Anderson Power Poles for my battery tender lead. It pulls free with only 7 pounds of pull, so it always disconnects easily. I guess I got really lucky when I replaced my battery. I didn't know the trick about disabling before pulling the battery. THANKS for the tip!
My heart sank when I read 'This can't be good ...!!' and I saw Kelly's new ride apart. Even though I'm quite confident that you would make it right, I was sad that her bike would be down for a moment ... all is well and I'm so happy she has a ride that really makes her happy 😊

I purchased a brand new ‘20 FLHTP Police Electra Glide last year and a “Fan-assist oil cooler” as standard feature and I love it. I understand both Freewheeler and Trike Ultra come as a standard feature as well. Of cause it can be replaced with a standard oil cooler and program at the dealer for small fees. Thank you for your video. Safe ride 🤟🏼
Wow then I guess I've gotten lucky changing the battery's in both my '14 RK and '17 RGS because I have changed the battery's in both without pulling a fuse or cycling the IGN SW. Both have security but not an alarm. I will drag the shop manual out next time. Thanks for the tip!
Wow Shawn, I'm impressed with the build quality on Kelly's Freewheeler. Very nice. Y'all take care, I'll check the motovlog side for the ride. God bless, Rob
I have OCD and hate it when I see a bike with the exhaust not aligned correctly. Then some people don't care about things like that. I love that the Freewheeler comes with the 114 motor. I don't think I have ridden one of those. I have ridden the Tri-Glides, but not a Freewheeler. Ride Safe.

Well... She actually had to help me remove the trunk/fender assembly, so she knew I was going in there. It would have been great for her to come out there not knowing anything about it, she would have freaked out..! Lol Thanks Charles!!
I have a new iPad on the way and it is delayed for 2 weeks. I was disappointed but I know deliveries are way behind. Ships on the coast waiting to be unloaded.

Are any of the Opti-Mate's Weather Proof/Resistant? I don't have the luxury of a car port or garage, though I do put a cover on the bike when I know it may see days of rain. OptiMate doesn't doesn't have a weather resistant version, but the Battery Tender 800 www.batterytender.com/BatteryTender-800-12V-800-mA-USA-Western-Hemisphere is great for those situations. That’s very nice. You have to be proud. I know it’s nice that those soldiers we once led let us know how much we influenced their lives. God I did love it.
Hello Shawn love Kelly’s new Trike I have been tinkering around with my bikes for years but with my new Africa Twin I decided to leave it alone and take it to a qualified mechanic for exactly the reasons you have just been talking about this bike is way too complicated to mess with 😀
Yeah I changed the battery on my Harley the other day and I disconnected the old battery and the alarm went crazy I thought how the hell is that happening yes I had the fob close
If this trike is a long term purchase, I’d recommend a set of Love Jugs cooling fans. Trike motors run quite a bit hotter than bikes. More RPM, more weight, a lot more air resistance with the wide fenders, and the airflow past the motor is not a clean. The fat back end kind of blocks the clean airflow you get on a bike. Before fans, I was seeing head temps up to 320 in traffic. With the fans, it’s never above 255, even on the hottest days.
It has a oil cooler with fan in lower front I added the harley rear cylinder fan with manual and auto temp engage switch next will be adding love jugs I really enjoy this trike i purchased 2019 Blue Max FREEWHEELER 114CI now January 2023 no issues
I know you can't believe a lot of stuff you see on UA-cam, but with a lot of the problems Harley riders are "supposedly" having with their bikes, is it because they are trying to modify their bikes to perform better themselves instead of taking the bike to a dealer to be worked on? Also, thanks to you and your very informative vlogs, I now own a 2018 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited Chrome. The only problem with it is the seat. It's not very comfortable, but I intend to rectify that in the future. TCRS. Gerry Wood.
I wish I had your knowledge. I feel like mine us falling apart. Coming back from a rally my cruise control stopped working. I just parked it. I took it to get the sticker and on the way home don't have back brakes now. Parked it. Now I smell gasoline. I think who worked on it last wired the tow package wrong because I see melted wires probably from the pipes. 😢 I'm so frustrated.
Thanks for showing us under the trunk install of the battery tender. Does the Freewheeler have a limited slip, posi or open rear? Maybe the phone will show up tomorrow!👍🏻
Not sure about the rear-end, maybe I need to go out and test it out..? Lol The iPhone shipping updated today, showing Thursday the 7th. But I now have it going to a UPS location so I don't have to take another day off, even though that was really nice..! Thanks Alberto!!

Not overbuilt at all. Add 500 pounds of gear and people, and head down a 6% mountain grade at 70 mph. Imagine the rear end flexing, and the trike starts to “wiggle”. That would be the mother of all tank slappers, with guard rails a couple feet away. No thank you.
