Only to pleased to help. Please take your time in learning this piece as it is a difficult piece of music both from a technical and interpretative aspect. @@boltonguitarstudio3115 You're a great teacher! It may take some time for me to get comfortable playing it. Do you have an instagram so I can tag you once I've learnt it?

Secondly you shoe the melody minus the 1st and 2nd string additions. Of course they have to be there, but while you're getting the melody right they can be set aside to be picked up later. Thanks!

First of all, thank you so much for this tutorial Simon. I can’t stress enough how deeply grateful I am for you taking the time to divide this lesson in manageable chunks. It really means the world to me, because it was my youthful dream to become a classical guitar player, but for circumstances of life, my dream got delayed, and I can’t find a teacher where destiny put me. I’m madly in love with this piece, and this tutorial showed me how to master it. Thank you, thank you,THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your kind comments. Re techniques if you mean bars 17 to 24 you are playing an arpeggio. There are many pieces that use this technique . I would recommend Giuliani's 120 right hand arpeggios Op1a. I have practiced these daily for the past 40+ years [ great for warming-up the fingers ar the beginning of a practice session. Also pieces by Aguado, Sor , Guiliani, Carcassi will help to develop this technique. But get the Op1 of Guiliani, you will not regret it. Simon
Thank you for taking the time to answer my comment. Once again, deeply grateful for your time and effort. It just seems to me, maybe because I'm a neophyte in the classical guitar arena, but it seems that the right hand technique used in this piece creates the ilusion of playing two guitars. One doing the accompaniment and the other making the melody. It is a remarkable technique that I've always envied, and thanks to you, I'm learning it. Kinda mastered the first 3 bars. Being extra demanding with myself while playing the arpeggio. I want to learn it the right way, so I'm trying to use index, and middle to play the B string. I can tell that you've been quite a long time in this road. You play this piece effortlesly. I wish one day to be at the shadow of your heels music wise. Thank you for the musical suggestions. I'll look into it as soon as I'm finished with your Asturias' tutorial. I'm just absolutely, passionately drawn to the complexity of this piece. Cheers.

The best wau is to practice slowly and build up ths speed gradually. Also practice your scale with alternate fingers, I would also recommend studying the Giuliani Op1 right hand arpeggios.
You need to strengthen the little finger by practicing scales and slur exercises, may be some stretching exercises for the LH but never over do this . It takes time so lots of slow practice and patience . This is a virtuoso piece so take it in stages you cannot rush this type of piece.
@@boltonguitarstudio3115 pls let me explain my problem deeply, when I start that part, nail of my pinky touches nearby string and i cut them regularly, so the nail is really short and I dont understand why it touches, maybe i cant stretch enough. And I began guitar like 7 months ago, so is it possible for me to play this piece? because i really want to play this epic piece. Thank you in advance.
You can play it either way. I play it as a rasguado [ eami ] with the back of the nails flamenco style but you can play it with the thumb if you like that sound.
Dear Sir , first of all let me thank you for all your classical guitar lessons and music sheets from your website.I would like to know what is the level of playing required to learn this amazing piece of music ..I am at an intermediate level, I can play the Romanza, adelita etc.. I would like to start learning Asturias next, but unsure if it's beyond my level .
It is a difficult piece so you would have to be grade 7 - 8 although you should manage the first 24 bars with a little practice. I would leave this piece for the moment and spend some time on easier pieces such as the Sor studies may be Villa Lobos study no 1 etc. You need a pretty good bar chord technique for Asturias as the left hand starts to tire, but if you feel confident have a go. Good luck.

Great lessons! Please do a lesson on Air on the G String.
Yes shortly.
The part that begins 11:15 is big challenge to me, because of my pinky, how can i fix it plsss?
You need to strengthen the little finger by practicing scales and slur exercises, may be some stretching exercises for the LH but never over do this . It takes time so lots of slow practice and patience . This is a virtuoso piece so take it in stages you cannot rush this type of piece.
@@boltonguitarstudio3115 Thank you, master. I will do what you said.
Thank you in advance.
magical! Sir!
Thank you glad to be help.

Thank you.
Simon Request tutorial guitar Tango Isaac Albeniz thanks
I'll check it out!
thank you a lot . i was waiting for a long time for this tutorial )
A pleasure - I hope this helps you to play this great piece of music.
Should I use P on the RH to strum the barre chords? I've kinda gotten used to the back of my nails on IMA
Good luck.
Thank you for your response. I will work on a different piece of music and revisit Asturias at a later stage.
gracias maestro
Gracias, estoy encantado de ayudar a mis compañeros guiaristas.
Muy bueno!! solo faltaría la partitura o tablatura para ubicarse mejor en la guitarra. Abrazo desde Argentina. ☀Very good!! only the score or tablature would be missing to better position yourself on the guitar. Hug from Argentina. ☀🇦🇷

Saludos desde el Reino Unido. Espero que usted y su familia se mantengan saludables en estos tiempos inusuales, y que la gente de Argentina lo supere bien. Simón Sorry for my poor spanish.
