What a beautiful moment and incredible seeing all these hero people who played in my favourite syfi show of all time Star Trek 🌃 what a great interview 👏
I grew up in gang-riddled southern CA, faced gang-banger bullies everyday as one of the only white kids around. Michael Dorn on TNG was the reason I grew up respecting people for who they are instead of judging by their skin. His example is what all men should aspire to be. Hard working, family focused ...
@@yanniobkirk5744orf had an absentee approach to his child. It was a very rocky relationship on TNG, which led to an absentee approach to fatherhood. Our great Klingon hero had a fatal flaw. Hw wanted nothing to do with his child, because his child was emotional and meek. Worf was not a great dad. That relationship found redemption in DS9, and while Alexander was perceived as the ships fool aboard that bird of prey, he proved himself as a brave and intellectual member of the team. I will not spoil it further. Google it up, man.
I always loved the subtle way Worf would look super pissed whenever one of his suggestions was shot down... like he's literally supressing the urge to strangle Picard or something...
This is why I love pod casts. I've been watching Star Trek since Next Gen and have watched maybe 2000 hours of panel videos and have been to various panel reads face to face. And I never knew half the stuff I learned in this 2 hour show. This man is a treasure.

We got a brief glimpse of what James Avery would have done as a Klingon when he guested on a season 4 Enterprise arc as a Klingon general who had Phlox abducted. Avery was a fine actor who would have brought a great deal of gravitas to the role of Worf, but it's hard to imagine him doing fight scenes.
@@Norvo82 If Avery had, I wonder how Fresh Prince would've turned out without him. Worf would've been a lot fatter too. Actually, I can see Avery playing Chancellor K'mpec.
@@stvbrsn I know the scene of which you speak, and agree it is definitely a contender. In fact, my previous comment has been supplanted, as I have recently begun re-watching Enterprise and a Phlox line is an absolute killer. During the scene where Phlox is giving Malcolm his rehab following his injury in the previous episode "Minefield", Malcolm challenges the ethics of Phlox causing the sort of pain brought on by the exercise. Phlox's response of, "It would be unethical for me to harm a patient, but I can inflict as much pain as I like," was such a killer line I had to show it to my own physical therapist, who also laughed out loud.

The number of views this video got, is a huge testament to the popularity of Worf from now 3 series and Trek movies. One of your most viewed videos. Captain Worf from Enterprise E, quite the journey! Can’t picture a life without shows like Star Trek. Love you guys and how you put your heart into what we all love. God bless!
The last generation episode was a wonderful ending. Mr Dorn The Next Generation got me through a very dark time in my life. I just wanted you and everyone associated with the show that for me it was important.
I realise it's not Trek. But i'm sure there is a lot of crossover in the fanbases. Connor, please get some of the actors from Stargate on the show. So many Trek actors did episodes, some like Robert Picardo even became regulars for a while. I'd love to see that.
I just love Micheal Dorn, he is such a nice guy. I also like the arrangement, having the guest not in the middle, makes it much more relaxed, not having the guest in focus.
As someone who reads music I like to clarify on what Michael said about it going away: It does not. Once you progress over a certain threshhold. Usually you learn to read treble clef first and once that is firmly ingrained you go for bass clef. These two you need for the piano. If you stop playing a clef too early then you will have to relearn it, but once you played enough music from printed scores, for about a year, then that does not go away any longer. I used to have trouble with ledger lines for the longest time. Anything above 2 lines would give me trouble, but even that goes away with enough practice.
Was that really the eighth episode already? Wow! Time just flies by. It was again a lot of fun to watch. I looked into the chat every now and then, but was so captivated by the interview that it was very rare. Thanks to all of you!🖖🌻
This is an incredibly engrossing video. A lot of other vids, I have to stop and come back, but this two hours have flown by. Good job! Ooh, right near the end, I was wondering about the Castle show.
Seriously, Star Wars productions never did anything for me, still don't. George Lucas has made some great films, and Gene Roddenberry was at another level entirely--visionary.
Im not sure why people are saying dom is interrupting. its a back and forth podcast. the whole thing sounds super natural just these awesome star trek icons chatting its great
Worf in Picard is one thing that I wish could spin off. I know Stewart was adamant about the characters needing to be who they had become. It was so succesful in Worf. Inspired!
Honestly think this is the best podcast on the net at present, not just in sci-fi but I'm including other TV shows, movies, sports, politics etc, etc. This is an interview over two hours long, the length of a movie, but it flew by.

Michael Dorn! I grew up watching the original series and also remain a super fan of the first star trek! My question to you is - is there anything your about character Worf did that you personally did not like and why? Also here's a little trivia for you Mr. SuperFan - in the Original Series what did Kirk say to Spock with respect to the Dolmin (sp?) of Elas? Here's a hint "Mr. Spock, the women...." Welcome back Dominic! So good to see you back!
I can’t believe Michael is 70, he looks great! His voice is soooo different from that of Worf. What a deep growly voice he gave the character. It’s so distinct. It’s like Kevin Conroy for Batman.
It is always so much good to see from Michael Dorn and also the inclusion of Conner Trineer. When it comes to talking about Star trek but at the same time regarding overall health and attitudes. I have been inspired just on verifying different subjects alone and shall share within my own community with or without nessceray including star trek as a way of introducing any precepts to what I have learned. Live long and Prosper!
I just started watching these and was thinking the same thing. Wasnt sure if it was just me, or just a fluke but I agree. It's off-putting and almost makes me want to stop watching. He talks over the other hosts too not just the guests.
Unfortunately some people get overly exuberant in conversations. I've had interactions with quite a few people who are like that but they don't realize they're doing that during interviews or conversations. It takes some training to be a good interviewer/conversationalist who needs to be both a good speaker but also a good listener. Nothing against Dominic, as I've said some people are simply like that and many don't realize it, I don't think he was deliberately being rude. BTW, it's also cultural, some Asian cultures are very similar in the way people talk and react, you would think there is a raging argument going on when they get together and chat but it's not the case. Northern European cultures are much more reserved when speaking while peoples from the tropics are more "animated" and dynamic.
I was thinking the same when i saw shuttlepod for first time , but after i saw more episodes i like his approach it gives it more lifelike feeling and shows that Dominic really is present and interested with those questions . I start to like it .
I just discovered this podcast last weekend and I am floored!!! I have been jumping from episode to episode and this is what the conventions and other talk shows don't do. Which is let the guest talk about what they want to....I think your podcast is Awesome!!!

I have loved all of the interviews so far, but as a TNG homie from the time the show debuted when I was 3 years old, Michael Dorn is by far my favorite guest on thus far. When DS9 first debuted, I just could not get into the show initially. The tone of the show was just so much darker and grittier than in TNG, but I gave it a second chance when Michael joined the cast. Since then, it has become a better late than never favorite of mine, even on rewatching the first few seasons again before Michael joins. I have especially appreciated DS9 even more later in life as I have continued to catch new little subtle things throughout the series with an increasingly more mature eye and appreciation for the show.
Michael is 70 years old -- he looks FANTASTIC! He's always seemed like a really nice guy. I enjoyed this interview.

Those of you who are snarking that "he needs to let the guest talk" are missing what he's really doing. He's not talking over the guest. He's helping them keep on topic and forwarding the conversation. He's doing great. A silent interviewer wouldn't get nearly this high quality of interview. Bravo Dom!
What a beautiful moment and incredible seeing all these hero people who played in my favourite syfi show of all time Star Trek 🌃 what a great interview 👏
I went to Woolworths, purchased my prune juice and watched this in one sitting. Just friggin awesome.
Adam! You get today’s “Awesome Award” because that is awesome. Thank you!
@@ShuttlepodShow Thanks guys from down under.
I'm always skeptical about casts who claim to be such good friends and get along. But I'm convinced the TNG cast love each other.
My happiest discovery of 2023 is this UA-cam channel. Brilliant.
Thank you.
I grew up in gang-riddled southern CA, faced gang-banger bullies everyday as one of the only white kids around. Michael Dorn on TNG was the reason I grew up respecting people for who they are instead of judging by their skin. His example is what all men should aspire to be. Hard working, family focused ...
Family focused 😂. He's definitely not winning any awards for his parenting skills.
@@trekkid please elaborate.
Thank you! That’s a compliment.
I could spend a whole day chatting with Michael Dorn. He´s fantastic.
Absolutely loved this interview. What an honour to have a living legend of the franchise recant his experiences and incites.
I only wish Dominic wouldn't have constantly interrupted, overspoke and try to make it all about him 😒
Other than that - Amazing interview 👏 🖖
We love dom!!! I actually teared up seeing dom back in the pod!
I like Dom too, but I wish he would let Michael talk and stop interrupting him…
Oh, b1bmsgt, play nice.
Dom’s just enthusiastic.
@@b1bmsgt you're not kidding, ask a guest a question and interrupt constantly? Throws the rhythm right off.
@@b1bmsgt very true. I just discovered the show 3 weeks ago and found the conversations a lot more relaxed and fluent. also felt like there was 50% conversation and 50% "yeah", "right".
I've watched this episode 3 times now, I know what's comming, but I enjoy the hell out of it each time... Michael is just great!
I loved the chemistry between the ppl on this episode. I loved Dominic and Michael’s back and forth. It felt like a real conversation rather than an interview. ❤ Keep doing what you all do. To me this episode is the best of them all.
Maybe some of us would want Dominic to tone down, but I'd say it's still alright to keep the dynamics of their conversations
Wait a minute. So there's an alternate universe out there where Uncle Phil is saying "I am not a merry man?"
Worf protesting, "I am not a merry man," has to be one of the best lines in the entire cannon. It just works on so many levels. :D
@@Norvo82 If Avery had, I wonder how Fresh Prince would've turned out without him. Worf would've been a lot fatter too.
Actually, I can see Avery playing Chancellor K'mpec.
@@gestaltdude it’s ok… but the big winner for me (hands down) is “I will feed him.”
I reeaalllyy want to hear an ATC recording of Michael Dorn saying "Today is a good day to fly."
Hilarious! 👏👍😂 Wilco, Q‘pla.
His normal speaking voice isn't very deep. Makes me wonder if they did digital alteration on his voice for the show.
@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 hi, nope, that were the 80s, so not much of digitally everything, neither visually nor audio. Mike told himself as I vividly remember, he had to pitch down his acting voice…. 😛
@@losmosquitos1108 you got that right. It was him doing his job the right way. Not aided by sound effects or anything.
Awesome interview with Michael Dorn and Dom is BACK!! Lots of great stories from Michael which is truly enjoyed. Our man @Mark Cartier once again was the #RepresentativeNerd and won the Trek Trivia challenge, sorry to my fellow Patreon Patron at the loss by the Lads and Michael.
Hahaha
Dom's back! Happy to see him healthy and laughing. And of course Michael Dorn! You guys have been killing it with the guests since the beginning. Keep up the good work!
28:15 - “His wees get neak.” Pause. Replay. Dissolve into uncontrollable laughter.
Simply delightful show; so glad to have found this! Thanks for making it!
Hahaha. Thank you!
I am a Trekkie fan but was never a extreme one, so was a fluke when I stumbled on the channel and came across Mr Dorn along with the "crew" that brings the Shuttlepod One to life and I have to say, this entire show was truly a lot of fun to watch and listen in to the whole session. You certainly have added another subscriber for sure. Great stuff!
Oh, thank you, DJ- we are grateful to have you. Thank you for the kind words.
Any chance of a collab show with the Delta Flyers? As a kid who grew up with TNG and all those that followed, having all this Trek content is amazing.
We would love to do that.
@@mjcartier That would be awesome!
We’d love to. Hopefully.
I bet Bob and Garret are probably busy with chronicling their remaining episodes, but they're almost on to season seven, and I bet after that they'd be totally open to a collaboration episode!
That would be cool, it's the only 2 trekcasts I listen to.
Great to see Dom back in action and again a thoroughly enjoyable episode with Mr. Dorn! Keep them rolling!
Thank you!
I have been a fan of Michael's for a long time, but after this interview I like him even more. He is just amazing, intelligent, gracious and simply a kind person.
This season is killing it! Every episode has been incredible. Guest i'm most crossing my fingers for: Ron D Moore
Awesome guest intuition, friend.
@@ShuttlepodShow you just put a cherry on top of the year
Yes please .... Ronald D Moore
@@ShuttlepodShow if you get Moore, could you be bold enough to ask him ' what is required to course correct the current new Trek under Kurtzman & Co, to bring it back to the heights of legacy Trek?' ... I understand it's a delicate question - however it really needs to be spoken about & discussed. PLEASE!!!
Each show is just eye opening. I feel like I am sitting with my friends...get my coffee, get comfy on the sofa and sit back and take in the joy. To Connor and Dominick: I wish I had the power to bring back Enterprise....and to Michael Dorn....thanks for a wonderful show.
I have watched this interview like 10+ times now and it never gets boring - well done all...
The number of views this video got, is a huge testament to the popularity of Worf from now 3 series and Trek movies. One of your most viewed videos. Captain Worf from Enterprise E, quite the journey! (Worf made it to captain in the books if I am correct!) He has such a great voice, powerful and endearing to his fans.
Worf was my favorite character on both shows
Super hyped to see him in Picard! Thank you Michael!
Total sci Fi geek here! Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, all the Trek series, Stargate series. This interview was my favorite so far. Eat and drink for tomorrow we may die!
Michael Dorn is the best guest you have had on so far!
Can’t picture a life without shows like Star Trek. I have faith in all the trek series to align and regroup accordingly to make the next transitions to the “real stark trek we all love.” So proud of us and how we are evolving and how the magic is done to mirror our behaviors through the best storytelling in the universe. Love you guys and how you put your heart into what we all love. God bless!
I could listen to you talk for ever. Thank you for everything.
This show just gets better and better. Great questions and good pace. Love the quality of the guests. Michael Dorn was fantastic!
Thank you
The last generation episode was a wonderful ending.
As someone who reads music I like to clarify on what Michael said about it going away:
It does not.
Thanks to all of you!🖖🌻
Thank you, Margit!
This is an incredibly engrossing video. A lot of other vids, I have to stop and come back, but this two hours have flown by. Good job! Ooh, right near the end, I was wondering about the Castle show.
As an artist I'm blown away with everything they have created for Star Trek. Such a creative show for so many years!
Seriously, Star Wars productions never did anything for me, still don't. George Lucas has made some great films, and Gene Roddenberry was at another level entirely--visionary.
Im not sure why people are saying dom is interrupting. its a back and forth podcast. the whole thing sounds super natural just these awesome star trek icons chatting its great
How on earth am I just hearing about this now?! Out-freaking-standing! New show to love!
Thank you!!
Worf in Picard is one thing that I wish could spin off. I know Stewart was adamant about the characters needing to be who they had become. It was so succesful in Worf. Inspired!
Son of Moog
House of roshenko
House of Martok.
Bane to the Duras family.
SLAYER OF GOWRON.
(Would u like some chamomile tea?)
Honestly think this is the best podcast on the net at present, not just in sci-fi but I'm including other TV shows, movies, sports, politics etc, etc.
This is an interview over two hours long, the length of a movie, but it flew by.
Thank you, Adrian! We are grateful for you watching and for the very kind words!
So glad to see Dominic back on the show. Hope he received the box I sent to him while he was recuperating.
We are helping Dom with all of the thank yous. There are a lot!
I have loved Michael Dorn as Worf for 30 years. Probably not the only teenager in the 90s with a crush on a Klingon 😆 Thank you for your work on this wonderful character.
The living legend that is Michael Dorn! And Dom is back! Well done team, you smashed the ball out of the park with this episode. Your show is essential viewing, keep up the great work. Thank you.
Dorn is a totally cool guy. Met him while working for Jimmy Doohan. I remember him from Chips as Officer Turner.
Luling, Texas. As a Texas native, the biggest thing there is Bucc-ee's, where we have stopped many times. You have to understand, Bucc-ee's is a stop that is like no other. It is its own experience. Great town to hail from, Mr. Dorn.
Am I the only one who would pay real money to watch Michael Dorn as Worf playing bass in a rock band of Klingons?
Michael Dorn in makeup/character - fierce Klingon warrior, Michael Dorn out of makeup/character: your therapist.
Yes!!!!!❤❤❤
After Picard season 3, in makeup he's both.
I grew up in Alvarado Texas which shared a school district with Lilian Texas and I never knew this. This makes me so happy how much lives have changed from this area. My parents currently live in Tyler Texas and I live in Dallas. Michael Dorn has always been one of my Star Trek favorites.
This was a fantastic episode! It helps Michael Dorn has such a smooth voice and is easy on the ears! So amazing to see him in a casual setting and to learn the wealth of personal reminisces, encounters and experiences!! Great episode guys! If this was baseball, this was a home run!
Thank you!
Dom and Dorn!
So glad to see Dom back 🙃
Amazing how soothing Michael's voice is, while Worf's feels so gruff.
This is my FIRST SHOW WITH MICHEAL DORN GUEST STAR. I can't believe I've sat here for over 2 hours RIVETED TO EVERYONE CHATTER OF STAR TREK & ELSEWHERE DAYS!! -REALLY ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ EXCELLENT ! Learned lots of things! BEST OF HEALTH ALL!
Thank you!!
Guys the Show has been amazing as usual. Everyone that put it together should be very proud! I guessed Romulans too. Bummer, right?!
Hahaha. Romulans. Got us all.
So wonderful to see Dominic back and at what a great time to be with the great Michael dorn
Easily the best podcast going, I've recommended to so many of my friends and they love it too! Michael was boss in this interview!
Awesome, thank you!
All fans of Star Trek need to know about this channel.
Great to see Dominic back.
Came across this show by accident and am so glad I found it. Great interview with Dorn. Insightful questions and follow up from the hosts. Just loads of fun. Best wishes to everyone involved. Thank you all very much!
Spock, the women...."
Welcome back Dominic!
No hate, but Dominic, you gotta let people answer when you ask them a question. Let them get out their take before you cut in.
Northern European cultures are much more reserved when speaking while peoples from the tropics are more "animated" and dynamic.
he's probably just excited
I was thinking the same when i saw shuttlepod for first time , but after i saw more episodes i like his approach it gives it more lifelike feeling and shows that Dominic really is present and interested with those questions . I start to like it .
Thanks for letting me know. I'm skipping this one sadly.
I just discovered this podcast last weekend and I am floored!!! I have been jumping from episode to episode and this is what the conventions and other talk shows don't do. Which is let the guest talk about what they want to....I think your podcast is Awesome!!!
Wow! I love this 💘 and love Michael! I hope to meet him someday!
Thank you all for making this video! ✌😘👍💞💞💞💞💞
I think this is my favorite interview that I've seen yet on this show! Love love love Michael!
Love Michael Dorn. Brilliant actor, great guy.
This was a fantastic episode. All have been great of course. I look forward to seeing where the show goes. The sky's the limit!
Thank you!
Everyday we all get to share this world with such a beautiful man is an absolute blessing ❤love you Michael Dorn
JUST STUMBLED UPON THIS CHANNEL, LOVE STAR TREK! MICHAEL DORN ROCKS! I ENJOYED THE CONVERSATION!
Hahaha. Glad you’re here
I really didn't want to force myself to watch Picard Season 3. But now I basically have to. Delightful interview.
Lovely seeing Michael Dorn here. He was fantastic as Worf. Qapla! Success!
