This could have been very one-sided but Mel Brooks was great at supporting her laughing at her jokes telling how attractive she was. He made her shine, the joke about the band being animals or her not wearing a bra. He realy likes women and made his actresses look wonderful. Also that girls are less funny than boys as comedians gives it away as stupid. Love Mel Brooks.

Mel Brooks is a an absolute gem. First class.
He is the last of the greats. Stay healthy, my friend. The world needs you.
Man is that true.

Oh I miss these talk shows with truly talented, interesting, classy people.
Another "thing of the past" ........
Intelligent, meaningful conversation.
It’s Jan 2022 and Mel is still with us at 95. Get Smart is my favorite creation of his, right next to Young Frankenstein.
It’s Jan 2023 and he just announced History of the World: Part 2🤯
It's 2024 and Mel Brooks is 98 and still priceless.
Mel Brooks is a genius. Carson is fantastic.
Love you Mel Brooks. You're very brilliant man. Stay healthy Mr. Brooks ❤❤❤😊😊
Mel Brooks. Wonderful...and still this quick at 90. A man with an Oscar, Emmy Grammy, and a Tony.
Thank you for posting.
Yes, not many can claim this. Also an amazing guy. Every see him talk about his wife (Anne Bancroft) ...or her about him? Their faces say it all.
Self praise is no praise
Wonderful show. Brooks and Garr. Wish the show were a bit longer, but hey Johnny was king, and his word was law. Thanks for sharing!
I agree that Mel Brooks is soo funny, and l love him for that. Thank you Ann and Mel. You two make me laugh even to this day.
And l am ancient!!❤
I was 20 on this now classic night !! WONDERFUL TIMES 2 be young it was !!
I was 18. Probably watched this in the dorms, that night.

Love Terri Garr. She was great in After Hours ❤
Mel Brooks is the king of comedy,
What a brilliant
mind, I love you Mel
I sincerely hope that when I die and I go to meet God he is actually Mel Brooks. That would be Heaven!
Yes, talent wins through and Mel Brooks, Teri Garr and of course that superb facilitator Mr Carson had it in abundance.
Mel Brooks Is The King!
Mel and Johnny playing the drums on his desk. Brilliant ❤
Carson crushing a George Burns impression.
I feel like Lisa Kudrow took a lot of inspiration and lead from Teri Garr
"To Be or Not to Be" is great. The scene in which Ann Bancroft vamps a Gestapo chief is one for the history books!
Mel Brooks is my IDOL !!!!
Mel you are the best!!!
Mel was a great drummer too !!
I know thanks, I was just saying he was an active drummer for years ...Love the man !
Thank you Conan for doing this interview. It's the best. Mel Brooks is the king. Thank you to whoever made this happen. In any way.
Carson not Conan
@@donkilgore4349 OMG...jealous much?
Where is Mel Brooks now that we really need him and the wisdom of The Two Thousand Year Old Man?
POLISH - if you are Polish please watch this great movie - To be or not to be------------------------I love you Mel
Johnny’s chinchilla Amos and Andy joke wouldn’t fly today.
He’d be putting out an apology statement within 24 hours.
Unforgettable Mel
Long live freedom and all legends
Wishing all the greatest were still here
Like Johnny
Don
Dean
This era is horrid
2023 we still miss them

Great show all around. Teri Garr was a perfect follow-up.
Mel Brooks 2024!
My God Terri ...........BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
And rather witty, too!
Spaceballs is my favorite of this man and blazing saddles
Love the one & only Johnny Carson.
Teri Garr was drop-dead gorgeous.
Very proud as a Dutch to see (a drawing of) Johan Cruijff in the break 17:19
Very cool

I Luv Mel's legs!
Yeah... and Terri's too.
OK, gotta watch "To Be Or Not To Be" now
Didn’t he used to be younger?
“Your mothers naive.” - Johnny Carson …..lol
Teri Garr reminds me of Lisa Kudrow from Friends.
Can see it now, but Terri much prettier.
Teri is her Mom
I like his accent
the movie was clever and had some really funny scenes
Carole Lombard died before 1942 in plane crash I thought.
It happened in January of 1942.
Brilliant
WHO WAS SHE ?????????????
Mel Brooks's funniest Carson appearance (IMHO): ua-cam.com/video/WYuv-8SjjPg/v-deo.html
Got legs ? ? ?
