That area fenced off by the back area was where the 2020 coaster was supposed to go. It's a wild mouse. The joker denchers actually move/chomp, but someone keeps forgetting to plug them in.
Damn. The memories of riding Cobra over and over, then leveling up to Kong, then finally Medusa + Vertical Velocity. I need to visit this place again. Haven't been there since they had the Tony Hawk ride.
That Tony Hawk was so bad 😂. I wish they’d replace Kong and Boomerang with either one large flagship or two new units because they’re both everyone’s least favorite. Just too much money I guess
Medusa was the rollercoaster that broke my cherry. Was absolutely terrified of roller coasters until my big brother “forced” me to go on Madusa. I remember crying and not wanting to do it. Then afterward I did it I was hooked. And have loved every coaster since then. Good memories.
Fun fact: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, formerly Marine World Africa USA/Six Flags Marine World, used to have its own killer whale show dating back to the 1980s. Shouka was the name of the killer whale. Sadly last I heard Shouka joined shamu at sea world in San Diego so no more killer whale show there anymore. @@ThemeParkObsessionDD it still has great animal areas as well , a butterfly house in the back, tigers, lions, kangaroos, there's a house for birds and you can feed them, there is a giraffe enclosure where you can feed them also. Allegedly, Fresno is in negotiations with Six Flags to relocate the park there. More open land, no height restrictions, and better taxes... Fresno has been working on building an aquarium, and this would most likely tie into the animal move too.

X2 is so rattley!
The Joker looks Awesome! 👏🏾👏🏾🕺🏽🕺🏽
In some parts of your video, you have that Adam The Woo accent in describing some things like the "steel coaster" etc. hahahaha. Was that intentional? hahaha. lol.
They all hang out a lot and rub off each other. Surprised he didn't say "best remove em ", lol
Haha I just realized you used on-board audio with off-ride POV, that’s a clever and creative way to give an on-ride experience! Maybe you’ve done this for other edits but I’m a newer sub, so just noticing. Great stuff! 🔥
We're going to be moving to fairly close to this park so great to get some advance info on it!
My home park!
The coasters are a lot of fun. Was glad to finally get Joker as a credit.
Great video Dylan. I live in California more towards the Oregon border & Bay Area theme parks are the closest. Wish I could go there more often.
I love how you recorded the audio from your watch and then matched it to the video. Very nice!
Six flags discovery kingdom isn't that far from me. A lot of people from the south loves our six flags and I'm glad you like ours too
We are going on Monday! Thanks for posting this!
how was it? were the lines super long?
@@macias7125 lol unfortunately we left early because soo many people had no attempt at a mask and it was hot with long lines.. but it was Memorial Day.. I should have known. We did enjoy seeing the animals and the butterflies though!
I don't know why but the cobra doesn't go around twice anymore
I literally grew up near there.I watched the park being built.
Wow! That’s so cool, did you ever end up going?
@@tiamaye2203 all the time
I’m curious to see what you think. When we went a couple of weeks ago it was horrible. Barely anything open so lines were still crazy long!
Aw, I'm so sorry you had a poor experience when you went. Right now, or at least the time you went, staffing has been a struggle so if we dont have the staffing then we are limited to open rides unfortunately, but try again this summer! More rides will be open! This is coming from a former Rides supervisor from SFDK :)
The older I get the more those crazy coasters make the hair on the back of my neck stand up!
Allegedly, Fresno is in negotiations with Six Flags to relocate the park there. More open land, no height restrictions, and better taxes...
Fresno has been working on building an aquarium, and this would most likely tie into the animal move too.
You can't be serious, it's hotter than hell there, the animals would totally be miserable there. The market in the bay area is still big.
I remember when it was just a zoo back in the day and the killer whale show was the best thing at that park. . The rides started popping up when I was in high school. BTW kong is not that great of a ride. But Medusa is one incredible ride. Remember going to that when it first opened.
Batman reminds me of (what used to be) green lantern at magic mountain 😂
pretty sure its the same ride
@@twistedimagev2 It's not. Green Lantern was made by Intamin, and this ride is technically made by S&S but built by RMC and designed by the same person that designs all the RMC layouts.
Similar concept but this version is a waaayyyy better design then what Green Lantern was.
Discovery Kingdom first opened in 1968 and was originally called Marine World
Happy Tubevirsary Dylan here's 2 many more years of Entertainment
