sir can u post on community screenshot farm crop rotation and other farms thx u very much
Use Oak for tree farms. Spruce and Juniper only give 2-3 logs per tree. Maple does 4-5. Oak yields 6-7 logs per tree.
You can even have 3 traders, also sometimes you can buy stuff cheap from one trader and sell it to another one for more money xD
This 👍
Basic hint: Too many fisherhuts arent good because they just empty the lake sooner.
You need to balance it out properly so the fish can recover. Every lake, depending on size, can only support a fixed amount of fisherhuts.
This. That was my thought with the hunter advice as well. The deer population will go to zero with too many hunter cabins. Just gotta monitor it for a year or 2.
My first play through I was booming and then I found out fish was going away I was shocked and didn't know about the best farming method lol I just quit and started my 2nd play through.
Same here, had no idea fishing could be overdone and so I loaded up the shoreline and then at some point my food went to practically zero and I couldn't understand why so I decided to look at every single food source and when I came to a fishing shack it said 0% productive or something like that. I was like WTF??? I thought it was a bug in the programming or something so I went searching for answer and found out about both fishing and hunting being depletable.
Thank you. That was really helpful. I learned a lot from this video and you made it easy to understand. Keep it up.
Thanks for the kind words!
Normally I only play / watch Rimworld, but someone on my channel recommended Farthest Frontier. I watched some of your videos and found them interesting, so you got a like and a sub from me my friend.
2:30 Same decos do stack. It's a display bug. After you build it the bonus will be added.
The bonus is greatly reduced. It'll go up only 1%
@@QuickTipshow Just did an experiment with medium gardens (tier 1) and houses (tier 1). First garden +4, second garden +3, third garden +3, fourth garden +3. Went from 15 percent desirability to 28 percent. If you have the time please check it out. Could be a bug somewhere on one of our ends. I have duplicated this in 2 separate games. Great tips by the way!! Love your format. Don't like watching a 30 minute video for 10 tips!!
@@dflatt1783 This is from the official game guide:
Note that having duplicates of certain decorations near a home will not improve its desirability further. Likewise, overlapping a structures of the same type, ex. Large Park and a Small Park, in one area will not have much of an impact, if at all.
Smaller decorations, such as gardens, benefit only a small area, but multiples of them still increase desirability.
I think the decorations not stacking might be a bug. I have lines of medium gardens and have desirability up around 50% currently.
This is what the Dev's said about Decorations.
Somethings stack. Somethings won't. SO not a bug. it is intended. Just spam a bunch of small plazas along your roads.
"Note that having duplicates of certain decorations near a home will not improve its desirability further. Likewise, overlapping a structures of the same type, ex. Large Park and a Small Park, in one area will not have much of an impact, if at all"

RonEmpire's comment is spot on. I keep seeing YT's say they don't stack but that is not completely true as described below.
@@RonEmpire I agree, but before you spam small plazas upgrade your roads since the devs never added a tab feature for stacked items.
A tip on the trees. Go completely apeshit on planting them, in every square inch outside of your town, then assign tons of builders. Late game, with 20-30 builders assigned, you can plant faster than you cut.
lil tips for early game. when 2 traders came see the buy and sell thing for each traders sometimes trader 1 sell cheaper than the buy than trader 2. so you can buy cheaper thing at trader 1 and then sell it to trader 2 for easy money. also you can trade when pause too so the trader not go away when you do that
also i got this dunno bugs or it is the mechanism, when 2 small pond or what ever its name. i tried put 2 fisherman almost cover all the pond since it is very small. sometimes the fish in lake fished all and make my fisherman dont have a job also the no fish icon poping out at fisher hut for 2 of me. at last 2 or 3 month each year in autumn or 2 month near winter
Thank you! I'm pretty sure it's gonna be my next lovely game.
Certain Decorations do stack FYI. Been using small plaza spam on roads and even upgrading them to get my desirability high.
wow thats evil! nice one!
A tip on the wood, don't cut down all trees and leave a barren area around your town. Trees regrow when there's other trees nearby. Cut like half of the trees and move that cutting area around the town. You'll have plenty of wood close to the town for ever. As the town get's bigger, your cutting circle gets bigger. But even then you will reach a point where your consumption of wood is too high, in that case, trade for wood. Don't ever clear out all trees around your town.
This definately works for me. I would also suggest, adjust the number of workers in the circle according to the density to allow for regrowth. SO, perhaps 2 workers per camp. OR...move the circle as the forest gets down, but not completely wiped. But, an easier more "auto" method is, make numerous camps with only 1-2 workers.
How to remove the cutting area? Sorry newbie here
I hope the first fixes and tweaks come soon... like a stone quarry or a fix for the temporary shelters for work camps/mines so we can spread them out better for more resources.
stone quarry is an absolute must for sure
Thanks for the vid!
On medium setting I constantly see a deer icon with up to 7 deer reduce to 2-3 by a single hunter. The deer are right in the middle of a forest which I don't harvest to preserve the deer. If I'd place a second hunter cabine in its vicinity I'd wouldn't have any deer left after a short time. Also, on the default medium difficulty I'm swimming currently in roughly 3k of stones as near my village was a really huge amount of stones present which I needed to clear out for more residential areas.
However, I have yet to find a blueberry bush on my map and also I only have one occurrence of hay so far which I can use to craft baskets. Unfortunately the roaming vendors hardly ever sell this and so my basket hut is idle most of the time. It is sad that resources are just randomly divided and that you need luck on which products vendors offer.
best tips ever !!!! thanks :)
Holy vocal bass. Gotta roll some of that off!
nice job sir!!!
personally i find making tons of pottery extremely profitable
since it only requires clay as material
and clay pits are easy to find and usually have 2000-5000 amount of clay to dig
depend on the map. I was playing in a map that only have about 1000 clay in total in the entire map. but candles and clothes are renewable.
@@danilooliveira6580 yeah I def do candles 🕯 and if I get clay I'll make pottery. But I gotta keep my gold up to pay for doctors and services. I then try to buy some soap, iron, etc..
That is the cool thing about this game. You can have different playing experiences depending on your map and the resources available.
@@michaelw6222 that is true, kinda like what made dwarf fortress good. I once played in a map where the only resource I had in abundance was silver, so I just made almost everything out of silver. though I wish the resource and production chains in this game were a bit more complex.
MAN, I got the same seed hahahhahahaha, it's a nice seed, good to know that you can move the fishing area of a fish house, and who get the honey from the bees too hahahaha, ty man
Can you plant open fields of clover and attract deer into them to be hunted? The clover would also presumably be great for bees?
was wondering if you could give a tip on transporting Ore over long distances. Is there a way of setting up a wagon route to transport the stuff
Basic premise of these games with trade: Always be the industrialist. Buy all your raw materials, process it and resell for great profit.
I'll often buy logs just to turn into planks to sell later. 1 log can be turned into 2 planks which sell for higher per plank.
If you make a fair amount of money buy oak trees and plant a large forest next to your industry and one or two stockyards. When they are fully grown plant new trees. When you plant the trees labourers will cut the trees (clearing the build area) and the builder will do the rest. Now you more labourers to do everything else.
Great vid
Thanks a lotttt
Damn your town looks so organized. I just simply crammed house and farm in one big area
small decorations stack...shrubs, small gardens, medium gardens, garden trail, small plaza, etc...anything bigger than 2x2 or the garden trail seem to not stack
The trees put up as decoration, are they up for harvesting, or to accent housing? If up for housing improvement, I would think they wouldn't get cut down for wood. That burns up a lot of gold, so another solution seem necessary.
Trees also help your wells. I'm not sure how they do that, but it says on the well that they work better near/with tree cover.
I think decorations do stack atm, i have tons of little gardens in my city and reached 100%
Could you tell us, what is the map seed, and difficulty level you're playing on? I had a quick look through the comments and couldn't see anything, cheers 👍🏼
If you need wood.... Plant oak trees they give like +7 forests are unsustainable because you need like a forest every year just to get by.
Couldn't you plant the fruit trees from t he arborist and then chop them down after they've matured? Just that those ones are free
I think the only thing we need is for people like you to learn punctuation.
You shouldnt cut all the trees, if dont cut all trees the remaining make new little Trees and if they grown up you can cut them again.
thanks
Does anyone know how to repair houses and trading posts? I cant find any buttons on the GUI that would indicate repairing (I have repaired other buildingt that had the button light up that looks like a hammer and pickaxe, it has not lit up on my building that need repaired)
so far that is a common issue. some say to have enough builders and enough planks to get it done., but moving the house will also fix it.
The reason you have no first growth is you clear cut. You can cut only mature wood and the forests will grow naturally.
So is it common at the endgame phase that we need to buy un-renewable resources like stone, iron ore, sand, and coal?
Love your videos - new to FF - how do u place iron/gold ore on mountains where the deposit are located, but it says "too steep" to place on side of mountain?
There's a leveling tool on the lower right side. You may have to do it several times to get it level enough to build on.
@@MainerdLoyd thank you so much!!
Some great tips there thank you. I’ve been playing for a day now and my pops don’t seem to like collecting wood. I’ve got trees everywhere and there not cutting them down. I’m thinking it’s a glitch.
make sure you have enough of your people assigned as general laborer's. They're the only people who cut trees (And work camps)
Not sure if the same with me, but I had queued up chopping trees but no one was doing it. when I checked the pops tab - everyone had jobs and no one was free to be a laborer. When I freed like 5 they started chopping
I use work camps to harvest wood so I have a dedicated group of loggers spread out that will cut trees as they grow for a steady supply. Just make sure to have "mature trees only" selected.
@@TenaciousCarn This is the correct answer. You need to pay more attention to the jobs tab in the town centre, if your villagers are allocated to too many professions or builders, there won't be any laborers left to perform the more menial tasks like gathering and transporting resources. I find it unnecessary to have too many builders most of the time, unless I'm undergoing a major building stint.
I did see a screenshot in the Farthest Frontier discord that your regular citizens without jobs can harvest the honey too. I can search for it if you would like, or I am sure it's easily found on there.
Great vid man!
But all of this doesn't really matter when all of your city collapse when the workers DOESN'T FIX THE GODDAMNS BUILDING
Please, does anyone knows how to?
@3:35 "Sometimes I grow forests on my own."
How do you do that?
Have you reached the edge of the large map? how large is it?
My problem is food man, once i get around 150 people i run out of food. I have like 5 gatherers, 8 hunters, and 3 10x10 crop fields. Its crazy.
Have the same problem
make 7X10 or 6X12 farm. they r the best for farm to farmer ratio
I put blueberries near root cellar and let laborers pick them . Let foragers pick other stuff that laborers can't get .
They do stack but u only see it after u built them
Like and comment. i love it
I have a ton of firewood but the houses still don't get them ugh
Your tips are great but your audio was very difficult to hear with all the echo. 😃
oi, how to repair buildings pls ? thanks
wahts the work of the wagon?
I wall off wild land around deer herds. Game preserve and let deer repopulate after time for maximum success
OMG blueberry farms??
It is a pretty interesting idea, but I am thinking it would be better to place the blueberries around the forager shacks since they are a late season crop and most forager shacks will have mostly early spring stuff to harvest.
i cant move the blue berry thoo..
how to enable it??
You can always move blueberry bushes. It's the golden button to the left of the red x in the top right corner. Click a bush, click that button, click somewhere new for it to be (must be a valid location).
I didn't subscribe because you didn't want me to, I did it because it slipped and I don't feel like changing it

Thanks!
Subscribed...Sorry!!
Why do you always say "don't subscribe to me"?
It seems after tier 3 this game is dead - no additional buildings and no really goals to keep playing. Is this because it is early access? Otherwise fantastic game
If you have to ask, then maybe you should visit their website or steam page. It's an Early Access game, of course the end-game isn't finished yet. There's still some early game stuff they haven't polished/finished yet.
And in a settlement management game, there's ALWAYS a goal to keep playing. What's the goal, you ask? To see how long you can keep your settlement going. Will you die to famine? Will you die to gross mismanagement of resources? Or will your town flourish to the ends of the map?
People like you are stupid. Calling any part of an Early Access game "dead" is stupid. It's Early Access. You're getting to play the game and contribute to its development.
@@dyanosis holly molly what an attitude. someone needs a chill pill. reread my post again cuz it SEEMS you didnt get it...or go back to school
@Dyanosis, I get your answer. It's really logical and even accurate, except for calling the other person stupid. This is just my opinion, I think that being respectful is always a good principle.
