As a scholar of Islamic history, it is well known that Umar had a tense relationship with Khalid, his cousin, because of Khalid's conduct and behaviour. Khalid was, no doubt, a military genius. As this story also shows, he tried to impersonate Umar - another thing the Khalifa would never accept. That is why Khalid was "retired" and removed from his leadership role. As a scholar of Islamic history, it is well known that Umar had a tense relationship with Khalid, his cousin, because of Khalid's conduct and behaviour.
Khalid was, no doubt, a military genius. But he didn't always follow the rules of war as clearly set out by Islam.
There are numerous examples of this. As this story also shows, he tried to impersonate Umar - another thing the Khalifa would never accept.
That is why Khalid was "retired" and removed from his leadership role. That is the real reason and its is very well documented in Islamic history.
What you claim is ahistorical and a fantasy, in affairs to tell you. Read the original works of Islamic history and not the myths being made up by current "sheikhs" that like to paint everything in some fantasy utopian light.
In time of war, when you have thousands of people depending on you, your goal is to protect their lives, so if it takes making decisions with caliphs permission so be it. You are nobody to judge such people. They have done what you and I cant do in centuries.
They may have tense relation but even then Hazrat Umar (R.A) would never let his personal view cloud his judgement.
I agree what you are saying might be true but then the other story might also, bcoz history contains both narratives. So you outrightly saying that only your side of story is true is itself boastful and irresponsible.
Would take a trap house for 100$ now or a mansion for the same price but after some time(your life time) that’s what we wanted back then not your palaces😉
