this song very fit for encyclopedia, it gets the vibe of glory and sorrow at the same time, which is the main theme of three kingdoms lore and we all know that not wu, shu, or even wei that started new dynasty, it's jin
I remember reading Lu Bus bio while listening to this. "Among Men Lu Bu, Among horses Red Hare it was said Red Hare could gallop 10000 leagues and Lubu burned his fabled spear......."
Had the PS2 version of this game; still had a lot fun playing this game coop with my family but the disc got scratched for its last time RIP Hope you guys take care your copies well.
@@royjack5311 no. That's true he was dead. The trap that you said is his dead. I mean, the troops used Zhuge Liang's death to trick Sima Yi. He thought Zhuge Liang was still alive, so it's threatened Sima Yi himself. You may need to read the story more if you curious.
@Michaelov12 Shu would have demolished Wei at Wu Zhang plains if it weren't for Liu Bei's huge mistake which was the battle of Yi Ling. That battle sealed the fate of Shu pretty much. Liu Bei lost all of his elite troops, and his best Naval commanders at Yi Ling. Shu's military was not as strong from then on. If Liu Bei had waited and kept the alliance, the three kingdoms period would have had a different outcome, with Wu and Shu possibly uniting to rebuild the Han Dynasty.
A bit late but that's not accurate. Guan Yu sealed Shu's fate when he attacked Fan Castle and got Jing province stolen from underneath him. His arrogance is the reason he lost Jing.
dude i remember reading the whole history of it and it kinda made me upset cause out of the 3 kingdoms, wei won. but then wei got taken over by something else. so that made it a little better. so sad that everyone just started dying though.
pretty late but overall depressing that the later kingdom doesn't even last that long and up until the Tang Dynasty finally united China given the previous kingdoms not lasting quite as long (one could argue the Sui Dynasty counts)
@@dragonbones3885 Belated response, but even after Tang weak ministers and a lot of internal strife caused the Tang to disintegrate and various dynasties eventually rose and fell. To be fair to some of them they're quite old. Let's see. SHU Zhao Yun: Old Age Ma Chao: Illness before the Northern Campaign Huang Zhong: Wounded at Yiling, died of his wounds despite being rescued by Zhang Bao. I won't mention Guan Yu and Zhang Fei as we already know how they were killed. WEI Zhang Liao: Wounded while rescuing Cao Pi during a failed invasion of Wu. Died to his wounds as well Zhang He: Ambushed by Shu and turned into a pincushion. Xu Huang: Killed while trying to suppress Meng Da's rebellion. Yu Jin: His name was blemished by Cao Pi after Fan Castle and died, possibly due to suicide. Yue Jin: Unknown, possibly illness.
@hunter54able The thing is, there are places all around that tell us these Heroes existed, the story of the three kindoms is important to the Chinese, the History of the three kingdoms was probably written down, i don't think such a thing could have been made up :)
+Nyjah Butler Dont blame the video game, you have to first blame the author of Romance of the Three Kingdom Novel. He added many stuff to suit the novel then the video game took place.
Nyjah Butler The fictional characters were taken from the novels and it's not something that Koei created from their minds. They are trying their best to fit the characters in the story even if they were fictional. Making their existence kinda accurate when we come to the hypothetical aspect if they weren't there from the first place
Yes and no, Many of the stories in the game and in the romance of the three kingdoms novels are sadly false. The official records of the three kingdoms era were written by a shu historian so he embellished the Shu Kingdom the most, Ill give you some examples: In the three kingdom stories the mightiest of all warriors was Guan yu there was no way someone could beat him, Zhang fei was not a fearsome warrior, he was a general very well groomed and his daughter was extremely beautiful, and Lu Bu he was nothing special sadly, he once took a general in a fight and that was it, he was a very good tactic retreating general though.
woooo take it easy man, you will get a heart attack. Well since this is part of the game and everyone is pretty much talking about the game, I believe they will be more familiar with the names of the game. If this was a video of ancient history I think it wouldnt be appropiate to use such name :P. Now take it easy man you sound as cranky as my grandpa ffs
Since this is Lu Bu we're talking about, i'll just imagine the "?" as it implying that he just came into existance by shooting out of the abyss that made him.
@hunter54able And the fact that there ARE INDEED WRITTEN 3K historical records, which is what you seem to not realise. Liu Bei did want peace to the land, Cao Cao was an ambitious lord who opposed both Wu and Shu, so butt out. The 3K did exist. Cao Cao, Liu Bei ad Sun Quan all existed, Lu Bu WAS a fierce warrior, but historically he was a ALLY of Liu Bei and Cao Cao, he was one of the lords who helped defeat Yuan Shu, so yes, they did all exist.
@hunter54able Historically, before Yi Ling, it was Shu. Then after, it was Wei. Then after the fall of Shu in 263, it was the Jin. And Liu Bei didn't die at Yi Ling. He died a year later at Baidicheng from Dysentery, a common disease at that time.
@hunter54able the good thing about history is: It has happened, so it really doesn't matter what we think. Believe it or otherwise it's your choice (personally I don't think Lincon is gay -_-) I believe in the three kingdom, because its impact on chinese culture is too little to be made up. But really, it's fine if you think it's all fake :P
Even if the story of the 3 kingdoms is fake, its influence on Chinese culture is very real, and that makes it just as important as any documented historical fact.
Yes. I know. The storybook is a romanticization... Hence the name of the book. I know it was a real thing. I kind of qualified it with "The story of"... Not "history of".
