Looking at the arrowhead right before the guy is sitting in the truck-maybe 3rd one found - look in the dirt behind his hand - can anyone else see that face in the dirt??? If you can I sure would like a still picture of that! I'm probably crazy - but I know I saw a face in that dirt! Thank you guys - these videos brings back lots of memories!
Guys, I had to watch this vid from the past,, again! Awesome finds, hard, determined efforts. & that Cover pt of Zach's is beautifully incredible. Wow!! Hope you guys are well👊
Thanks again! We're doing fine down this way. Holidays coming up , Randy is off for a few days and hopefully Kenneth too. Hopefully we can get back in the woods together.
We do not fill the holes in on this site. Zach's family owns the land and he says leave it. That said on some of our other sites we do fill them in and usually mark it with flagging so we know what has been dug.

Geez, you boys work hard for the money. Weather like that....Id be sitting in the cabin by the fire place with a cup of hot chocolate. You deserve all the great stuff you find.
Ronald Goodrich Well, I'm sure he is now. You can get off this "burial ground" kick. If you knew anything at all about the people that created these objects you would know we are on a camp or village site. If you found a bullet or a knife in the woods would you think it was a modern grave?
I just watched this video again .That red and white candy cane striped looking points looks better and better with each viewing .That's the sign of a quality point.super video keep em coming
Thanks. That is a fantastic point. Usually after a point dries out it changes color a lot but this point still looks great. It does't look as good dry as it does wet but it is still impressive and Zach can always add a little water.
At 18:15 Kenneth found an arrowhead. Some thought it was fire pock holes, if I am saying that right, some said it is cortex or the way the rock was when it was made into an arrow head. How do you tell the difference? Thanks
To be honest sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. Fire pop will leave sharper crisper edges and natural dimples usually have smoother edges and contain cortex. After looking at this one closer we're pretty sure it was fire popped.
Thanks for the question. We first look for a water source then look for high flat/level ground just out of the flood plain. That's what the needed/wanted for a living area.
Thanks for the question. I'm going to refer you to another video of how the sites are found. I think it will explain it better. Thanks again. ua-cam.com/video/7X-QuB5SGew/v-deo.html
The Zack Show! Wow!!!!! Zack thanks the Lord for his finds. He must pray each time he goes out to hunt. Great finds, one and all! Kenneth did well too.

It's hard to put a price on a point like this. It all boils down to what someone is willing to pay and what the owner is willing to take. if it was mine the amount would have to be "life changing".
I'm pretty sure it is a piece of heat treated Mississippi Citronelle gravel chert. That stuff has so many different colors and once it is heat treated it gets even better. This is a very odd piece though.

Just getting started hunting. I'm in Simpson county, ms. What's the best way to find spots to dig? Just pick a random patch of woods, probe, n dig if you hit something? There's got to be some kind of thought process in picking a spot. Thanks for any info you could provide.
Thanks for the question. While it appears random it really isn't. First thing these people needed was a water source then they need high ground just out of the flood plain close to that water and last they wanted it to be level with plenty of room. So look for high level ground just out of the flood plain close to a water source. Then you can dig random holes looking for chips and flakes. Once you find those then you just keep digging.
This hunt reminds me of being on the lake in a boat crappie fishing and the guy in front is sitting on the brush top catching all the fish! Zach was sitting in a honey hole! Great stuff as always!
Give us some history on what was going on when these points were made. Some of them had to be rejected and were just thrown away like everyone in the tribe was sitting around the fire making spear points and arrow heads?
Thanks for the great question. What we have to realize is these points were tools, strictly utilitarian. They were things they needed to survive. They didn't place the value on them that we do. Many of what we find are used up knives. They would have to reflake the edges to resharpen the blade and this eventually used up all of knife so it was discarded. As for the dart points and arrowheads (the true arrowheads, the very small ones) were misplaced or left behind when they moved. Also a stone tool is forever. It may be broken but it is here for the duration. So every stone tool that was ever made is out there somewhere waiting to be found.

Thanks for the question. There are several references that are useful for identifying points, the internet is one. This video should help. ua-cam.com/video/0YqDLkw7zEQ/v-deo.html
Awesome...that's some fine artifacts. I noticed one thing...Spike I didn't see you finding anything lol that's usually how my digs end. Zack and Kenneth had great days Congratulations brother
lol So you noticed that too huh Scott. It was painfully obvious to me. I have only found points in one out of the four trips we made so far this year but it's gonna get better. I feel it. Thanks again and GL&HH my friend.
Another great video guys! Loved the one with the red stripes that Zack attack found..probably the prettiest point I've seen so far this year.. but that point Kenneth found was freaking sweet too! Thanks for sharing friends. HH
Thanks. When we no longer get excited then i may be time to quit. The excitement and rush of seeing that artifact for the first time is what it's all about. Thanks again and GL&HH.
Amazing finds!!! I really liked the one with the red!!! And yes I like stripes!! Hahahahahha.... Would you be willing to tell me how you determine a location to dig? I mean do you just randomly pick a spot or what exactly do you do? Thank you for all the great vids!!
Thanks for watching and for the question. Here are some suggestions on how to find the sites. It is by no means fool proof as we can attest to lately. lol Look for high ground just out of the floodplain if not plowed checked for gullies or washes with bare ground. Once you find bare ground look for debitage (chips or flakes of broken flint or chert). If this stuff is present you are on a site. If you find larger worked pieces that is even more proof. Dig some test holes if you can to see if you can find more evidence. If it is there then the hard work starts. Good luck! Thanks again.
So the flakes should be on top of the ground in the bare spots? If thats the case how do the points get so far buried? I ask because I am mainly a river hunter and of coarse that seems alot easier. However I am up for the hard work. Thanks for your reply
There may be points on top of the ground too. You have to take into consideration the ratio of finished artifacts to dibitage. You figure there were several hundred to several thousands of pieces chipped off before one artifact was made so obviously there will be many more of them and therefore much easier to find. They are like the bread crumbs that lead you to the point.
I love the points you are finding, it would be nice to hear a story behind who they were and what they hunted to survive at that time, how old the site is when they lived there, From what i see you pull out of different depths of dirt maybe there could have been two different times that spot was occupied. Was the flint natural to the area was it a trade item, all of that is probably lost information now. To bad,,,for us who would like to hear that kind of thing. Good luck finding more for your personal collection.
This site is a multicultural site. There have been points found that range from the protohistoric period to the transitional Paleo/Archaic period. Most of the material is either gravel chert or Tallahatta quartzite which is all local. You are correct. Much of the information is lost. We know very little of these people.
Hey guys at the beginnin of one your videos spike opened a package containin 2 hardstond artifacts and you showed a screenshot of a video and i cant remember the name of the video..if you could please provide me with the name of the video id be much appreciative..gl@hh

Great to see you out in the woods and back at it. Nice nap Spike got! 😉 no need to get soaked to the bone! Glad Kenneth could join you! The glamour shots were on point as usual! ❤️ from Michigan!
Thanks for the great comment. The lightning got too close for comfort for me lol. Kenneth's first point was actually his first ever "dug" point. We should have highlighted that more. You only get to have a "first" once. Thanks again and GL&HH.
The points being made by a person are like pictures being drawn by an artist.... if you not a good artist then the points you have in your arson on your instruments to hunt not the best... Zach has a cache of points.... compare the points to each other and they will fit to a set of rocks the have been found together.... and good point maker... who knows if he did not make points for other hunters also.....
Louisiana more like Hollywood .did any of u guys have stunt doubls lol u did pick some nice once out of ur collection to put back in the dirt for this movie u guys are killer #fakes
Oh man! That was an awesome video for sure. I've never seen this amount of points coming out of one location before. Could this have been an Indian encampment? What's your opinion for the large amount of points coming out of this area? Thanks for posting another winning video. I've really enjoyed watching everyone finding those relics. They are treasures for sure. Stan
Thanks for the great comment. You are absolutely correct. This spot was used off and on over many thousands of years by several different cultures. If a location was good for one group of people you can be sure it was good for others too. That is why so many of our big cities are built on the same sites as ancient native American villages.
Heartbreaker Relics; Thank you for your fast reply. I remember how exciting it was to find whole and partial points up in the N/E part of California while deer hunting. It really got the heart pumping. Thanks again. Stan
There is no bait and switch. We would never do that. It's the point at 11:24 ua-cam.com/video/M5RQbk9Gc8Y/v-deo.html We just didn't have a good cleanup picture of it at the teime and to be honest we didn't know how beautiful it was until we started washing everything for the glamour shots. Sorry for the confusion.
I’m admitting that I’m a full blown addict, and if I don’t get my fix of heartbreaker relics I go in to severe withdrawals. There is no antidote. Awesome video, I really like the intro the filming is top notch....those points were sure pretty😍❤️😍 you know I was just wondering if any of you have ever found native children’s artifacts such as play things?
Thanks for the great comment and compliment. It's comments like this that really keep us motivated. Always great to hear from you. The only thing we can say we have found that may be related to children would be the game balls, two of which we have on video. We are convinced that some of the crude artifacts we find were made (or attempted to be made by children). We're pretty sure they started knapping at young age. Thanks again and GL&HH.

Thanks for the question. There are several references that are useful for identifying points, the internet is one. This video should help.

Awesome...that's some fine artifacts. I noticed one thing...Spike I didn't see you finding anything lol that's usually how my digs end.
Zack and Kenneth had great days
Congratulations brother
lol So you noticed that too huh Scott. It was painfully obvious to me. I have only found points in one out of the four trips we made so far this year but it's gonna get better. I feel it. Thanks again and GL&HH my friend.
It will get better I have no doubt
Of course, what I'm feeling may just be gas lol.
Another great video guys! Loved the one with the red stripes that Zack attack found..probably the prettiest point I've seen so far this year.. but that point Kenneth found was freaking sweet too! Thanks for sharing friends. HH
Thanks and we agree on both points. The "barber pole" point is one of the prettiest we have ever seen. GL&HH
Well I guess I won't have to watch the next PBR vid ... I'm socked in snow ice wind rain cycle.. at least yer out finding. Good luck out there
No man, they didn't film this hunt. Only us. Thanks and GL&HH.
Enjoy yall's excitement !
Thanks. When we no longer get excited then i may be time to quit. The excitement and rush of seeing that artifact for the first time is what it's all about. Thanks again and GL&HH.
at first i wasn't gonna watch but then i'm glad i did, exciting find after find !
We are glad you decided to watch. Check out some of our other videos. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely beautiful finds 👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻
Thanks and thanks for watching and for the comment.
It is by no means fool proof as we can attest to lately. lol
Look for high ground just out of the floodplain if not plowed checked for gullies or washes with bare ground.
Just n amazing video fellows. Thanks for the awesome show again your KILLING IT! 2018 is gonna be hard to beat!
Thanks Calvin. Always a pleasure to hear from you. 2018 is gonna be hard to beat for ZACH! lol
Hey guys at the beginnin of one your videos spike opened a package containin 2 hardstond artifacts and you showed a screenshot of a video and i cant remember the name of the video..if you could please provide me with the name of the video id be much appreciative..gl@hh
Thanks for watching and for the question. There were two videos with hardstone gift packages. I have included the links below.ua-cam.com/video/RomuChFWzZY/v-deo.html

Love the videos you guys make. Question.: On your hunts in Louisiana have either of you found a San Patrice Kisatchie or the Colbert Dalton?
Thanks. The answer is yes. I have a couple San Patrices. It's been a whole though.
Amazing dig, how did u determine to start digging this particular spot? Did u find cooking rocks? Certain artifacts? Very curious and ty!
Thanks. We dig where we find debitage and/or artifacts on the surface.
Thanks for watching and for the great comment.
Louisiana more like Hollywood .did any of u guys have stunt doubls lol u did pick some nice once out of ur collection to put back in the dirt for this movie u guys are killer #fakes

Look at all the comments on this video and it appears you are in a very small minority my friend.
Stan
So pissed off that you guys pulled a bait n switch on your cover shot. That's f#@k'n lame, very lame...
