Well fellas, I hate I missed it!!!! First time in a long time a whole weekend went by that I wasn’t on the ridge digging!! But it thrills me that you 2 got to come back and score some great finds!! And Zach of course, with his horseshoe, is going to score at least one killer!! Lol!! But even a blind person could see how much fun you guys had and how the fellowship just makes a great day of artifact hunting even better!! We hope you guys realize how much we’ve enjoyed hunting, fellowshipping, and getting to know y’all!! Sharing these adventures with friends is priceless and we look forward to many more in the future!! As always fellas, fantastic work on the glamour shots and the video!! Your handy work never disappoints!!! See ya’ll Sunday!!!!
Thank you Mike and we did miss you too. I know the video might not have shown it but we did. You are absolutely right. Sharing a hobby with someone that has as much passion for it as we have is what it's all about and yall certainly have the passion and a killer ridge too lol. I am thrilled to know yall are enjoying hunting together as much as we are. I'm like Nathan. I could just come and sit around and talk and have a blast but having a chance to hunt and find stuff with yall is icing on the cake. I get excited every time someone pulls one out of the ground. Thanks again Mike and we'll see you Sunday!

Well..would you just look at that...another awesome video from you guys! Great hunt and artifacts..mikes gonna be mad y'all was in his hole!! Thanks for sharing friends, HH
Have you thought about probing deeper I mean you’ve already got a hole you’re standing in so maybe see if there’s anything deeper? Great generosity given them awesome points. Evening was much more better! I want to say again I’m loving how you take the time to display them points in nature. Leaves, logs, flowers, grass everywhere....
Thanks Calvin. We and they, the PBR boys, have dug a little deeper. I'd say down to about 4 or 4 1/2 feet. We found stuff down to about 4 feet but it slacked up after that. Yep, the glamour shots of the points is working out great for us.Thanks again and GL&HH.
Thanks for watching and for the question. I'll try to give you a few tips: 1. Look for high ground just out of the floodplain if not plowed checked for gullies or washes with bare ground. Once you find bare ground look for debitage (chips or flakes of broken flint or chert). If this stuff is present you are on a site. If you find larger worked pieces that is even more proof. 2. Look for hard bottom creeks or streams with pockets of gravel or stone. Where there is much gravel look closely for work material (stones that have been flaked). 3. Sift the pockets of gravel through a shaker or sifter taking care to look closely for chips flakes or ultimately tools and points. Here is a couple links to some videos that may help. ua-cam.com/video/xDxazJogjgQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/zXT1RPSAyYI/v-deo.html Hope this helps. GL&HH
Hey y'all i love every minute of yalls videos I'm from Alabama around my cheetahs highest mountain in Alabama send me some pointers on how to tell about what era or the age of some of the artifacts y'all find Charlie Calhoun county ala
As I sit here and watch your video. I started to wonder. Do you guys keep the artifacts from that site separate from your other sites? And is Zach keeping any record of the area? Thanks as always for the video. Great stuff
Thanks for the question. It is not just a "random" spot. We are digging where we know there is site and we know this from the debitage and artifacts we have found in the past. We have done this in Louisiana and the PineBeltRelics guys have done that on this site. We were picking up points in a pasture and started digging on the edge of it and they started with a small food plot where they had found points. If you find the artifacts of the surface, and chips and flakes are artifacts, then dig some test holes until you find high concentrations of material. Good luck and happy hunting and I hope this helps. Spike
I had been wondering how you decided where to dig. I am over in Petal and hunt mainly Perry Co, I have not dug any yet but have been having a good bit of surface luck in cut overs and plowed fields.
Had a question for you guys. I have a creek location where in a 10ft area i have sifted 3 small points not a couple inches deep, i have walked this creek and only found 1 other small spear point way up stream. I have found no evidence of tools at all. The walls where the small points fell has corn fields on both sides of it. I have walked these cornfields and found not even a flake of flint. My question to you guys since there is no evidence of tools is it reasonable to assume no campsite. And is it also reasonable to assume that these points were several feet under the corn field walls. The points were made from rose quartz and flint. From who i have talked with they were older than woodland era around 5-7k years old. I need to know if it would be wise to dig into the walls a bit
Thanks for the question. Unless you have an indication there is a site where you are digging IMO you would be wasting your time. In some of our creeks we find way more points than tools. We haven't figured out why. We don't know where the sites are but they have got to be there somewhere.
I sure will cause id like to watch the video on the screenshot..i do remember yall said the guy who posted it on his Facebook page is from ohio..the hardstone artifacts he sent y'all was a celt and a 3/4 grooved axe..if that helps..thanks for replying
Yeah, those were the two links I posted earlier. The guy is from Mississippi but some of the hardstone was from Ohio and it wasn't a screenshot of a video it was a screenshot of his Facebook page, America Outdoors, Past and Present. This is the links to out two videos where we referenced his page and thanked him for his generosity. ua-cam.com/video/RomuChFWzZY/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/MjVaECmf4zs/v-deo.html
Hey guys the particular video i was inquiring about..on the screenshot had a indians face on it..spike said it was one of his favorite videos..ive been tryin to find it since i got off work but no luck..can ya help me out?
Hey guys, new to your channel, just wondering. Could you do a short video on finding hotspots in creeks? I live near Jacksonville FL and I found a great creek with awesome limestone and clay tributaries. I've got many questions if you don't mind answering. I've found many teeth, mouth plates, and even k-9 teeth from saber tooth cats. I would be willing to share any info I have.
Thanks for watching and for the question. I just made myself a note to remind us to do a spot on finding the best places to dig in the creeks. As soon as the water goes down in the creeks and it warms up a little we will do it. We should already have a video with some information in it but I can remember it right now. Thanks again and GL&HH.
Heartbreaker Relics thanks you guys are awesome, and if you're ever near Middleburg FL let me know, I'll be glad to show you some nice areas, many are on private property and I've gotten written permission from the owners. It's a great area and easily traversed ( mostly).
Also I'm planning a trip to jxr mine in g.a. next month. It would be great to see you guys there it's right outside of augusta, and you keep what you find. I've never been, but it looks really awesome for all kinds of amethyst.
I hate to sound ignorant but how does this work from the beginning? I mean it cant be some random patch of woods that you picked and started to excavate right? How do you know where to find a spot to start digging in the first place. I know other guys have told me that anywhere near water is where Native Americans lived but still. I see videos of guys troweling through inches of soil and I just cant imagine I doing the same would ever find anything unless I was in a known spot.
If you find the signs, debitage and tools, you know you are in the right spot. It's only a matter of digging test holes until you zero in on the best spot. Here are some tips. Hope it helps. 1. I used to hunt for arrowheads when I was a kid with my uncle and cousin...I'd love to go again but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions?

Great video
Thanks Zach! We appreciate it!
I believe Zach could find a Clovis in the Walmart parking lot!
I believe you're right lol.
As I sit here and watch your video. I started to wonder. Do you guys keep the artifacts from that site separate from your other sites? And is Zach keeping any record of the area? Thanks as always for the video. Great stuff
Thanks foe the question. I label all my artifacts with the site they were found. I can't speak for the other guys.
Spike
Randy-Spike, when y'all are digging in the woods is it just a " random" spot or what?

Mike Driggers You're welcome and I'm working on one as we speak.
I had been wondering how you decided where to dig. I am over in Petal and hunt mainly Perry Co, I have not dug any yet but have been having a good bit of surface luck in cut overs and plowed fields.
If you're finding plenty on the surface there is no need to dig.

With fossiling in SW Florida I find the clay layer and I'm good to go. As for arrowheads I have no clue how to put myself in the right place.
