Thanks Paul, that's very kind of you.... I don't feel like a star.... more like a bloody idiot at times! Pleased you enjoyed the video. All the best, Con
Out of the vast myriad of information (and misinformation) regarding male perfumes, this video shines as one of the best resources I have encountered. It took me forever to find reputable sources for the information which this video explained in six and a half minutes. Thank you.
How does one apply scents that come in a regular bottle. I have always just put the opening against my skin on a wrist, put some on it, lightly rub my wrists together, then lightly rubbed them against the sides of my neck. Do I need to get some spray bottles?
If you can get bottles with a spray cap, that would certainly help with the even distribution of the fragrance. I guess it really depends on the concentration of aromatic compounds in the particular scent. After shaves and colognes typically have lower amounts of aromatic compounds and oils and usually are fine to just splash or dab on. I don't really like to transfer fragrances into other bottles, but I guess it's a personal choice. Thanks for your feed back iam13islucky, it's much appreciated. All the best, Con
Your videos are informative and very professionally put together. You are the best. There is one bit of (mis)information that bothers me. In several videos, you talked about pores as if they open and close. That's an old wife myth perpetuated by uneducated sale people. Ask any competent dermatologist : pores are not sphincters. Aftershaves, soaps and other cosmetics don't open or close pores. Pores can be clogged up with dirt and oils. Cleansing products make your skin... clean. That's all there is to it. Keep up the great work. I am impatiently waiting for your next video.
You are absolutely right Nath Krishmaratalata, and sadly it has crept into our vocabulary (including mine) when we speak of cleansing and loosening debris and sebum. It is an fact an erroneous metaphor! What does happen though is that warm water can help loosen the sebum that builds up inside the pores. Once that sebum gets cleared out, pores "appear" smaller. Thanks for your feedback! Now.... off to loosen some muck from my pores!!! ;) All the best, Con
Mixing scents......I'm a frag head, owning 400+ frags, and I mix and layer scents frequently. You just have to know what you do, know each fragrance by itself, and then mix. Sometimes the mix is awful. Sometimes great. Repeat mixing the great mixes. That's it. Cheers, Claus
I have a few friends that mix frags and seem to get the best out of them. I absolutely hopeless at mixing frags and tend to stay well clear of mixing. Thanks for your feedback Claus! All the best, Con
