- This long awaited Full Option Roller certainly takes a good beating...Lol. Here's my first run thoughts adjusting to the LSD diffs and new power setup. Definitely had a Blast with this new Extreme Bash option from ARRMA. Props to them for all the attention to detail and listening to basher feedback. Shout out to M2C Racing and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.
Here's my maiden EXB run plus some mixed footage at different spots. I did find my steering pivot balls came loose and were missing threadlock 😝. Thought I was just driving like crap until I noticed 🤣. Hoping to do the Firma 8s ESC firmware update as there's a slight delay with my power feed at the moment. Might just swap in a Max8. LOVE this new rig 😍. Props again to ARRMA for the progression. 🍻😎💪👊👊

@@paulclancy2404 I've had great luck with the Max8 and Hexfly Hex6. Doesn't hurt to have 160A and bigger capacitors, but the 150A Max8 works great too and saves some gram weight. 😎💪👊👊

Amazing first sesh with the EXB Brother Rich!😱You're right, the diffs did take getting used to but afterwards I like the overall handling!😍Once tuned and shimmed they will be stellar! I'll be honest, I have to either run the Firma programming update or swap ESCs. Definitely don't have 100% confidence with the power feed 😝. Can't distinguish the diff action from the throttle inputs as I'm getting a slight delay. Corrections and control feel a bit off like I'm running with the STX2 or something 🤣🤣. Just happy to get some bash time in lately despite super hot and windy conditions. Looking forward to getting back out for some harder bashing. Killing it brother Rich. New EXB is a beast and a great value for sure! Great starting point for any hard basher.... Maybe some small tweeks for that "Insane" basher level, I think Eric already tweeked the chassis, so M2C is there still to fill the gaps for Hyper Extreme bashing, but what a starting point Arrma has now given us!! 😎

Wow Arrma, what a great Car and what a pretty deal too! Just awesome, the car has quite all the Upgrades hard Bashers added to the 6S platform now right out of the Box. EPIC first dirt test brother Rich. I'm super impressed with what I'm seeing on this EXB edition of the Kraton brother. It's definitely on my shopping list LOL 😂🤣. Arrma nailed it with all Key upgrades and paying close attention to the details. Love the body color scheme. She's definitely looking like on steroids compare to the RTR version. Or does it require a mod? Trying to figure that out as I'm looking into putting a futaba radio in it so that delay with the stx2 stops and I can use one radio for the Kraton v4 and Notorious! My Kraton is now an outcast, 8s capable 1600kv with 21t pinion put it's pure insane in the air with backflips MTs on so I'm go to reduce pinion to 18t I think maybe the sweet spot. 21t pinion it will almost do a standing double backflip, too farce and that's on 6s 🤣
My diffs are still rock solid thanks to you although those damn thin pins keep snapping. I'm trying to get hold of titanium rod but the don't do 2.25mm anywhere on the net. Got titanium pins in the wheel hex's those, they're not breaking lol.

I can't wait to know how it holds up. I've been looking at the M2C route and this new line of upgrade parts pop up. It's be nice to be free of that bulkhead to bulkhead brace though but this might be ok.
She's holding up very well after several bashes 👀. I just tried 2 bashes without the tower brace and she did great overall, but the front center driveshaft bent after doing some big ramp launches 😱. I honestly think it's safer to run the tower brace with a 3mm 7075 chassis. M2C Goliath Series 4mm is a different story. Really only need quality chassis braces and your center driveline is golden 😍😎💪👊👊

Thanks Johnny 🤗!!!! It's best to use a quality Butane. Think I'm using MagTorch from Home Depot 🤔. The flame adjusts easily. There's a small safety tab you have to pull downward just under the rear trigger. Great torch for the price. 😎💪👊👊

To be fair, if there isn’t some sort of damage after that run I will be shocked, those were some massive hits that thing took and still kept going.
I had hardware come loose but that's typical of all my highly upgraded rigs too. These rigs all have physical limitations of course and the stresses they undergo is insane 👀. So far I'm very impressed with this roller. 🍻😎💪👊👊

The only thing I don't like is the body but just my opinion. An old truck body like the Notorious would look sick. But anyways the body will probably only last me 4-5 outings...hahahaha. Great review and bash...looks like I'm getting another RC.😍🤙🏼

Thanks so much Nick 🤗!!!! I do like the new LSD diffs 👍. They tighten up on throttle and open up off the trigger. The 100k center feels more like 300-500k 👀. Definitely helps with ballooning. No way will this hurt aftermarket guys 😍. There's always demand for quality parts, especially higher end, CNC machined 7075 T6. I prefer to build up my own rigs, but this roller is a fantastic option regardless 😍. Tons of innovation and the beefier gears are a long awaited gift 😱. Props to ARRMA for delivering the goods. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Besides the electronics.....IS EVERYTHING STOCK ON THIS EXB?how about difs?DID YOU Modify check or shim the difs before this run?
Yes. Only added an RPM rear skid plate and vented my tires like always 👍. I waited a bit to open and check my diff fluids and went through most of the hardware. Just remember, it's not just what a truck can handle in one outing that makes it truly durable from my viewpoint. That takes months of driving (with proper maintenance) to truly pass judgement on🍻😎💪👊👊

Really want to get a Kraton exb but it just seems to have too many issues. First the diff's now the wheel hex being so thin it grinds out the wheel hex. Even though the hex could be made much thicker and fill the full depth of the wheel centre.
Been running those wheels since the V4 came out on bigger power with zero issues. The rear open diff issue got sorted by ARRMA via a new planetary spacer. People bitch about all kinds of stuff on the Forums. Just be careful which sources you give merit to. Lots of inaccurate subjective opinions out there by people that might not have much experience or mechanical skills/know how. You have to try and know yourself at the end of the day or go with concrete advice from knowledgeable sources. Sadly, that's not always the case with even some hobby shop staffers. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Just been watching Earle Morehead and RC guy garage both saying they have the wheel issue. He pointed out that it might not have surfaced before now because everyone from the first batch have been waiting for new rear diff to arrive. It just seems that arrma are having some minor QC issues that cause massive issues for the user. The wheel hex looks far thinner than it needs be though and it's easy to see why it might cause problems in certain use cases
@@51im yeah I don't know Brother 🤔. Just know I've never had an issue with them. I have seen bad batches of plastic before with arms that break super easy....etc... so anything is possible. I've beat the living crap out of mine 😂

@@51im I flip flop between both wheels. The Backflips are heavier. They have more rubber with bigger lugs.

What’s kinda high? You are getting 7075 T6 chassis, shock towers and braces. Upgraded diffs, a-arms and bumper. If it was a standard RTR roller then yes it would be high but considering all the changes it’s actually a steal.
Can you do a video about the diffs a closer look and the upgraded part comparison?

Thanks Jason 🤗!!!! The chassis does great with the aluminum supports and tower brace 👍. At 3mm, the tower brace is probably necessary to keep the center driveline straight with harder bashing anyways. That's the biggest difference between 3 & 4mm 7075 T6 like the M2C Goliath Series 💪. The LSD diffs don't require heavier fluids like standard open ones. Takes a minute to get the feel, but drives awesome 😍🍻😎💪👊👊

Absolutely an amazing video. I’ve just Ordered myself an Exb, and I’m not sure what motor combo to put in it. I was thinking either a Hobbywing Max 8 with a 4274 2200kv motor or a Hobbywing Max 6 with a 4985 1650kv motor. What would you say would be better please?
