My god that is a sick vid man. You have got to have the Arrma marketing guys scratching their heads trying to make something better than this. They might as well just give up. If I could find anything to change, it might be to include some of the actual audio from the RC, but that is how hard I had to stretch to find anything at all to critique. The lipo ejection at the end was epic too. I think I’m gonna watch this on repeat all day 😍

I actually thought about it, but the majority of my clips are shot it slow motion and the camera doesn't record audio in this mode. But I'm planning to upgrade my camera at some point which will be not cheap :D. Really appreciate your input, have a great day😊👊🏻
@@KiTrisExtremeRc I was going to say the same. I have my B.F.A. in Photography and would gladly lend you some equipment, and bring some already extreme Arrmas to make another video. The only crit I had was what immediately tipped off this from a "professional" video🙄, was the dust on the product in the opening montages. Dust is your worst enemy as a product photographer. Other than that the quick blended layer crossdisolve overlay of the Kraton name was👏😍
Haha I couldn't agree more with the dust thing, I wiped it a few hours before the shoot but these cars when they come right out of the factory still have some grease and stuff on them, so it's almost impossible to get rid of the dust unless you would clean the whole car with some stuff that helps against the dust, but I'm no expert in this area :D

Congrats on finally getting Arrma to give you some love. You have created a video they could only dream of making. Seriously, if they don't hire you for every future release video after this, I don't know what they are thinking. Did you seriously make that intro piece? It was mind-blowing! So professional! And of course the running video is epic. This video was so amazing that I'm thinking about buying one and transferring my Talion electronics over to it, even though I definitely don't need it!

Yeah haha I made it :D, actually the raw clips didn't look that great but with some minor tweaks and effects this is what I came up with. The first 48 seconds took me like 5 days I think 😅
I haven't driven the truck enough to give you a comprehensive feedback, but so far this truck has been an absolute beast. The price point without electronics is quite a bit but if you already have some electronics to throw in, it's almost a no brainer. This is probably the toughest truck out of the box. But what I can tell you. Keep an eye on the temps. This truck is a little bit heavier and has bigger diffs therefore it will run hotter than a stock Talion I think.
@@KiTrisExtremeRc I produce (very inferior) videos for my computer product reviews, so I know how long it can take to make something simple looking on video. I am not surprised that the first 48 seconds took you five days. That's why you should get paid for it! Seriously, you work video magic! At least Arrma sent the new Kraton early enough for you to actually do it! And you also know your RC stuff too - thanks for mentioning the weight and the bigger diffs leading to higher temps. I hope Arrma provides some guidance on the proper Kv to run in this system.
By the way, one video editing question: when you do the stop-motion switch from roller to fully-built, you were able to keep the truck in exactly the same location in the frame (although I noticed the tires moved!). Obviously you had to move the truck to do that whole installation, so how did you get it back in the exact same spot? Do you mark the table with tape, or do you actually shift the video to compensate for the truck being in a slightly different position? I would love to emulate this trick for an empty computer case to a fully-built computer.
To be fair though I'm definitely not the fastest editor out there but the more you rush it the worse the video gets usually.
I don't make it for the money, I mean it's nice when something comes around here and there so I can improve my equipment. But I never make my videos with the intention to make money of them, as long as I can perform this hobby without it costing me too much, then that's fine. Therefore it's a great help that HH/Arrma were sending me this car free of charge, because then I can use that money on video equipment.
I don't own the normal version of the Kraton or any of the other 6s offroad truck, just the Infraction, therefore I can't say how it would run compared to the normal Kraton but I'm pretty sure it would run slightly cooler. For the video shoot I had a Max6 and the HW 2200kv in there, and it run quite hot for a 15t. It was totally fine but it was a video shoot so usually you make short shot and than do something else, so it's no continuous driving/bashing like someone would do when they drive there car under normal circumstances.
But I also don't run fans on my motors this would help a lot :) And you will be fine with the stock combo and a 13/14t if you don't bash it full speed for 10 minutes on grass. I think the Max6 is also quite extreme for the little 2200, but I wanted to try it out :D
Haha yeah that was a big fail, I tried to remove the electronics without touching the car too much, but unfortunately something blocked and I had to apply more force than I wanted and somehow I must have moved the car slightly without noticing.
The car was almost in the same spot (95%) therefore I just reframed the shots a little bit so that each one of them fit together the best way.
Empty computer case to full build is next level haha :D But you could give it a try, as I said I just had the electronics in there and removed them (so I did it the other way round as I hoped that this would be the way with less risk of moving it).
For your build I would recommend make the shot of the empty computer, mark the four edges where the pc is sitting on the ground (maybe with some tape) than install everything and place the computer on the same location, but remove the tape before the shot.
The more challenging thing is to get the same exact shot twice. If you have something like a slider that would obviously help a lot. And don't change the light or anything. Do this in the best controlled environment you can get ;)
@@KiTrisExtremeRc This helps so much, thanks for your advice. I'll use tape on the corners and I'll lock my tripod so I don't knock the camera. One of these days I will buy a slider - next piece of equipment to spend money on! Sounds like you know how this goes!!!
Good trick to shoot with the electronics in and then removed, as it's actually easier to disassemble something than to assemble something! Again, you do excellent work, and you really contribute to both the film-making and RC community. Thank you for sharing your hobbies with us!
A tripod is actually a great idea you could do two things then. If you have a zoom lens, just zoom in and out and do the same thing with the assembled case. Or the easy way, just zoom-in in your editing software and then make a smooth zoom out. With this method you'll get the perfect transition :)
Actually I didn't use slider either, it was a small edelkrone robot thingie :D Wiggles quite a bit. But with some stabilisation added in post it came out quite nice.
Yeah I even practiced it and it went flawlessly but as always when it matters somehow the motor mount locked up and it took me like 5 minutes to remove it :D

So for the beauty shots I used the Spektrum electronics (but they're technically not released yet), but I love to play around with different setups, therefore I used a Max6 and the 2200kv motor for the shoot. Currently I have a 1717 in there which seems to be great with the Max6.

Especially for the price and given that's almost a 4 year old camera. But I'm still looking into upgrading at some point, but there's currently not much out there that would be a major upgrade by also being affordable enough.

@@scalebuildersguild The a6500 is a great camera. Sony is going to release the new a7s III probably in the next few weeks so I'm really looking forward to that. And Canon will be also releasing the EOS R5 in three days :D

And that editing in the beginning was so impressive, similar to your Infraction video. Arrma needs to be paying you. I did like how you did this video similar to your Erevo video. I have seen that video so many times that when I heard the music in this video, I kept expecting to see the Erevo jump out. Lol! Very, very, well done! As for the Kraton, this truck is a beast. I didn't had the time to drive it as much as I want but in a few weeks this will change and I'm really looking forward to bash this thing even harder. It's probably more than I will ever need. And I really dig that it is a roller as I'm often putting Castle electronics in my cars. Hope that you'll get yours soon, it's just so much fun. Currently I'm testing a Castle 1717, I really like to test things out at the beginning to see what works best :D

Nein Spaß bei Seite, ich mach jetzt schon seit über 12 Jahren RC und hab mir dann halt irgendwann mal vor langer Zeit ein Traxxas geholt, da es damals halt die go To RC marke war. Habe mir ja auch im Laufe der Jahre sehr viele geholt und bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden mit denen. Letztes Jahr habe ich mich dann dazu entscheiden mir einen Arrma mal zu holen, da viele sehr positiv darüber berichtet haben. Und dem kann ich mich nur anschließen. Also aktuell halt wenn ich selber fahren gehe (abseits von den videos) nehm ich aktuell am liebsten meine Arrmas. Aber das gute ist ja das für jeden was dabei ist und wie bereits erwähnt kann ichs jedem nur empfehlen, ist definitiv anders wie ein Traxxas, vorallem vom handling. Aber man muss fairer weise sagen, das ich den Kraton EXB von Arrma gesendet bekommen habe, da ist meine Meinung jetzt wahrscheinlich nicht ganz subjektiv :D
@@KiTrisExtremeRc ok aber was ist die stabilste Arrma RC Auto also ich habe den Traxxas Summit 1/8 und den Traxxas E-Rrvo 2.0 und ein sehr altes Carson Auto bin aber schon lange nicht mehr gefahren ☺ das ist kaputt gegangen weil ich ein zu starken Motor eingebaut seitdem habe ich nichts getan für den muss ich aber bald habe wieder Lust darauf 😄👌🏼
Also der Kraton EXB jetzt hier von dem Video scheint schon extremst stabil zu sein. Aber ich konnte ihn nicht sehr groß testen bisher. Wenn du mit deinen Autos zufrieden bist bisher dann würde ich auch nichts ändern :)
@@chrisguy9744 habe den normalen kraton V3. Der ist schon echt stabil. Also sollte der neue EXB hier next level stabil sein :D
Man kann die Elektronik günstig bei Jenny's rc oder Ronsrc kaufen. (wenn sie dann mal wieder auf Lager ist...)
@@chrisguy9744 stabilster arrma würde ich sagen sind typhon und senton 6s. (senton 6s gibt's aber leider nicht mehr, nur noch gebraucht :(

Currently they just offer the Kraton but I hope the other truck will get an EXB version soon. It‘s almost a no brainer in my eyes. That‘s just perfect for people who already have some electronics or also those who want the maximum power and would otherwise upgrade their power system anyways. I‘m really hoping for an Mojave EXB although the stock Mojave seems to be one of the toughest cars out there👊🏻
KiTris ExtremeRC ya I love my stock Mojave it is very tough! I recently put a 8S budget system in it, a old Xmaxx 8s esc and a hobbystar 1730kv motor and it’s wild. I had to gear up the motor had so much torque on stock pinion. It’s amazing though. I like my Mojave for flat out desert condition running big open dirt fields is where I run it!
I've been thinking about it.... Arrma, if I buy one, it's because of this.

I've got two questions though. In the last shot (when the battery flew away). 1. Did the battery survive? 2. Did the Kraton get damaged?

The battery is more or less fine, the case cracked a little bit but I glued it where the crack was and now its almost perfect again. The Kraton is fine but one of the battery straps snapped hence why the battery flew out :)

Vielen vielen Dank. Tatsächlich habe ich dieses Video quasi auch für Arrma gedreht, es wurden ein paar von meinen Clips in ihrem launch video verwendet. An sich kann ich mir das natürlich gut vorstellen, allerdings bin ich sehr happy in der Situation wo ich grade bin. Nicht zu viel Druck und ich kann alles so machen wie ichs will :)

Actually it's not the Firma 160 from the Kraton 8s. It's a unreleased Firma ESC and Motor. Basically like the BLX setup, although with telemetry and everything.
But I'm playing around with different power combos currently. At the moment there is a Max6 and 1717 in the EXB. The setup I like most will stay in the car :)
