The recipe in the description box y'all forgot to put condensed milk. Just a heads up incase someone wants to follow it.
Good afternoon. I'm from Trinidad. Did you get my email. I hope you did. I'm looking out for a reply.
Where is your beautiful top from ?😍
Adrienne I wonder how does/did your mom feel going from a small NY apt to her big house? I would love to hear her talk about how it felt for her to move up and not really struggle like before .. This is so inspiring 💛🙏🏾 all love Joanna💕
Adrienne’s so naturally gorgeous 🥰❤️💜
I'm Haitian and we make something similar, we call it KREMAS. We drink it during the holidays but also drink it on special occasions too such as weddings and birthdays. Sooo delicious 😋
YES!! Love me some KREMAS
I just made some Kremas the other day!!!! It’s definitely holiday season! 😋
I am also Haitian.Kremas is BOMB!
Yes!! love my kremas 🇭🇹🇭🇹
Yes we diddd
Adrienne it’s a blessing that you get to have these videos of your mom making things. My mom passed this year and I miss her cooking so much! I learned to do a couple things the way she did but still not the same. Continue to cherish your mom! God bless!
🙏🏾
I love that you embrace your puertorican heritage. but you’re also Ecuadorian and you never talk about that. I’d love to see you embrace that side of your heritage as well!
I’d love to see more of her Ecuadorian side too. I think it’s because she grew up in NY with her Puertorican family (also a very big Puerto Rican community in NY) so that’s what she’s more familiar with. Her dad was the only Ecuadorian from his side that grew up here in the us.
She does talk about it. But yes she does talk about Puerto Rico more I think is because she’s much closer to her mom. She mentioned before that she is now closer to her dad. I would
Love to see more videos with him and her probably making ceviche or other Ecuadorian food. Or Perhaps going down memory lane when she used to go to Ecuador for vacation when she was younger. Maybe a video with Claudette also and her dad talking about their Ecuadorian side. 💛💙♥️
I'm Mexican and when I tell you I started making this maybe like 4 yrs ago and my sister loves it so much that she came to visit me one morning and when I tell you that I made breakfast with coquito and damn we were drunk by 1030 am 🤣🤣🤣 now she just called me to make her some for next week 🤣
Too funny. My sister in law is Mexican and she loves it too. I'm Puertorican and I had not tried it until 10 yrs ago. I missed all those years. Lol
So let’s talk about Mami’s 💅🏾. Her nails are so cute. I’m definitely going to try this recipe.
Your Mom is so, right the the traditional way is the coconut 🥥 but, it's such a hassle. To this day my mom she from Arroyo PR. has been making it every year around with the coconuts 🥥🇺🇸🇵🇷 and I love your mom simple recipe anyway muchísimas bendiciones para ti y tu familia Feliz Navidad 🎅🏼🎄⛄🇺🇸🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
My daughter is 1/2 Puerto Rican and 1/2 African American. Now that she's 20 years old , I'm going to be teaching her how to make our traditional coquito. 🇵🇷 She's so excited to learn , and I'm so excited to bond over our traditions. Much love to my island family ! ❤️
When mamma has the time, it would be amazing to have someone film her making the coquito, using the actual coconut and drawing the milk out of it. I just like to learn authentic methods, as well as 'quick and easy'. Thanks Adrienne and Mamma
Yes! That's why when mami or abuelita make anything it super rico! Because they not doing anything quick and easy.❤❤❤❤
I love your mom! She is amazing! She needs her own cookbook or a cooking UA-cam channel. I would definitely watch her. I like her teaching skills. You should sell your mom's drink
Yes! Cooking channel!
I support this. Cooking channel.
In Trinidad we have a similar drink around Christmas time called punche creme....it’s basically the same ingredients minus the coconut milk and with the addition of more spices such as nutmeg...so amazing how the Caribbean cultures are sooo connected❤️
I’m sorry I cannot with the little cup. Fill my big ol cup to the top porfavor 🤣🤣.
I look forward to this time of year. I’m Guatemalan and my husband is Puerto Rican. Give me my tamal chapin and my bottle of coquito please. Momma is happy 😂😂
I like that you went for more of a natural look here. For whatever reason of running short on time or anything, it’s nice to see people on screen bare faced. Natural beauty shines through always
Swapping out one can of sweetened condensed milk with the crème of coconut would let you use the crème of coconut without it being too sweet, because it’s basically just sweetened condensed coconut milk.
Your mom is a real lady with class 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
I'm Jamaican and we make a drink called Sorrel. Love everything about Caribbean culture, I'm definitely try this Coquito 💕
I’m Guyanese and we make delicious sorrel!
My fam is Jamaican and I’m just not a fan of sorrel
And rum cream is similar to coquito
I’m 🇵🇷 but love my Jamaicans and I’m familiar w Sorrel. But I LOVE the carrot juice you guys make 😍🇵🇷🇯🇲
🎶 “but her aunts were wildin’ out!”🎶 🤣 it’s like my friends mom who every Christmas we are waiting like 👀👀 for our bottle of Sorrel or her carrot juice! 🇯🇲 so Bomb!
Exactly!!! I want to try this though
Crazy how sorrel in my culture 🇲🇽 we call it agua de Jamaica 🇯🇲 it’s the same exact thing I wonder how it got to Mexico and got that name❤️
@@Makeupgirlylex right! Crazy! Do you guys make it the same way?
@@Makeupgirlylex im Jamaican and I love aqua de Jamaica and Mexican food and culture. Respect!
For those that aren't that big of a fan of rum, amaretto (almond liqueur) is amazing in coquito (and eggnog).
I just pressed played and before watching the whole thing I need to say: I LOVE THIS HAIRSTYLE!!! You look GORGEOUS
Thank you! 😭💕
0:02 Adrienne you're literally beautiful without makeup. Period 💘💖💞💓💝❤
Reminds me of our ponche de creme 🇹🇹. It’s generally made with eggs but we do have eggless
Yes, it’s basically the same. We have such unique heritage and culture!
I was thinking the same thing, punch a cream from Trinidad 🇹🇹.
Our Caribbean culture is the absolute best
Yessss
Yes, we swap the eggs for pumpkin as well. We all have a different version in Caribbean 🇹🇹

Renee Bobb Semple, do you know her?
This is so nostalgic and bittersweet for me because it reminds me of my Grandma, who passed 2 years ago, and all the parties that she used to make and serve this at.. Such beautiful memories! Thank you, as always, for sharing your family with us all, Adrienne!! xo 💗🥺
These look so bomb. My boyfriend was telling me he had them once at a friend's house and it's one of his favorite holiday drinks other than eggnog. I'll have to surprise him and make these for him and my family. Thank you for sharing your mom's recipe, Adrienne! Much love and God Bless you and your familia 🥰💕
Omg yes! Hope you guys love it!
@@AllThingsAdrienne ⛪️🧎♀️☝️👈🤴👈🧏♀️☝️👈🔥🤴👈☝️🎤🙋♀️🙋
Adrienne is gorgeous without makeup 💛
I feel like most Caribbean islands have their own version of coquito. Baileys rum would also be an excellent addition!
Yassssssssss 🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸
🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸
Yes, Bailey's is so good as well!
Rum cream 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
we definitely do! my grandma uses baileys too!
Your mom is so precious!! 🤍 and your look at the beginning with the braidsss 🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥
I love watching her video because they make me feel all warm and homely inside. Makes me look forward to the future when I have my own family and husband. Also love the bond between herself and her mother. ❤️ love you Adrienne. Unproblematic and boogie with it!
So many versions of coquito, your mom's version is the most traditional, love it! I've had pistachio coquito, nutella coquito, non dairy all coconut milks coquito, and definitely always go back to the roots like your mom. I live in Florida so lots of islanders bring their own version and I don't mind trying them. 👍🏽
Thanks for sharing our Puerto Rican heritage. ❤
This family is so beautiful inside and out! God bless you guys 🤍
I really like when your mom joins you in videos. Maybe because she reminds me of my momma 💗💗
I made coquito for the first time last Christmas. It was so good. Can't wait to make it again. 😄
The best!
Your mom is the freaking best ❤️. Please tell her ADRIANNA said THANK YOU so much for sharing this recipe!!! And Happy Thanksgiving to you and your amazing familia 🥰😍💖.
Omg your momma is so beautiful. She is so vibrant and sweet. Many blessings to you!
Adrienne is crazy, I love that you are fab wonderful self. When you said “my aunts were not Pentecostal & were wilding out” 😂🤣😂🤣 love your mom 🥰
Awww I love when you have your mom and sister on your episodes! I grew up knowing about coquito and I honestly can’t wait to try and make my own this year 💁🏽♀️ thank you for sharing this recipe with us! Love that I can relate by being Puerto Rican as well lol also I love that your mom made it without eggs such a easier process to making it 🙌🏽🔥❤️
In Trinidad we have a cream alcoholic drink as well called Ponche de Créme that has alottttt and we do them big ass glasses. 🤣
I think I will try your mom's Coquito recipe and carry a few bottles to my Xmas office lime.
Yess ponche cuba and crema. I feel like there are variations all over the Caribbean. I’m from surinam and we love it especially the pistachio version
Loveeeeee from T&T
Yesss🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
In Puerto Rico, if you add an egg to this it's no longer "coquito" it's called ponche "punche".
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
I am definitely going to use this recipe to make my first coquito! (Probably add more rum). Can’t wait to start drinking coquito next week! Boricua 🇵🇷
My Abuela makes this every year during the holidays! Nothing compares to this traditional drink🥰🤌🇵🇷
Just finishing following this recipe. And it is soooo good!!! I added 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and a 1 tsp of vanilla extract cause why not. I also used captain morgan spiced rum
Adrienne and Claudette in sync ending is perfection .... love it!
Mommy's nails are so fire and Adrienne Low Key --- is that your new renovated kitchen??? I'm readyyy for a tour update!
I love that Adrienne and her mom are so close. They have a great mother-daughter relationship ❤
Thank you Mama Nilda, you're the Best 💖
Reminds me of ponche creme from my country Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹💖💖💖
I adore mama nilda and Adrienne relationship and I Can’t wait to try this recipe ❤️❤️
So I just made Mama nilda's coquito for my mom while listening to your Christmas album and your corritos and let me tell you first of all my mom fell in love with your voice and your ability to sing Christian music and salsa so beautifully and second of all tell Mama nilda she nailed it my mom and my dad loved the coquito and I even put some shreds of fresh coconut on top of it so thank you. Happy holidays
I wish to have a family like yours in the future, a family of my own 🙏🏼💖
I love your mum Adrienne; you are definitely your mum’s favourite and I love when you speak Puerto Rican, amazing. God bless you all 😍
Spanish😂😂 not Puerto Rican
Thanks for sharing! I love your mom, and I love your relationship together, so beautiful🥰 You all are too adorable!
I'm high-key jealous of people with awesome moms. Love Ms. Nilda to pieces.
Adrienne I moved to LA not to long ago and they don’t know about Coquito!!! Like what!!! I am originally from Chicago and Boriquas are everywhere !! I love it!
I don't know you guys if its only me, people with no make up/ very minimal make up always look younger than when they have full make up on.
The face usually has some kind of innocence to it which you can't see when you glammed up.
It's not just your. It's true.
I'm making this immediately! Thank you both for sharing❤
Yes I need to try this out ASAP !!! Perfect video for this time of season! ❄️
I just love your mom! She is so cool!❤
This drink sounds good and I can’t wait to try making this 😋
And I think Adrienne sometimes looks even better without makeup no joke ✨✨✨✨
Your mom is so cute ❤️ happy holiday season to your whole family!
This is perfect!! I was looking to make my own coquito for the first time for the holidays!!
In Haiti 🇭🇹 we call it cremas. It’s very similar.
Aww thank you so much for this! I miss my mom so much every day, but especially during the holidays. When we were younger people would call my mom to see if she was making pasteles and they would place orders of at least a hundred per person and we would help her grate everything by hand. I miss that so much. I was wondering if you had the recipe for the coquito with the egg included also? Thank you again!
ill be making this this year... thanks mama ..happy holidays
You and your sister have such a natural beauty! I love the end. I come from a big family with a lot of sisters, and we are crazy when we are together.
Yessss I’m so excited to try making this on my own!!
Such an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL family!
I would LOOOVE to see your mom’s original recipe
Me and my family love coquito and this one lady always makes it for us around the holidays but we have never tried to make it. So I can’t wait to try this recipe.
I can't wait to make my coquito for the holidays 💕🥰 I add my own touch to it as far as one extra ingredient.
True Puerto Rican Style normally don't use eggs some may add anise & cloves in the cinnamon boil like tea then mix but my Grandma used Coconut Rum & a bit of Bourbon. Love you Adrienne & the family.
Your mom is amazing 👍👍
I recently learned how to make coquito and is definitely one of my new favorite drink. I have been introducing it to family and friends that they have never had it before. Next time I will modify current recipe by boiling the water with cinnamon and use your mom’s recipe. Thank your mom for sharing her coquito recipe. 😀
Thank you so much for the videos! Your such an inspiration and your so beautiful even without makeup and so is your mom. I love older women that cook those good home cooked meals there is nothing like home cooked meals or drinks. Can we please get a video of what you realistically eat in 24 hours please? Happy holidays and keep the videos coming!
Adrienne just love this episode will try it out thank you to your mum. She is beautiful 💓💓💓
Made this last night to take and enjoy with my family for Christmas!! The taste test was 👌🏾!! Thanksss for the recipe !
Omg! I used to work at the airport and for Christmas season I would bring coquito an put it on coffee cups and would drink it my other boricuas! 😄😄😄😄one of them has passed away, and those are the best memories I have with her!
Coquito isn’t really suppose to have eggs in to begin with unless you’re making ponche which is slightly different. Great recipe btw😊
I don’t know 🤷♀️ how you heard me but I was just talking about making this drink this morning so a BIG thank you 😊👏🌹🙏
Using your recipe today ! Thank you so much for all the alternatives 😊
Just made some Coquito using your Mom’s special recipe & it was soooo delicious! Thank you!!! ❤️
Love seeing you and your mom cook!
So lucky..we hit a brick wall when we try to research my mother's background. literally, there isnt any record of my late grandmother's birth. Which I have heard is common in black families. You are So blessed you have that info Mrs. A!
I understand what you mean. I've done a small search nothing drastic but I too hit a brick wall. I believe (like my grandpa) alot of us back in a certain era, didn't have a birth certificate which is unfortunate💜
I miss my dear Mami Coquito 😢 now my niece picked up the tradition and every year she gives me a bottle whoot, whoot can't wait....Salud A 🥂
Yes!!!! I’ve been wanting to make this!!!
I'm trying this recipe next 😍🇵🇷
Yes!
Yes! I'm definitely going to try it!
I love holiday traditions too I remember as a little girl growing up my parents making egg nog for the holidays with no alcohol and we will enjoy them in little wine glasses too as we sing, dance open presents with mom and dad. Now that I lost my dad it brings tears to my eyes when I have this during the holiday season with my love ones.
I’m not Puerto Rican but I LOVE coquito. I always get some from my Puerto Rican friends around this time of the year.
I just recently discovered my Puerto Rican heritage, and I am excited to discover the many different Puerto Rican traditions.
I’ve been waiting for your mother’s Coquito recipe so I can try to make it!!!! 🇵🇷

I make coquito for Christmas and I'm from Chile :) I know it's not necessarily my culture, but the way I see it, we're honoring our latino neighbors. Your mommy is the sweetest :)
