YESSSS. It's definitely underrated and underestimated as boring but once you actually take a deep dive into the lore and stop going with "i shouldn't move i just want jumpscares" this game plays with your mind and is a key point for the lore, simply a masterpiece.
That and when he stops because Ballora is talking to him and he just goes NO GO BACK TO SLEEP. I THINK IT WAS JUST A MOUSE. Kills me everytime. It was just an amazing use of the audio response.

To be fair , I watched all GT and Mark's videos on FNAF in a marathon before Security Breach and am *just* now firming up a mental timeline. MatPat is amazing at what he does but was throwing out so many different theories that it was easy to get confused on the basics. Of course, that's what you *do* when you're a theory Channel, but there have been other resources that helped me solidify details (of course, with the great benefit of hindsight). Wendigoon's most recent was super helpful!

Honestly, I can't tell who id thank more. Scott, for making fnaf. Or Mark, for actually playing it. This feels rewatching an era of my life as I watch mark revisit the fnaf games. Once I complete the playlist, I'm not sure what I'm going to watch anymore.
“Eggs Benedict” “Angsty Teen” “Casual Bongos” “Exotic Butters” The jokes in this game literally never get old. It horrifies me to say this but, they’re almost nostalgic, seeing as this game came out five or six years ago? I feel so old. Sister Location still feels like the newest FNAF game.
I have a plush of at least 1 character from every game. (Funko official) Freddy Fazbear Marionette Springtrap Nightmare Bonnie Lefty Grimm Foxy (only one I'm missing is an AR one and SB one) I hate the designs of the SL animatronic plushies, but fortunately I'm a rare owner of an official Exotic Butters plush for my SL plush!
Still ain’t gonna forget when Mark did the spring lock mini game before it eventually got patched and Scott acknowledged him as one of the people to actually beat it
Mark really does deserve the title “The King of FNAF”. This game feels much more immersive and terrifying than recent entries in the series, seeing him replay this game was so refreshing
Yeah this is my favorite FNaF game bar none. It's not the scariest but something about the atmosphere and being the first entry with full voice acting outside of the phone guy does it for me.
Actually, i think we have a prety solit timeline for the games, if im not wrong. 1) fnaf 4 2) fnaf sister location 3)fnaf 2 4) fnaf 1 5) fnaf 3 6) fnaf pizza Sim 7) fnaf custom night 8) fnaf vr 9) fnaf security breach
@@emraldanimations4689 custom night can probably be omitted from any timelines since even though Afton is (probably) stuck for eternity, he still shows back up in VR and in Security breach.
@@emraldanimations4689 there is no way sister location can happen after the 4th game because of a sequence from the end of the 20/20 mode from SL (i forgot what it was actually called). The last scene where Michael talk about how he should be dead, but he isn't. And how he finally said that he is going to find his father. The last thing we see is Springrap rising from the dead. (Plus William is still alive till the end of fnaf 1 where, through the minigames from the 3rd game, we fimd out he dies in the Spring Bonnie costume, and becomes Springtrap) So it should be: 1) fnaf 4 2) fnaf 2 3) fnaf 1 4) sister location 5) fnaf 3 6) pizzeria simulator (aka fnaf 6) And the other games
Rewatching these revisit streams. And sister location has such a special place in my heart. He released those videos right after i found his channel and started watching all his play throughs so that was the first "new" game i watched him play. It was 2016 and I was in college and i would watch his videos while i studied and wrote papers. No matter how much i was struggling along through classes and life stuff Mark was just there screaming at animatronics. Such a strange thing to be comforting but it really helped.
I feel like Mark playing the trailer for "in space with Markiplier" has become the new rickroll where he tricks you into watching it but you enjoy it anyway.
In terms of gameplay, I'd forgotten everything except for the springlock winding with the Mini Rinas. That was the segment everyone failed and repeated most, but I remember Mark becoming the best at getting through it after enough practice.
Wow, seeing this game again in context with the Afton story is intense. It makes sense that there’s all kinds of buttons of push and things to explore, why the animatronics don’t recognize our character. This is the best game for getting into the lore hands down, and arguably the scariest one of them all, because it shows where the story is going.
i dont know if i would label it the scariest. Maybe the most disturbing for sure, due to how much death is actually in it in comparison to the others. It really is a sad game though when you think about it, imagine how confused and terrified michael was. These games really are amazing (sorry for a late comment LOL)
it's definitely super fun, but since it doesn't have the security office aspect for the most part, it's the most approachable and not too scary for people who find traditional fnaf too nerve-wracking!! :D
Gotta love how Mark remembered something as obscure as dashing through Ballora gallery on the return trip and being safe and then failing to remember how to fend off animatronics in fnaf 2 and 3
It really is gonna feel like UA all over again but this time it’s not going to be as depressing because it’s not getting deleted but this may be the last time Mark plays the past FNAF games
It's very clearly a combination of that, and a desperate need for content. He sounds super low on top with preparing Space, so easy content where all he needs to do is sit down and stream a game that he's already played for an hour, no editing or editor checking, hunting for new games, or not knowing how long a game will be just a simple 1 hour recording session a day is perfect.
I think I forget that mark DOESNT rewatch the entire playlist of his videos or replay the entire franchise every year or so, and therefore he doesn't remember every word of vlad and clara his distressed mistress like I do.
19:22 Baby: I'm curious what events would lead a person to want to spend their nights, in a place like this... Mark: You're here too Baby: ...Willingly
This game has some of the most lore of any FNAF game. It reveals a lot of backstory about Willian and his family. If you don't know: basically Circus Baby was created specifically to kidnap and kill children by pulling them into her chest cavity when they were alone, it was part of her programming. That is why William never let his daughter, Elizabeth, near that animatronic, as he knew it would likely kill her as well. The daughter loved Circus baby because it was modeled after her so she snuck a peek one day, and bingo: the child-serial killer's daughter was killed and haunts Circus baby, who is still programmed to kill but no longer has the device that would be used to do it. With Elizabeth haunting her, she struggles between the want to escape to be a normal kid again and the programming that tells her to kill.
It’s also theorized that springtraps programming to go towards noise is what makes the audio lure work in fnaf 3 even though William is dead set on killing the player
@@thatguythatstoleyourlunch3189 I don't think there's programming like that in Springtrap, I think its cause Afton killed kids and he can hear balloon boys audio laughing. He wants to go to the kid and kill again, but he also wants to kill the night guard. So hes conflicted between the two
@CrunchMonkey Harveyston because in hollywood its a cash grabbing stunt, while for markiplier its something hes truly passionate about, and wants as many people as possible to enjoy itp
@@thatredfox813 True, and honestly that is completely forgivable. From the trailer alone we can see that a fuck ton of resources and cash was put into the project
Same here man, Sister Location is also my favourite in the franchise, it brought us the beautiful Ballora & other unique and colourful Animatronics, who all suffered torment by their own creator, that ol’ bastard Willy Boi.
I checked the job description for the voice actors auditioning for Circus Baby and now I'm a die-hard Heather Masters fan; such a small bullseye but she squarely nailed it
@HIROMADA Well, OP has a JoJo's profile picture, and Kellen Goff was a voice actor in the English Dub of JoJo's, so.. It has quite a bit to do with it.
Can we talk about how genuinely happy he looks when the trailer was playing? It's obvious he has put ALOT of work into this and is very excited for it, and he loves the ocean which just makes it better. You can see that he's really happy to be able to share his work and his love for ocean with us, I find that really wholesome
hearing that music get closer and closer is actually genuinely terrifying. everytime it was too close to be comfortable, i literally stopped breathing until it was gone without realizing-
I'm sad the trailer didn't blow up as much as Mark expected, but I predict that the actual show will be very succeful! I hope all of the team's hard work pays off.
@@3an987 the heist with markiplier got 7.2 million views and mark was hoping it would be more than that. Which is understandable he’s put so much time and effort into it
You’re looking at it the wrong way brotha. His video got millions of views. He’s not gonna be upset about numbers. I don’t think that matters to him at all - it’s unhealthy to place your value in numbers.
I forgot just how hilarious HandUnit was in Sister Location. I’m glad they kept him in the rest of the games but he really shined in this game in particular.
I wish to see Mark binge watch all of MatPat's FNAF theory videos. In return MatPat shall make an "In space with Markiplier" theory. I think that would be a fair trade.
no, mark most likely told mat to not make a theory about iswm, theories will ruin the show, fans will expect things that wont happen, this is why fnaf turned to poo because fans wanted the theories to be true
@@grzegorzbrzeczyszczykiewic5825 Kinda? There was a lot of confusing/interesting lore, so theories were interesting bc they helped to solve that lore. Theories would only help here if the lore was equally as complex. But MatPat didn't do a theory for Heist for the same reason he probably won't do one here - there won't really be anything to theorize about. There's no 'true' path, and Mark likes being mostly straightforward with his lore. Mark even has discussed everything he's made iirc (in regards to productions), to explain what he did, why, and what it means.
In hindsight, the joke from hand unit: “will I ever see my family again?” takes on a whole other meaning knowing we play as Michael Afton, and he went in looking for Elizabeth, trapped inside Baby. Also, if some theories are correct, Mrs. Afton might be inside Ballora.
A big thing that I love about this “series” is that In space with markiplier is launching on april 4th and you should check out the trailer in the link down below if you havent already
I still feel bad for Baby tbh. Like yes I know she was created purely to murder kids… BUTTTTTT, she’s more or less sentient at this point and her genuine (or feigned genuine) confusion and borderline remorse for what happened always get me. I love that Giant murder doll so much!
That’s because the animatronics aren’t aware that they are killing machines. They were programmed to do those things, but their AI doesn’t understand them. Elizabeth probably died too young to have a proper sense of morality, too - and since she looks up to her dad, like most kids do, she wanted to make him proud and probably doesn’t see how messed up it is, either. There is no point in blaming baby - or Elizabeth, who actually died as a very small child raised by a complete psychopath.
I love how proud Mark is of his latest project. To Mark: everyone expects it to cost money because it looks like it has production value, but also because UA-cam has been getting worse in recent years about things like that.
It's so nerve-racking, but also so fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun,fun

the thing that’s crazy to me is that I remembered all the things that happen in this game while watching this revisit, but mark forgot almost everything. just shows how many times i’ve rewatched mark play this game over the years
I’m glad Mark revisted this game but man I wish he’d played night 5. Night 5 in this game is one of my favorite nights in any fnaf game because of how disturbing and scary it is. Night 5 in this game, for me, is what makes this game a horror game. Seeing the hanging bodies especially was just such a bone chilling scene.
Did he give a reason why he didn't do night 5? I skipped ahead of time to see if he gets through the whole game and I found out he didn't, so I didn't really bothered watching past 30 min. It's not like he was even stuck on night 4.
This game definitely dealt with the voice of the game instead of the objective. All the past games dealt with the objectives being safer than anything else. This is probably the only game where there is narrative dissonance. (Check out Scruffy’s video on FNAF for this part.) Hearing two different narrators tell you to do two very different things is scary cause you get to make the choice of who you’re going to listen to. These games heavily rely on choices. This is the only game where you hear what to do, and you get contradictory information from the people telling you what you’re to do. Love I got the fact you’re coming back to these games. I love explaining horror in games! Please keep playing!
@@sansprobably I don't think OP meant to say there are multiple paths you can take, just that part of the stress of this game is not being given a single obvious instruction on how to proceed. You're forced to make a shaky split second decision sometimes, and it is entirely meant to stress you out.
@@galactic-hamster7043 1. I mainly wanted to bring up the change in style than the presentation. 2. Yeah…… just yeah….. 3. Again, yeah…… 4. There really isn’t anything else scary in this title.
I'm starting to believe that if I don't watch space the day it premieres, mark will hack into my dreams and play the trailer over and over again until I watch it.
I know I'm really late on this, but did anyone else just imagine Mark playing therapist to Baby at 49:10 and when she was done, he just sits forward and just brutally diagnoses her as a demon?
I definitely agree with mark, this game is so old but it feels so new at the same time. I have completely forgotten everything about it so it felt like I was watching a new game, but at the same time it took me back to the good old days… I also love the being able to move around locations in this game, hence the name “sister location” I guess :D i liked it a lot when it first came out and I still do
Markiplier's voice is my nightmare repellent. Even with all the scary stuff he puts up with, he's so charismatic that I put him on a playlist whenever I sleep.
Same, his videos are my best background music when i'm doing chores in my house 😂😂 even at my almost 30's, markiplier videos are my daily free dosis de serotonine when anxiety kicks hard sometimes❤
I know all the jumpscares, mechanics, secrets, and voice lines to this game, as well as the classic quotes from Mark’s first playthrough, and watching Mark play it for the second time and the jumpscares still getting him like he’s never played it before is hilarious 😂😂
Baby was originally made as a killing machine because William Afton was trying to capture a random child's spirit after becoming fascinated with how Charlotte possessed the puppet. The reason why she counts the children in the room is because she was supposed to wait until there was 1 left, so that she could kill them without anyone knowing.
and that's why william tried so hard to keep his daughter away from it (as is referenced in the audio clip before each night); he knew what baby could do and didn't want elizabeth to be the only one in the room. william indirectly killed his own daughter.
@@pheonixfire9517 i thought that baby had taken elizabeth cuz she was alone with her and then elizabeth died because they didn't check before they scooped baby but i could be wrong 100%
Something about specifically Mark saying "The Scooper" in a mocking tone makes me laugh. The whole mocking speech was funny but "The Scooper" killed me.
There are so many nostalgic moments in this revisiting series, like in space with Markiplier is coming out on April 4th and the trailer is in the description, so check it out.
If your having trouble understanding the lore Mark. Consider watching Wendigoon's hour long video on the topic. It really allows you to grasp the overall story of the games without getting caught up on the small details.
Yeah wendigoons video is the best fnaf lore video I've watched, and I've watched a lot. He even managed to clear some things up for me when I've been following the lore since the first game came out
I didn't mind Security Breach when I watched it at first, but with every revisit I realize that the older games were so much better. It's amazing how much of what makes a FNAF game is just....missing. The older games managed to nail simple yet terrifying mechanics and used claustrophobic environments to their advantage. Bigger isn't always better. Security Breach has some good going for it but it feels like they nerfed it by making it more kid friendly and marketable.
yeah, also it's completely different from what anyone was expecting. in the trailer, vanessa was helping, there was lots of unused dialogue and a few rooms/scenes, and really was just not what anyone thought would be the final product. it's like it was completely changed between the trailer and release without warning, which.. will definitely not make people happy even if they enjoy the final game.
Scott also removed himself from it, he's done. So yeah, his vision is no longer there and people are shitposting with his license. idk if he sold the rights or just licensed it out but he had nothing to do with security breach as far as I was told.
I love that mark is going through the FNAF games again. He's so entertaining and I love catching him live and watching the vod! Thanks Mark and everyone who helps with the amazing content. I'm so excited for In Space with Markiplier!
When I was in the hospital waiting to be placed in rehab, all i did was watch Mark play sister location and now that he is redoing it makes me feel so good
Sister Location was always a really impressive expansion from the previous games. There was a much longer wait from FNAF 4 to this one, and that combined with what I'm assuming is a higher budget really helps makes this one stand out. There's just so much MORE to this game; more mechanics, more voice acting and dialogue, more story, and I think all these expansions were made in the right direction. Revisiting these games has unfortunately really showed how... detached Security Breach feels, not so much that it's not connected to the previous story very much, but how different it is in its tone and atmosphere. I think SB really failed to capture what made FNAF so captivating, it had its moments, definitely, but it doesn't really hold up well to the previous games despite how much "simpler" they are in their mechanics and presentation.
Honestly, that's probably why so many people (myself included) are all over the Daycare attendant even though half of it chases us (and will kill us) in the Daycare...
I feel like people forget FNAF WORLD came out right after FNAF 4, and after seeing some of the feedback he had received he decided to implement that into Sister Location, making it all one huge build-up.
Security Breach definitely felt way too "fun" for a FNAF game. This was mostly due to having Freddy as an ally rather than one of the animatronics you should be fearing. When the "Revisited" videos started I actually thought "Oh yeah, this is a game series that centers around dead children possessing animatronic mascots that kill you by shoving your body into empty suits" One of the worst parts for me about SB was how many times Afton/Springtrap had been brought back, felt more like a "Well, here we go again" moment than a genuine threat.
(not specifically responding to op but to some replies) Tbh I feel like sb shouldn't have existed. The game felt complete after pizzaria simulator, and we had most of the lore together - Everything afterwards just feels a little forced

6) fnaf pizza Sim
7) fnaf custom night
8) fnaf vr
9) fnaf security breach
@@emraldanimations4689 custom night can probably be omitted from any timelines since even though Afton is (probably) stuck for eternity, he still shows back up in VR and in Security breach.
@@emraldanimations4689 if we talk about minigames- fnaf 4 is first

@@emraldanimations4689 there is no way sister location can happen after the 4th game because of a sequence from the end of the 20/20 mode from SL (i forgot what it was actually called). (Plus William is still alive till the end of fnaf 1 where, through the minigames from the 3rd game, we fimd out he dies in the Spring Bonnie costume, and becomes Springtrap)
So it should be:

Same, his playthrough of SL is my favorite and the one I’ve rewatched the most
I’m glad Mark revisted this game but man I wish he’d played night 5.

I'm starting to believe that if I don't watch space the day it premieres, mark will hack into my dreams and play the trailer over and over again until I watch it.

The fact he didn’t blink throughout the entire trailer was amazing, and terrifying…

@Louiebruh1 You know, I know it's a bot, but this is probably the worst and most immoral message I've ever seen a bot send.
@Louiebruh1 what the actual fuck.
I know I'm really late on this, but did anyone else just imagine Mark playing therapist to Baby at 49:10 and when she was done, he just sits forward and just brutally diagnoses her as a demon?
No, not me at least. But i like the way you think ☝️
Mark still being startled to some degree when getting jumpscared is a true testament to the quality of the games.
is it? i mean when a loud noise and a sudden change of visuals happen you are gonna be starteled no matter the context
@@HECKproductions not really, on security breach i wasn't jumpscared once

I definitely agree with mark, this game is so old but it feels so new at the same time. I have completely forgotten everything about it so it felt like I was watching a new game, but at the same time it took me back to the good old days… I also love the being able to move around locations in this game, hence the name “sister location” I guess :D i liked it a lot when it first came out and I still do

Circus Baby: Do you ever play pretend?
Mark: Nope.
Me: *Intense flashbacks to help wanted*

absolutely loving this “revisited” series! can’t wait to see what game you play next, mark
Same! I get to see what I missed on beforehand!
I think its The Joy of Creation? Not sure tho.

Markiplier's voice is my nightmare repellent. Even with all the scary stuff he puts up with, he's so charismatic that I put him on a playlist whenever I sleep.
Same. Sometimes he completes an entire gameplay when I doze off in Dreamland.
Bro, I thought I was the only one
I do that with Jack’s videos. 😅 I understand
Me too his voice is calming and I loved hearing him promoting his in space with Markiplier video
But did you know In Space with Markiplier drops April fourth, which is a Monday and completely free.
And also that it's in the link to watch 100 times
@@Lucifer04289 😌😆😂 yes. Friendly reminder he prob extends us but I picked it up on trailer I know when it drops lol
The fact Mark is taking every opportunity to fail at the first attempt is oddly frustrating lol
Mark is the Lore-ax. He speaks for the plot trees.
I'll show myself out.
LMFAO amazing dude 👏
No no no, _stay._
Brilliant 👍👍👍👍
thst was actually rlly funny haha
He speaks for the theories
Baby was originally made as a killing machine because William Afton was trying to capture a random child's spirit after becoming fascinated with how Charlotte possessed the puppet. The reason why she counts the children in the room is because she was supposed to wait until there was 1 left, so that she could kill them without anyone knowing.
One of the only reasons I watch fnaf is because the lore its Interesting.
and that's why william tried so hard to keep his daughter away from it (as is referenced in the audio clip before each night); he knew what baby could do and didn't want elizabeth to be the only one in the room. william indirectly killed his own daughter.
and that 1 last kid happens to be William's daughter elizabeth
Then his daughter was accidentaly killed by Baby..
@@pheonixfire9517 i thought that baby had taken elizabeth cuz she was alone with her and then elizabeth died because they didn't check before they scooped baby but i could be wrong 100%
I still can't forget when Mark was yelling "Why would I want dancey-pants to be mad at me?!" while panicking 😂

He even managed to clear some things up for me when I've been following the lore since the first game came out
People who watched matpats false and correct theories back then: pathetic
seriously the most coherent straightforward explanation i've seen yet
was pretty good but i didnt personally like where he placed micheal getting scooped
Based, he has the most coherent rundown up to date.
Agreed
I think they made a mistake making security breach a fully open world game
@@lo6325 I disagree, but open worlds are my thing. It isn't exactly the best as a "five nights" game but it is also good to reach a broader audience
yeah, also it's completely different from what anyone was expecting. in the trailer, vanessa was helping, there was lots of unused dialogue and a few rooms/scenes, and really was just not what anyone thought would be the final product. it's like it was completely changed between the trailer and release without warning, which.. will definitely not make people happy even if they enjoy the final game.
Scott also removed himself from it, he's done. So yeah, his vision is no longer there and people are shitposting with his license. idk if he sold the rights or just licensed it out but he had nothing to do with security breach as far as I was told.
@@brianforsyth2225 that’s correct, sadly. I think he was gonna finish sb, but he got cancelled by a bunch of sensitive people and had to retire early
The pure joy Mark gets out of the exotic butters just makes me so happy
I love that mark is going through the FNAF games again. He's so entertaining and I love catching him live and watching the vod!
Thanks Mark and everyone who helps with the amazing content. I'm so excited for In Space with Markiplier!

When I was in the hospital waiting to be placed in rehab, all i did was watch Mark play sister location and now that he is redoing it makes me feel so good
I hope you’re doing better now!
Sorry you were in the hospital lad, at least mark can boost le morale
i hope your doing better now 🤍
Sister Location was always a really impressive expansion from the previous games.
BRUH WAYY TO LONG OF A COMMENT
I feel like people forget FNAF WORLD came out right after FNAF 4, and after seeing some of the feedback he had received he decided to implement that into Sister Location, making it all one huge build-up.
Security Breach definitely felt way too "fun" for a FNAF game. This was mostly due to having Freddy as an ally rather than one of the animatronics you should be fearing.
When the "Revisited" videos started I actually thought "Oh yeah, this is a game series that centers around dead children possessing animatronic mascots that kill you by shoving your body into empty suits"
One of the worst parts for me about SB was how many times Afton/Springtrap had been brought back, felt more like a "Well, here we go again" moment than a genuine threat.
(not specifically responding to op but to some replies)
Tbh I feel like sb shouldn't have existed. The game felt complete after pizzaria simulator, and we had most of the lore together - Everything afterwards just feels a little forced
44:09 i was hoping he would say "THESE BONGOS HAVE TURNED SOUR!"
I love this man’s dedication to have people watch the trailer while he goes into the death rooms👌🏻
