- The pillars won't spawn in space, they'll just be floating down in the abyss. If we want to get at the fragments, we'll need to find a way to bring them into space with us, without leaving space ourselves...
Here's a link to the world if you want to try it, plus a bunch of other worlds. This one is called Astronomy, you can pick your difficulty (I added a Shrine of Plantera).

@@drantigon It means there is a temple in space and a ton of wyverns must've spawned, both of which indicate how weird the playthrough was (the whole world being in space and wyverns being everywhere in hardmode).

I’m surprised that a Wyvern didn’t come along during the Moon Lord fight. It almost seemed like that was meant to happen.
not 100% sure on this, but I'm pretty sure normal enemy spawns are disabled during most bosses

New updates made it so that bosses now take more enemy slots to prevent enemies interfering with the fight

it is now cannon that this player is the one defending earth from space, and when this one dies and fails to protect earth, then our players have to step in after they actually invaded the planet

If you don’t want to go into wyvern territory, you should have your next playthrough be all in the underworld. That could be interesting as well.

Can literally see wyverns unfold during golem farm, destroyer-style. Uncanny.
"Had to search the entire world and deconstruct my bed to get this hat" reminds me of Hat Valley playthrough.

Yo, bringing the pillars up with sand is absolutely genius and an awesome callback to the mythbuster era of vids. 100% made my day seeing that trick!
Genuinely impressed you handled the Wyverns the entire time. I got *incredibly* annoyed with them (with full despawn buffs!!) while I was building a space mansion ONE TIME. I think I killed maybe 30? Hats off to you man, an absolute legend!
Fighting Moon Lord in his domain, space, and showing him who is the boss. Loved the series as always.
Next playthrough should be two long thin world slices, each at the ocean.

This was one of my favorite challenges yet! So simple, and yet so interesting! (My favorite, despite how painful it probably was, is the Shimmer world)

Seeing this in a lot of other games, but wonder how a playthrough but a random enemy/boss spawns every 30 seconds. Could be sooner or longer, and bosses could be separate, but those would be super fun and chaotic if it’s really rare or tough enemies. Though dying in Terraria isn’t as big a deal so maybe on medium or hardcore.
That would depend on if a mod exists that does that. Wand of sparking doesn't make mods, only maps.

Man, your videos are so well done. The music selection is impecable. A few times I've almost been brought to tears by the music selection, brings back so many memories. Especially from the donkey kong/mario games - I used to play those all the times on my Wii and DS

An interesting run may be a "Use armor and weapons from the Old One's Army Only" run. You can start it pretty early once the Tavernkeep spawns, and it may be interesting minus all the farming to get the gear.

Well I guess there is an alternate universe version of this run where you did tier 3 OOA also, that armor’s pretty good.

What if you did a terraria play though where you make a world on the bee secret seed, and only used items with the letter B in them. A bee only run. I was also thinking of doing something similar in the legend of Zelda totk, where I can only use weapons with a beehive attached to them, only use honey themed foods, and only use yellow dyed armor.

That's basically just a normal play through but harder. Challenge videos are best saved for ideas that change the way you play.

if only there was a mod to make creatures summoned from the statue friendly, and with that mod to make a playthrough using only them would be a chilo-relaxed playthrough in an unusual way).
I wish stacking banners would reduce spawn rate of certain enemies.
After this challenge I wouldn't be surprised if you did an underworld only challenge.

and now i realize how bad would it be if they would be that common
No Wyverns were harm in this playthrough
Idea: What if you did the reverse of this playthrough, like turn everything to underground, cavern, and underworld, and deny the surface and space layer? There's even a world seed that lets you start in the underworld.
Terraria, but you have the feral bite debuff always on you, giving you random debuffs.

Imo all those platforms on the hollowed grass blocks spawning hollowed enemy. Maybe you should consider spawing conditions more carefully.

This one is not really possible in 1.4 since they changed it (unless there's a mod to revert it already), but I'd love to see a playthrough with the sea shell + fish bow helmet combo, that makes you be able to breathe underwater but also drown in the air, seems like it'd be fun if you put in some extra rules!
