Terraria, but the Entire World is Flooded with Lava...

- This is a regular Terraria playthrough with one key difference. Every space of open air is replaced with lava. Air usually makes up about half of the average Terraria world so this world is about half lava. We're going to have to find some creative strategies to get through this one...

Mahogany trees grow without acorns so if you hollow out an area with jungle grass that’s an easy wood source

Funny story: My buddy and I caught lava sharks while fishing so we thought it would be a cool idea to hollow out the underworld(Like destroy all the buildings and hellstone) and fill half of it with lava. It took like 4 hours to hollow out the entire map and then another hour the next day to fill it with lava. It was worth it though.
I don't know what's more impressive, you mining for 12 hours and not going insane, or you filling out the notes until you literally can't put any more onto the page!!
pro tip: use an extremely large paper, you can put everything on it and its still technically one page of notes

It is a WoF strat. But not many know that lava fishing exists. Or atleast the mount. But, this strat is only usefull when you want to clear alot of the ground so you can swim freely

You might already know of this by now, but 1.4.2 includes a *bugfix* for the game freezing when it's impossible for a meteorite to spawn. So.... it might be time to retest some myths, lol.

Another thing you can get from lava fishing is the Lava Absorbant Sponge, which is basically an infinite Dry Bomb that you can't throw. For a lime rarity item, you can get it super early, right as you're able to fish in lava. It would make creating an arena or emptying out small spaces way easier if fighting on the shark is impractical for certain bosses.
This takes floor is lava to a new level.

@@boijone8440 Because of the square-cube law, small worlds have 5,000,000 blocks, and large worlds have 20,000,000 blocks, because their relationship is that the height and length of the world is doubled.

Terraria challenge youtubers are the backbone of content. Purposely making themselves suffer just to break the limits of what ridiculous odds can be overcome.
See, that's the sneaky thing with the "allowing only one page of notes". It forces you to go through your notes and analyze what the most important information is. Also known as "studying". Even if the class allows more notes, or doesn't allow notes at all, making that one cheat sheet is just a really good way to study!

I like this idea. Maybe a run where you have to wear a fishbowl the whole time? It saves completely flooding the world, and presents some unique difficulties (no other helmets, required potions and gear), so it seems like a decent idea.

I would love to see you continue this series. Idk if it would work, but if you could obtain hunter potions would it show bosses through the lava? If you can see the bosses the lava shark should make them fairly easy to dodge at least. As for weapons, I have no idea if this works. But can you fish the toxikarp from a lava pool in the corruption? Anyways those are my ideas good luck lol

If you are a short tempered guy don't even try this because even before starting you will rage quit while filling the gaps with lava

isnt there like a replace block? couldn't you have just done replace air with lava?
and, if he really couldn't do that, he could have made all the water/honey a block that doesn't naturally spawn, did the lava, then set this blocks to water/honey again
You can replace blocks with other blocks and liquids with other liquids but not liquids with blocks or air with anything as far as I know.
