I will buy the game personally because I am a very fan of Luigi's Mansion but also because I am tired of the online mode of Luigi's Mansion 3 and since there is no longer an online mode on the 3DS to play Luigi's Mansion 2 online I'm waiting for its remastered
Big selling point tbh hope they fixed some of the glitches that ended people's runs such as (the key to the last room with ghosts not spawning, no clocks spawning in rush mode, as well as the boss ghost not appearing on boss floors and a few others)
But you guys have to assume that 60 dolars for a game that doesn't look up to today standards is something to criticise about. Any new players can still get LM3 cheaper and will be better in every regard.
Yeah, could you imagine if 2 looked better than 3? It would make 2 seem like it was better graphically compared to 3, when this showcases this was the more graphical approach with the 2nd game. I also wanna mention that with this HD everyone who’s wanted to do a Let’s Play of Dark Moon can without having to do 3DS modding or emulation. As HDMI to capture card is much cheaper than all those other options.
I think comparing the graphics between these two games are a bit unfair, if you ask me. I mean, Dark Moon was running on a 3ds, so of course the graphics are gonna look like that when it get put in HD. I'm honestly just tired of people criticizing this game for being inferior than Luigi's Mansion 3. Like, Dark Moon may have had it's flaws, but it was still a pretty charming game, nonetheless. I'd even go as to say that Dark Moon is my favorite in the Luigi's Mansion series. Fight me all you want. I honestly don't care about your hypocritical opinions.
Well, that's the problem it should not be charming but spooky. He is supposed to be going against ghosts, not Koopas. Also, the lightning in LM2 is just terrible like where are the shadows? the thin light from candles and the darkness? these are haunted mansions, not a traditional boring ass Mario level. Imagine if Big Boo's haunt level from M64 look as lighthearted as LM2

So, of course the game's gonna look like that.
It will also help that even if the HD remake came after, it's still the second game. Anyone playing 2 before 3 will just feel like it's 2 on the switch and then 3 on the switch, y'know?
Luigis Mansion 3 is the best looking game on Switch imo. Luigis Mansion 2 HD looks good, especially when you compare it to the original 3DS version, but this feels more like Metroid Prime remastered territory. Updated visuals, but behind the new graphics is still an older game. I think the team behind Luigis Mansion 2 HD did a great job bringing the game to switch. My only complaint is the $60 price tag as I feel will deter people from buying the game. I feel like $40 would have been a better call similar to Metroid Prime Remastered. But who knows maybe the Luigi being on the box will encourage more people to buy it idk.
I love all of the luigis mansion games. The graphics arent qnything to be ashamed of. Each game is different and unique in its own way. The only one i could understand is if Luigi's Mansion 4 ends up looking like shit compared to LM3, because then it woild actually be an issue and a downgrade.

I played the original so im in the second camp, and I'd have picked this up if it was a full blown remaster, but it being just upscale for $70 CAD I'll pass.
The hd remaster is leaps and bounds better than the 3ds version. New graphics, remoddled sprites, new lighting, everything is rounded off and not blocky. This is far more than 3ds graphics blown up to the big screen
@@ReyvanLatinothe stage, the ghosts, everything lacks originality, i dont know how to explain, most of the stage look the same, a room with different things, if its not a refrigiator, its wash machine, i mean, its not like the second, where u can defenitly see that the level design was different from each stage

3 is essential, perfect game. There is no much so perfect games like luigi mansion 3 in this world.

As someone who loves this game, I'd also have bought this remaster if it had gotten the Miitopia treatment.
I played the first one too and there´s a huge difference when refering to spooky stuff anyway the game is funny but not scary like it used to be
