One of my favorite details about King Boo in this game is one I feel a lot of people miss. In the first game he boasts about fighting you like "a true boo" instead of fleeing before immediately hiding in a Bowser suit and letting it do all the work. In Dark Moon, while fighting you directly this time, he still covers his face when you look at him and only attacks you while you're back's turned. In THIS game, he actively attacks Luigi and friends in a rage and never once hides his face the entire game. He's so pissed off at Luigi constantly defeating him that he overcame the inherent shy nature of his kind.
It Also shows a progression on king boo’s and Luigi’s relationship At the start Luigi was just tool to take on Mario for invading he’s mansions and haunted places, which is showcased by King Boo using a bowser suit since he only sees Luigi has the one preventing him from getting revenge on Mario In Dark moon Luigi is kinda forced to face king boo and ruin he’s world domination plan, the king seems to take the fight lightly and only sees Luigi has a misstep still not taking him seriously and kidnapping Mario but just to mess with Luigi since he’s hatred for Mario kinda dissipated But in Luigi’s mansion 3 Mario is the tool to get revenge on Luigi for ruining he’s revenge and world domination plan, this is showcased by king boo actually fighting like a real boo with he’s powers since now all that hatred he felt for Mario redirected to Luigi and actually became even bigger Basically: in Luigi’s mansion he seems himself has Mario’s nemesis (that’s what the bowser suit is, king boo seeing himself has Mario’s enemy) and Luigi is only a annoyance, in Dark moon he sees Luigi has a annoyance and Mario has a way to mess with Luigi which is showcased by how king boo acts like a boo since he doesn’t see Luigi has anything too important but in 3 now he sees himself has Luigi’s nemesis which is why there is no suit or acts like a normal boo, there’s isn’t a enemy more characteristic to Luigi than himself and he acts towards Luigi depending the way he seems him

The fact that king boo has the capacity to just grab the EGadd shelter, blow it up, grab the occupants and slap them in a portrait means he is never fighting luigi with full potential

King Boo has made it clear throughout the game that he has had enough of Luigi ruining his plans and by the final boss, when he can't trapped him in the painting, King Boo decides that Luigi isn't worth the trouble anymore and just decides to outright kill him. I honestly don't blame Luigi for being terrified by the final boss fight. I would be too.

I can't tell the difference." "Hey, remember that time you trapped me in a painting for all eternity? Good times." "But guess what? I GOT OUT! And now I'm painting the town red!" Plus, King Boo's ultimate plan was implied to be way more dangerous in Dark Moon than in 3 - he was planning to _make the universe collapse by ripping a hole in the veil between life and death and overloading it with ghosts_ - man, that's dark!

I have to be honest, King Boo at first is incredibly hard to find, the only way to know is when he squints, the other clones’ eyes disappear, a bit unfair if you’re not paying attention to King Boo
The final boss looked like fun. Dark moon had a decent one and the original was a lot of fun. Just from appearance I’d say they’re equal since at least this game there was a lot more variety of moves.

Mario's rivalry with bowser is a petty conflict compared to these two gods consumed with raw hatred for each other.

Anyone else having lock on problems getting the bombs in his mouth might want to try letting go of the right sick and using the left to walk toward King Boo until the reticule pops into him. Also try to make sure the vacuum is roughly level, I found if I didn't adjust it vertically at all it was usually in line with his mouth.
@@steven20919 Maybe it doesn't work for you, but it worked for me. Unless they just plain patched the controls and that got messed up. Everyone also has different hand sizes, reflexes, different grips on the controller or not even the same controller. That could affect it too. Keep trying and either you will get lucky or you will find a method that works for you.

Yeah, I hated how in Luigi's mansion dark moon and Luigi's mansion 3 you have to capture boos using there toungues against them, gross and dumb looking in my oppinion
For this one, I grinded enough cash to buy 10 golden bones, but I ended up using none of them. Nice. I lost count of how many times I died, and when I prepare for it, I get it in 1 go. I'm not sure why I'm even complaining.
The Google the final boss of the 1st was also repetitive. He has what 5 moves? Backwards charging, spike ball, fire breath,...and the icicle shooting when you knock the head off. Believe it or not this final boss has more moves. Dark moon was repetitive but I liked the chase and the way it looked was top notch. Nostalgia can bite ya but that’s why I flip it. Yeah this was repetitive but how was the 1st? The 1st was just a lame excuse to bring bowser into the fight. Still fun but in retrospect it’s pretty obvious

You can also look at the teeth. King Boo has 4 teeth while the copies only have 2. As a bonus, the copies look more like his original design in LM1.

Mario's rivalry with bowser is a petty conflict compared to these two gods consumed with raw hatred for each other.

Anyone else having lock on problems getting the bombs in his mouth might want to try letting go of the right sick and using the left to walk toward King Boo until the reticule pops into him. Also try to make sure the vacuum is roughly level, I found if I didn't adjust it vertically at all it was usually in line with his mouth.

@@steven20919 Maybe it doesn't work for you, but it worked for me. Unless they just plain patched the controls and that got messed up. Everyone also has different hand sizes, reflexes, different grips on the controller or not even the same controller. That could affect it too. Keep trying and either you will get lucky or you will find a method that works for you.

For this one, I grinded enough cash to buy 10 golden bones, but I ended up using none of them. Nice. I lost count of how many times I died, and when I prepare for it, I get it in 1 go. I'm not sure why I'm even complaining.

That final boss fight feels somehow uneventful...
More eventful than the 1st and second in my opinion. Definitely a step in the right direction in my opinion. Especially the art.
It's better than Dark's Moon repetitive final boss fight at least. But I agree, I feel like something is missing.

The Google the final boss of the 1st was also repetitive. He has what 5 moves? Backwards charging, spike ball, fire breath,...and the icicle shooting when you knock the head off. Believe it or not this final boss has more moves.
Dark moon was repetitive but I liked the chase and the way it looked was top notch.
Nostalgia can bite ya but that’s why I flip it. Yeah this was repetitive but how was the 1st? The 1st was just a lame excuse to bring bowser into the fight. Still fun but in retrospect it’s pretty obvious
Tbh, this is honestly the most eventful outta the three, I feel like it’s a bit shallow to keep King Boo the same only difference is that he can multiply every phase, but it’s basically the same thing with Bowser and almost every other Nintendo Villain, so no complaints here.
