Natural bodybuilding is sport and also a lifestyle promoting well-being and grace but sad such environment largely doesn't exit today , Steve Reeves was a legend, no doubt.🏋️
I believe it was called a "good morning" because waaaay back people used to great one another with a slight bow and usually a lift of what ever hat they were wearing and greeted each other with a "good morning".
Good evening Mr. Golden era. Sorry if this isn't the place for this question. I was just wondering if you have any information on Mickey Hargitay? I would like to find out more info on Mickey. Thank you for any help.
Wide grip chins/pulldowns are overrated for developing the lats. Dorian Yates said he never performed them either, preferring various rowing movements as well as the old Nautilus pullover machine.
Reeves did a variety of routines. The video shows but one of them. I read that he liked to do chins behind the neck, BTN pulldowns, and cable rows. In another vid, he did stiff-arm pullovers with not a whole lot of weight, but it's a great serratus exercise. Reeves believed in variety, and if I remember correctly, Vince Gironda supplied him with three different back routines when he was prepping for one of his contests. Reeves was truly one of a kind.
@@lightningarrow4486 There's a video of the Mr. World competition...I think it took place in 1948. It's all in French, and it shows Reeves warming up with some exercises, like rock presses (he did it as a joke), some barbell presses with those old spherical barbells, and stiff-arm pullovers. I think the vid was called La Plus Belle Homme de Monde, but I'm not sure.
@@FACTS-od6gz I need to clarify my brief writing style. I just wondered whether Steve did wide grip chins! That actually has nothing to do with trapezius-development. But as he was a fan of V-tapper, naturally people would think that he was a fan of wide grip chins. But interestingly, none of his routin's mentioned about wide-grip chins!
Great Information thanks!! I have a question. How many sets and reps are recommended for "Good morning" ?? And the weight used, should be light or heavy??

Steve reeves, the modern day pro's have got 50-60 pounds on him but they don't look like a Greek sculpture. Surely he performed pull ups?
glenn Paris I am sure he did, it was just not covered in this article
Weighted chin ups are King for back width

Where is that video when he preforms pullovers?

The traps is not just upper back. It extends all the way down to mid back.
Would Steve Reeves ever do deadlifts beside the Reeves deadlift?
I've previously read that Steve Reeves never did Trapzious because he thought traps would destroy his V-tapper. Didn't he do the wide grip chin ups?
Wide grip chin ups have nothing with upper trapezius,it hit middle and lower traps but not upper.

he had sick lat and serratus genetics. just look at that 1st photo.
❤❤❤
I'd love a better demonstration.. barbell Rowing to the upper chest. How the hell does that work?
I made Reeves deadlift 183 KG (403,446 lb). Can you?
It's not a deadlift that Reeves did. It was a shrug
What benefits you got? Explain all
👍👍

Row row row your boat.
No pullups steve?
Steeve was basically born with that body.
Then I feel sorry for his mother
Strange, there is no wide pull ups
Matija that's what I thought when I read the article
In his Book Classic Physique he said he did chins with 10lb tied around his waist
igor stein cool
Thank you, I also read that his favourite back exercises was pullovers and dumbell rows
Matija you're welcome
He did not train his traps.
