- Rich Energy are back in F1....maybe. The British energy drinks company recently boasted that their return to F1 is imminent. Is it, though? And what has become of the brand ever since they left Haas in the middle of 2019? Well, this is what we aim to find out in this video...

Rich Energy...the biggest energy drink that nobody has actually seen in a store.
I’ve never seen them in store but I once saw someone in a rich energy van selling it them for like $12 a can
I saw one for 50p and it tasted like shit
Amazon
Energy drinks are literally one of the oldest scam around to attract investors....always brings all kind of shady money in. It's basically impossible to crack Redbull/Monster/Rockstars high end segment, maybe the lower £0.20p drinks but most big stores have their own brands now they sell. The world isn't short on dumb & sus anonymous 'investors' i guess.
Apparently they’re aiming for the commercial market where they undercut Red Bull on price for bars who use it as a mixer but they haven’t cracked that market either

At this point I genuinely hope he does

The “UK’s premium energy drink” that you cant get anywhere 😂😂😂
The drink doesn't exist
I have some...
If Rich Energy is premium then what about Purdey's? The UK's most elite energy drink! 😂
Lmao there's literally no such thing as 'premium' energy drink as they all cost pennies to make & are priced high due to marketing hence Redbull sponsors everything. It's why they cost £1 vs same stuff you can buy for £0.30p. Monster/Rockstar are kinda only other 'expensive' ones....i guess its an impossible market to crack at the top.
Everyone knows the premium energy drinks in the uk are the ones you get from the off lisences for like 39p

My favorite part of the Whyte Bikes drama is that the founder Jon Whyte, actually worked for Benetton F1 as an engineer in suspension design. He was really good at his job. He transitioned from aerospace in the mid 1980's. When he left the company he went to work for Marin cycles, and developed the Quad suspension platform which proliferated Marin's entire dual suspension line up for almost a decade. The quad platform, was by Jon Whytes admission an adaptation of suspension linkage designed during his tenure at Benetton. They murdered rear shocks of the era, as the swing arm was 2/3rds of the frame length causing cracks and bends, and lack of heat management caused cavitation of the damping oil. Eventually Jon went out on his own and started Whyte Bicycles, and turned the reigns over to his lead suspension designer Ian Alexander after a few years. They still make a kick ass bike, and I'd love to own one someday.
I'm convinced Rich Energy is an elaborate ruse put on by Red Bull to simultaneously make them look great compared to Rich but also knee cap any future competition with an awful title sponsor.
@@shadowclaw1157 they already sponsor the Merc tho
That is such an elaborate ruse it's probably true
I just thought of the same realization before reading your comment!
From Wikipedia: 'The company was founded in 2015 by William Storey and an anonymous Austrian scientist.' I wonder who the anonymous Austrian scientist is...
I reckon it is a savvy attempt at artificially creating the noteriety, hype and marketability that he has watched Red Bull and Monster do very successfully. They are pretty much the two Energy Drink brand name big players, set up a recognition to have 'Rich Energy' transcend many markets beyond 'Energy Beverage', like the other two do.
If I am right, it is clearly working - *realising I am commenting on a god damn UA-cam video about this*
I predict that there will be a scandal when Storey won't be let in to the paddock because he refuses to wear a mask.
He was talking about 2022, how long do you predict us wearing masks?
@@badgoogle9938 he says that they're going to be a sponsor this this season. Also, don't be too optimistic, even with vaccines Covid will still be a thing for the next few years at least. Masks are probably the last things that will go away.
@@p_Lama_q if you looked at tom Brady in the superbowl, he wasn't wearing a mask. I not saying whether it is right or not but athletes and their governing bodies will decide when a mask is not necessary when they are in the paddock. Rich Energy enters and leaves in 2026
In the word of Arnold Schwarzenegger “get to the chopper and f**k off” i lost it 😂😂😂
I was looking for a comment about this
Just having a thumbnail on youtube is more attention than rich energy deserves
We all know F1 has a history as long as the Nile of dodgy owners/investors, but given they never stumped up the full value of the Haas contract, thus confirming what we all already know (they have no money), who in their right mind would partner with them?!? (Not to mention the potential PR disaster waiting)
The only way any team will deal with Rich Energy is if they pay the full amount on spot if the team is financially f*cked. Or if RE buys out a team.
Because he's lying, I expect. Storey is obsessed with attention.
Given the video and some research, apparently the 'partner' is Dmitry Mazepin. Given most fans opinions on his son Nikita Mazepin and his 'actions' (to put it generously) towards his now ex-girlfriend, this Mazepin-Rich Energy alliance sounds like a match made in hell. Although on your point of the potential PR disaster, I doubt there is more PR damage that can be done to Nikita Mazepin that he hasn't already done to himself.
@@calumbishop7082 given the fact that Mazepin the elder is a Russian rich man, he probably doesn't give a toss about PR and feels comfortable in the company of con men like Bad Santa.

Apparently Rich Energy’s main defence when being sued by the white bikes was that the latter is not a very well recognised brand; to which white then pulled out a picture of Romain grosjean riding one
Oh yes William, Gene did make a great move by signing Nikita Marzipan...
and the fact that he considers him a future world champion over Mick, who actually won the F2 title is even funnier
@@ingridfazakas1 guess who has the money and the sponsor of Uralkali. I mean, I don't think Mazepin will have a big impact at F1, but it's always nice business wise having a big Russian sponsor..and eventually he will leave Haas so get ready to see him at another F1 team....
I'm still giggling about how and why someone named that team "OMG Racing".
Hey, I would say there's small update.
Found actual Rich Energy cans in Estonia, Kivila Grossi in Lasnamäe - black and white, zero sugar one. Small, 0.33 l can, is on the pricier side - 1.48 euro. I've taste-tested it and I can say - wow, it's bad. Imagine regular Red Bull, but much sweeter.

I live in the UK, near London and I have never seen a can of this stuff in my life.
Rich Energy ltd went into liquidation in July 2019. Pretty much the same time as it formally changed its name to Lightning Volt ltd. Lightning Volt (in liquidation) is the only company with William John Storey listed as a director. Another company has since been registerd with the Rich Energy name. William Storey is Not a director of this company and thier accounts show very little turnover. Certanly nowhere near enough capital to enter F1.
A very simple due dilligence search with UK Companies House shows that there can be no subsatnce in the rumour of Rich Energy entering F1 and any self respecting investor of F1 team would give the idea a VERY wide birth.

what if hes lying and all this talk is just speculation. Hes got everyone talking about Rich Energy just sayin
Just like what he did with Sunderland AFC
That's my thought. The only logical route is that he's returning to Haas but as much as he is in support of Mazepin and obviously Mazepin's dad is the new investor to Haas, I think even they've got enough sense not to partner with someone like that. On one hand, it makes sense - I wouldn't call Mazepin a clean investor, quite the opposite in fact & Rich Energy certainly knows how to play the media to gain attention but on the other, I don't think even they would be daft enough to partner with someone who has proven that they can't stump up the money agreed upon.
He has a history of lying. A high court judge said so in the Whyte Bikes case he lost .
