That's not exactly true. It should be taken into account that on the Israeli side there is freedom of speech (for Jews and Arabs of course) and on the Palestinian side there isn't.
@@MAZ440 "Freedom of Speech" As Israel arrests professors who say they shouldn't be killing civilians, and as they mass arrest thousands of palestinians in the west bank for liking tweets and changing whatsapp status's to "May god protest us all" Give us a fucking break.

They can't say whatever is on their mind if it is not according to what's dictated in their community. You have a video on this channel of a Jewish guy who speaks in Arabic and he seems to capture the mentality very well. I only saw comments that agreed with him and also the people who were in charge of the translation agreed with what he said.
The first difference I noticed when I was in Israel was that many Arab Israeli women dressed in western clothes and East Jerusalem and the West Bank women almost all dressed modestly and wore a hair covering. The Arabs in this video seemed more relaxed than the people in the West Bank I've seen in other videos.
@@miavogel4903 sure. and in israel you even have christians who dare to identify as non arabs but assyriacs, arameans and armenians. but i know many women of bigger clans which are traditionally "muslim" who dress in western style and study in jewish universities and live outside traditional norms common among west bank palestinians. evident even in modeling and acting careers among them, and revealing/nudity photograpghs.
In these horrible times of war, our israeli arab brothers have shown great compassion to us, the jews, i have tears from each story i hear about the help they give us. Btw, arabs where also murdered by hamas on octover 7th. Thank you. I wish we could live in peace togather, inside israel and seperated with a palestinian state

@@siimply_mee But you have THAT on the one side, and you have people excusing and cheering Hamas on the other. You also have the fact that the "Aid" was in goodwill. So no matter how you spin it, you cannot pin this on Israel.
@@siimply_meeit makes sense to not want the PA on both sides they are just as much hellbent on the destruction of Israel just slightly less likely to crash out.
I’ve been to Israel and I can’t tell the difference between Muslims and Jews much less where someone is from. They are all yelling all the time and have good hearts. The outside media lies. Most people live in peace and have friends on both sides, I’ve seen this.
Most humans want peace. But our governments don’t represent us. You see the western people, they all support Palestine and want to see them liberated and given justice, yet the governments egg Israel on to commit genocide. In the same way, most Israelis don’t want to oppress the Palestinians or commit genocide, but the government is hell bent on ethnic cleaning and mass murder.
you should watch his video where he interviews arabs from the west bank. they want to expel all the jews from israel, except one of them who was chill. Israeli arabs are living in israel like jews, but when problems occur, 50% of them have identity crisis and they cause problems. then, it's hard to differentiate between friend and foe which was what the guy at 10:50 was referring to. But the only thing he got half wrong is the thing about the police, the police in israel can be brutal to everyone, jews and arabs alike. they only treat the people of tel aviv nicely, but they shit on everyone else.
Have you been to Gaza or the West Bank? Or the seen the Ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel? The atmosphere would be different especially in Gaza and in the Ultra Orthodox Jewish areas of Israel and in Jerusalem (West Bank).
This is one of Corey's most insightful and interesting videos. And I believe the Arab Israeli's perspective can give an outsider a very thorough look into the situation.
You know what! I was just searching about Israeli Arabs, curious about their conflict of identity with the Palestinians and then this pops up. Thank you, Corey!
@@ask825 Well technically and ironically if the colonizing Roman Empire hadn’t changed the name when they conquered the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah they would all be Israelis! Palestine was a name given to the geographical area of the land not a people. Arafat coined the term for them in 67 but before that they were just known as Turks or Arabs and Jews. The Arab caliphate conquered first in the 7th century so they aren’t an indigenous tribe.
@@ask825 Thanks ☺️ What colonisation? You can’t technically colonise your own homeland also they were penniless refugees at the time, there was no colonial entity like an empire, sultanate or caliphate etc. straight out of the KGB handbook. Arafat was schooled there and did a dissertation on Holocaust denial 😵💫 Also there’s no apartheid, thatl a lie as well. The corrupt UN had to change the definition of Apartheid completely to use it on Israel btw of which they gave them 15 resolutions last year, Russia 6, USA 1, North Korea 1, Nigeria 1 Syria 1, Iran 1. Bearing in mind that Israel kills a few hundred a year, mostly terrorists, and the rest kill multiple thousands of their own citizens. Check their fatality rates. They have banned foreign press and control their own media so it amplifies Israel to make them a scapegoat for their own atrocities.
Thank you so much for this video. I especially liked the longer conversations with people who opened up more, it's nicer to watch than those short more rash conversations.
i've seen enough of these videos to say its the people too, not just the leaders. almost everyone are dead set on conquering Israel from the Jews and expelling them all.
Yea he was speaking facts. Having lived in Yafo for a long time, thats exactly how it is. Day to day, we all get along great, but when bad things are happening it feels really tense. You kinda get the feeling like people just want to fight you, and that probably goes both ways. Its unfortunate.
He means that people live normally, and then when problems happen, the Israelis’ masks come off and they show how they really feel. On a normal day, they stop in his shop, buy some food, and talk about the weather. On a bad day, they try to provoke him so they can beat him to death using his reaction as justification. Wow Corey great video. The Golani lawyer, the 42 year old who has clearly had a rough life ("they're always listening"), the 2 guys arguing about the questions over a box of Osem (hilarious). Loved this.
The Golani lawyer is a Druze, not a Muslim. The Druze are microscopic part of levantese Arabs so their beliefs and values are different from those of the majority of Arab people. @@LeonSlobo-zj3vrNo, he means that the religions have different standards for conflict. The OT says to annihilate the enemy down to killing newborns and r@ping women. The Quran says to fight the enemy to the best of your ability and spare women, children, elderly, religious people not involved in the conflict, don’t kill livestock or destroy property unnecessarily, and only fight those who fight you until they are the are ready for peace, then have peace. Christians seem to be told to be pacifists or close to it from my understanding, but I haven’t read the NT. They’re coming at the conflict from two different perspectives. The Zionists want to dominate and will use the OT to justify their position even if they don’t believe in it, and Zionists tend to be atheists in any case. The Muslims want justice for the atrocities they’ve been living through for almost a century but ultimately want peace in Palestine for everyone who lives there. He pointed out that there can’t be peace without addressing the land theft, settlements, violence, etc., and when they asked about two states he dismissed it because what is left at this point? Disconnected villages here and there that require permits to travel through land occupied by the IDF to even travel from village to village? No right of return for refugees who were forcibly expelled and their descendants? The Israeli government has even taken control of Palestine’s taxes, so any talk of a two state solution is disingenuous. The Israelis will either successfully complete their campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide and pretend to be sad 🎻 about it when they come out of the fog of bloodlust, or they’ll have to act like decent humans and join the entire land together with equal rights for all and stop obsessing over having a country completely and only for ethnic Jews.
Great video!! You were asking "how are you different from pt arabs" which in Arab culture can translate to "what makes you different from pt Arabs". Id suggest asking "how are IL arabs different from pt arabs".

You can be a patriot and a leftist as well. That used to be very common in Israel and the Arab world alike, sadly not much anymore. If I were Israeli, I would support Hadash, they seem to be the last glimmer of hope for cooperation between Jews and Arabs.
1. Israeli Palestinians speak Arabic and Hebrew (PA not) 2. PA Palestinians speak Arabic; only a small minority know English or any second language. 3. Palestinians (PA) don't have Israeli passports or visas or work permits (there are many who get work visas for Israel). 4. Jewish Israelis generally don't know how to speak or read Arabic which is an official second language in Israel, but they do speak English, which is also an official second/third language in Israel.

No, religion does not constitute a problem if people apply the teachings of their religion with understanding. Islam calls on us to treat Jews and Christians well and kindly. I believe that the Jews, before the founding of the State of Israel, lived in Arab countries in peace with their Muslim and Christian neighbors, and some of them lived a very prosperous life as merchants and were not exposed to harm. The problem is that peace will not happen because there is essentially an occupation and a state that was founded on seizing land from its indigenous people and displacing them abroad. Whether other regions in Palestine or neighboring Arab countries
The fact that they didn't answer only by saying "its our land" shows they're different, let alone how so many Arab Israelis bring *nuance* and know how to reflect on their ideas, and how to engage in dialogue.
The nuance is necessary, assuming they could risk their citizenship or worse if some extremists found out. It's nonsense to think that the vast majority of Arabs in Israel especially the Muslims wouldn't support the Palestinians if they ever saw a day where it seemed that side was dominating the Israelis. It's only because the Israelis have completely dominated Palestine that the Arabs in Israel keep quiet.
Love this window into the lives of my Palestinian countryfolk living in Israel, but upon watching I remembered why I take long breaks between watching Corey's videos. He has the tone of Israeli bias, even if so very subtle. Corey condescendingly says that he is able to spot a Palestinian from the West Bank a mile away, as if to say that the "one of us" Palestinian-Israelis are better than their counterparts living under occupation and apartheid. He also does not answer the gentleman's question at the end, "why do you think that Palestinians in the West Bank don't want peace with Israel?", choosing to shake it off instead. He is a rarity in being a Jew that travels throughout the West Bank, he has seen the walls and the checkpoints that litter those territories. He has the ability to speak about the living conditions made difficult by Israel on Palestinians there. Regardless, great insights and very educational overall. Thank you very much for your efforts in doing these.
I love when you were able to include a husband and a wife, focusing on the wife. You could clearly see a difference in her not wearing a covering. And they both admitted that there were big differences, and that they had a better, peaceful life in Israel.

This is a lesson in history: if people aren't kicked off their land, walled off, and controlled militarily, but instead integrated humanely into a pluralistic, diverse state with equitable social and economic opportunity, then people are more likely to be educated, progressive, tolerant, and peace-abiding. Maybe all Palestinians should have been given citizenship and/or blue passes, then the majority of Palestinians would be more like the Palestinian/Arab Israelis.
@firthm2 I absolutely agree. Great comment. It's one of Israels biggest mistakes. BUT - when this is said, we must look at why it is so. The occupied territories from after the war in 1967, were Egyptian and Jordanian land. Both countries denounced their claim to it and Gaza and the West Bank therefore became "no man's land" or stateless territories. So although they are controlled by Israel, it is technically not part of Israel. AND therein lies the mistake I think Israel has made. They should have annexed the territories the day Egypt and Jordan denounced it. The reason why they didn't was because they didn't want to be seen perceived as expanding their land by force. Also, it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference because the people living in the areas (and now their descendants) were those moving starting the first war against jews in 1947-48 and subsequently moved out of Israel to Egypt and Jordan, from where they started the 2. War 20 years later in 1967. So it would still have been almost impossible to integrate and peacefully co-exist with these Arabs that already twice had tried to eliminate Israel. So in theory you are absolutely right. In reality I doubt it would have been possible. But Israel should still have annexed the territories at least after 10 years instead of letting the question being unresolved.
IMO the core difference is that Israeli Arabs are willing to live with and under Israeli rule. Palestinian Arabs reject Israeli presence and rule. Same applies I suspect for Jordanian Arabs and Palestinian Arabs. Ask a Palestinian Arab in the West Bank this question, 'How are you different from an Israeli Arab settler in the West Bank? For example there are Israeli Arab settlers in Ariel.'
There isn’t much difference . Both are the same . Some are more secular than the others. But same manager, culture, religion and etc. The only difference is one more modern than the other and living in different areas .
In 1861 a an unbelievable bitter brutal war was fought in America. The guy in 1:58 nailed it, he says the Israeli Arabs thinks how to live with what they got, while the Palestinians thinks only of how to get their land back(what they claim to be their) and that's exactly the difference. There's a saying "every man needs to paint his rainbow with the colours available for him" or something like that. Meaning: Accept what you have. Make the best of it. Muhammed chasing the jews out of their LAND
Why are Muslims worldwide now hating the jews as they become a nation once again
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1606

Sahih al-Bukhari 4557
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Verse:--"You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind." means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.
Sahih Muslim 22
It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said:
I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.
Surah (9:29): “Fight against Christians and Jews until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.”
Surah 5:51
O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

@@solvingpolitics3172same thing you can ask what a Belgian is. 300 years ago there was no Belgium nor even an idea of it. But people came together to form a state. Palestine is for the Arab people living on this land and the name dates back to the Philistines tribes. And it's not in the West Bank, West Bank shouldn't be a Palestinian territory. If Israel came to surface as a historical root of Kingdom of Israel, then Palestine should also have the right to root itself to the Philistinian tribes and where they land was. In today's Gaza , a bit of Israeli territory that surrounds it and in north east of Synai. Palestinians that are in today's West Bank would move as they wish to the new state, those who will choose to stay will turn into Israeli Arabs. End of the story. The territorial situation in Europe after WW2 was far more complicated that this, yet Europeans managed to do it. It can be done but if there's no will - then nothing can be done.

6:14 summarizes the differences between them succinctly
What are the occupied territories?
The problem is that Israel retains too much control over security, basic supplies, justice, even water.
I think Israel needs to withdraw almost entirely.
I dont think they are obliged to invite Palestine settlers into Israel. I don't think they are obliged to.allow Palestinians into Israel for work.
I think an Arab UN coalition government should occupy Gaza after this. I think Isrsel should not have to police Palestinians.
It is time for Palestine leaders to abandon terrorist aggression, to recognize Israel and to develop a governance plan for the Arab Palestinian people.
I think the Levant should be designated as a UN protected world heritage site.

I personally know that spot, it's not really a jam. 3.53 that guy looks kinda like one 9f my heros.Meir Dagan.
I noticed 1 big difference. The 1948 Arab Israelis don't hate jews and Israelis like Palestinians without a blue pass.
Palestinians in Palestinian Territories have been given every reason to hate Israelis
The federal government invaded the former confederacy with great force and influence to create an ideologically diverse but once again unified nation which has withstood many daunting challenges if we had not have been reunited then the US would not be the amazing powerful nation that it is now we got past our differences when we came together we remain to stand strong I pray that Israel and Palestine will get past their differences to be the awesome nation that they can be.
Yes but what about natives ,their languages survived???
The guy in 1:58 nailed it, he says the Israeli Arabs thinks how to live with what they got, while the Palestinians thinks only of how to get their land back(what they claim to be their) and that's exactly the difference. There's a saying "every man needs to paint his rainbow with the colours available for him" or something like that. Meaning: Accept what you have. Make the best of it. Don't miss out on painting YOUR rainbow just because you lack some or most colours!!! There is still a rainbow for you also!
