Hey han i know this video is old but i just want to say thank you for taking the time to make this video really helped me and guided me alot and luckily got my window fixed ! Have a greay day!
You don’t have to reinitialize window it’s not a module. You don’t disconnect battery or you can’t roll regulator into place to be serviced. Airbags don’t blow as easy as people want you to believe. A crash signal must be sent to the airbag from the airbag module this is rumor started by dealerships to discourage people working on their own vehicles. Everything in this video was safe. The worse that can happen is by unplugging airbag there’s a slight chance the airbag light will come on and need to be erased or annoy you for a while until it completes a series of self testing and shuts itself off but that’s only a 5% chance it can happen if plug itself is messed up while being unplugged. I am a European Auto Technician for over 25 years.
not a bad job. but you really need to make sure that you disconnect the battery first, and be more gentle with the airbag, as it can explode right in front of you cause great bodily harm. you had it hanging around for a while, i would suggest against that.
Hey buddy so mine has thrown a code because I removed my air bag without removing the battery. I now have an airbag code. I’ve tried resetting the battery but the code won’t go away. What do I need to do?
Hey ended up doing the job worked out great ur video is the best video on this job no time wasted talking about nonsense just straight to it fucken great, man thank you !
great instructional video. Can you provide the part # that you ordered? There area a lot of regulators out there on the market and I would rather order one that has already been installed and knowingly works. Thanks
Great - thank you very much. Would you also recommend that I replace the window clips? I just want to make sure I have all necessary parts before I begin.
Julia g hmm... they might be worn out so I would definitely change them while I do it. Mind as well do it while you change the regulator since they dont cost that much right?
What I did was to grab a tiny glob of the sticky black glue that holds the soundproofing on the door, and stuck that in the socket. It worked perfectly on those 8mm screw heads.
Thank you for the video and you have to millions thanks to bmw for building a poor quality product that keep on failing so you can make the video Japanese car no video because windows never break down
U did not put BMW Cable Holder 61131379079 where some put wrong zip tie u cut off there.. u should check part catalog before u put it window regulator in, BMW tech should know what i saying

You need to remove the negative cable from battery before doing this job.

@@kouyang22 Once you've set it off, it has to be recoded by bmw. Take it to the dealership to get rid of the code.
Did the new regulator come with new window clips or did u buy those separately can u add a link if you bought them separately
They came with. I'd make sure with the vendor

What about power window re-initialization?

I just pulled the fuse for the airbag. You need the power to manipulate window into place
