Back to Nature Camping Experience, Camping In The Heart of Nature - Fantastic Weekend Camp!

- Here we are on our second camp of the year! This time we are experiencing a 'wild camp'. Castle Wild Camp is a back to nature camping experience in North Norfolk where 60 acres of arable land has been taken out of production. It is an award-winning conservation project where the land has been turned into a wildlife haven where a few areas have been set aside for camping. The areas for tents have been divided into secluded glades surrounded by trees, shrubs and grasses. There's also a converted school bus and a woodland cabin. There are hot showers showers using an a bucket and pulley system (one covered and one open to the elements) One of the best showers I've experienced! The toilets are eco friendly compostable ones, which is not as bad as it sounds! Both the showers and toilets are extremely clean and are cleaned throughout the day. The whole area is absolutely stunning! from the minute we got there it was constant bird song. We saw a few deers, hares, rabbits, bats and heard owls (one night, we had one right above our tent - frightened the life out of us hahahah!!) There is a lovely walk to the Baconsthorpe Castle (and the pub) which is well worth doing...or just wander round camp.
This is definitely a camp site that we will return to, and camp for a longer period. It's an absolute gem of a camp site.

Few things,dont advertise the site,it will get wrecked by the wrong sort in the long run,please dont eat processed food,make your own,folk love that,this vlog is like the sunscreen song,dont repeat yourself,thank you for your hard work editing and the filmwork.
Would love to see it when your hounded by the bugs,and seeing the fields in full glory,the farmer is a legend,please give him my deepest congratulations,as he gets it ,there are fewer and fewer nowadays.

Robert I find we can "Grumble Grumble" no one is listening LOL. Those huge fields will look awesome once the wild flowers show up for sure. I'm thinking by the growth in that pond the bottom would be pretty muddy so I'd listen to that sign leave the swimming to the frogs LOL Robert is definitely a laugh and a half, I like my meaty burger to Robert LOL. But I've had some good veggie ones too lol. The birds were showing off their singing abilities. Hope you guys have a great weekend

Yes, totally agree about the flowers... I'd like to revisit next year once they have had the chance to self-seed, I bet it will look amazing!
Robert does make me laugh, I have to say though, I also get the urge to punch him sometimes 😂😂

The birds certainly were in full voice all weekend which was so beautiful to hear!

What a lovely relaxing place to camp...like you i would go for the veggie burgers and not the dirty old beef burgers...loved hearing the Norfolk accent..i am from Suffolk so could hear a few similarities....[ new sub ]

I so enjoyed that Jenny - the vibes were great. I mean a visit by the deer and a hare out in the field. Love that and I loved your camp site - wow lovely secluded spot in the midst of a a fantastic nature project. The food was good too. I reckon you'll be back there. Good going. Mark

It truly was such a beautiful site set in the heart of nature! I was so happy when we arrived as I wasn't expecting it to be as lovely as it was. It's a fantastic idea what they are doing, I really hope it succeeds (this is only their second year) I think you're right, we'll definitely return!
