Plini has a real sense of innocence. It has to be difficult for him to think about the business side of his career. Everyone is pimping their art and merch, and he feels 3 posts were enough. I get a very technically skilled shiny kind of vibe from his music. He works with such wonderful individuals . The prog community is really special in a way that "main stream" music souldn't without lawyers. So many great musicians are collaborating and even playing cover songs together to keep working and providing content with each other. It's a beautiful thing - and Plini is a prime example of an artist anyone would be honored to play on a track.
I don't necessarily agree. Being a genius musician AND humble is certainly a plus, but there are hundred of brilliant musicians out there who are plain egotistical/narcissistic. So the two things don't go together, they are very different skills, one dealing with creativity, the other with self-reflection.
I had a bit of a grin at "Sent it to my friends and they did actually listen". Sounds like he's had the same social media aggravation Ive had with social media where you spend a couple of weeks painstakingly writing and recording something, throwing it on soundcloud, posting it to facebook, and .... no one listens. Then a week later someone goes "Hey, you havent posted any music in months!", and realise to great despair that facebook never bothered to show your post to anyone. Sound like FB *des* show Plinis stuff to people. goddam. Maybe I should attach cat memes to my soundcloud posts. Its not like "Klesmer inspired cinematic prog" is gonna light the charts on fire without it lol

Genius and humility always come together, and Plini is a fine example of this.

Feel like I just discovered a rare gem in Plini. Hope the band tours the US in 2022.
