Very great tips, especially the first two.
For anyone thinking about doing this i will however make a fair warning to the comfort and looks, especially for the last one. When creating folds like these without actually removing material the bundled up material can be really itchy and especially with harder heavyweight denim it can really dig into your waist. For some this may not be an issue but I personally had to remove the tuck from the back.
Furthermore the tuck in the back significantly alters the yoke of the jeans and can in some cases cause it to bulge out creating a very unpleasant silhouette.
Thus I would personally recommend trying either method 1 or 2 at first and seeing if you really need to tuck it at the back as it creates the most issues.
But just try it for yourself if you don't end up liking it it's really just 1 thread to remove.
    Nice video!

It works, I would recommend if you’re fixing the back, to have the thread go do down a bit more, but it also depends on how loose the pants are but it definitely works

So I just tried method #3 with these super high rise jeans I have that I never wear since the waistband gapes open so much - to remove bulk I took off the label tag inside the band and the center belt loop. It worked so well, I am amazed! Now my waistband doesn't gape open, and my pants look so much more tailored to my body! Thanks for this cool tutorial 😊

@@melissahaslett hey there! I actually tore out my stitching and re-did it this morning. The first method in the video makes a much better fit (except i did it on the sides of the back instead of the sides of the front since that interferes with the small front pocket) and highly recommend this version over what i did in my original comment! Taking it in from the back seam (method 3) creates a small but noticeable poof of fabric at the bottom of the triangle. Taking it in from the sides doesn't create this problem. Good luck!
