    ...Well done,....I was given a fairly beat up older 1322...there was a .22 bullet stuck in the barrel and the muzzle was horribly beaten up.....I stripped it down and resealed it, put on the 1399 stock and chose a new 14" barrel rather than re-crown the original ....I find this combo works great, being not unwieldy as with an 18" barrel or longer....I prefer the 'speed' of open sights as I do a lot of ratting at a close distance....One thing, the front band can be opened up slightly to slide through a longer barrel,...I did this first, then opted for a 760 barrel band and found the cocking arm would contact it while pumping and, of course, move the barrel....I removed a lot of plastic off both the barrel band and the cocking arm to alleviate this....Just a fore warning....John (west coast,Can.)......( it now hits very hard and is very accurate)

      They come with rifled barrels from factory, that's why they only shoot pellets and not BBs. A longer barrel will offer more accuracy.

    It is similar to 2289G. My 2289 equipped with 3-9x40 scope can shoot .22 pellets around 490fps.

    Decent recommendations. I do wish you'd mentioned at what range you were shooting those targets. Or perhaps you did and I missed it, somehow. Definitely good advice for using as a teaching tool for others.

    Nice video mate. Have a stock one myself. Will likely add the stock myself and go for a weaver rail mod, so i can swap sights with the Umarex Buck Mark. Would say, i think it really did not like your pellets. As with the right pellet it can easely put hole on hole, this thing has nearly match pistol accuracy with the right pellet.
    I was quite surprised that it didn't provide more power with that transfer post upgrade tbh. I expected it to be quite a bit over 600fps with that upgrade.

    • @ThrHillSeeker
      @ThrHillSeeker  3 роки тому +3

      Thanks for commenting! Sounds like a good project. Yeah, the spitfire pellets are awful but they were all I had that day. Now we're coming out of lockdown I'll be able to get out and stock up on more JSBs. It's a pretty old gun and I don't know what the previous owner did (or failed to do) to it, so the valve might not be in great shape.

      @@ThrHillSeeker Indeed, it may be leaking a little, not too uncommon, mine does so too. From 6pumps up i always feel a slight rush of air over my trigger finger. That said i mostly just shoot 3-5 pumps. Plenty for my little range

    Well worth watching keep up the great work, Do you have any intention of changing the barrel in the future (not trying to spend your money). I would also like to see figures on the trigger spring, you may have seen a video with a trigger being fired by a feather Dangerous.

      Hi David, Thanks for your kind words. I've considered swapping out the barrel but I quite like how easily it can be reverted to a pistol. I might still pick one at some point. If I can get hold of trigger pull gauge, I'll get some measurements and make a video.

    I got confused at beginning when you showed the transfer port mod. You mentioned drilling out the orifice, but you wanted to remain stock. So, is the new transfer port the same O.D. ( outside diameter) as the original? Just the I.D. Is larger by way of a thinner wall on the new port insert?? Thanks

    Hi, I noticed you push the Bolt in real fast ,,, When I switched over to the steel breach, my pellet would get stuck before it goes into the chamber, does your steel breach give you that problem? It seems to get stuck on top of the screw ,that you said that you switched yours to an Allen head screw

      I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I've never shot a Benjamin Trail Mark 2 and I only really shoot paper targets. I can however say that, with the modifications I have done, the Crosman 1377 can achieve the maximum legal air pistol power (6 ftlb) and very good accuracy. Always remember the importance of close range and shot placement when hunting with air pistols.

    At 16 minutes, what is the number on the red dot sight u have there? Can it be used on the barrel?

      @ThrHillSeeker  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for commenting and for subscribing! Sorry, I'm not sure I fully understand your question. The red dot sight is branded Field Sports and isn't magnifying but has 4 brightness levels. The SMK scope is 4x20. Both can be mounted onto the barrel using the dovetail adapters shown at 3:27 but they tend to move around even when very tight. I hope this answers your question, let me know if not. Happy new year!

      Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately they don't ship to the UK. I might still get in uprated steel sear from gmac. PCP conversations for the 2240 are hard to come by here too because of the 6 ft.lb limit but I'll be on the look out for one!

    • @ThrHillSeeker
      @ThrHillSeeker  3 роки тому +3

      Hi, gmac custom parts sell 18" and 24" barrels for £40 and £44 respectively but it looks like they're out of stock right now. Their customer service is pretty good so you could email and ask when they might have some in. If you're in the UK, bare in mind that air rifle barrels have to be collected in person, sent to a RFD or posted in exchange for your old barrel.
