Wow, this is so inspiring! I'm also a second-year mechanical engineering student at Waterloo, and it's great to see how you balance your studies with extracurricular activities. Keep up the good work!
funny, well shot, well edited, relatable video (also got the impression you were considerate of not filming ppls faces who were in the bg, which is v nice)
4:45 that taste test would make Mark Weins proud. No doubt you have a career in comedy directing if engineering doesn't work out for you because this video was pure gold. By far the most electrifying man in Day in the Life entertainment.
4:12 - '98 grad here - I have not walked that hall for almost 30 years and is it sad to say I instantly recognized it and know exactly it is coming out???
Goated vlog man i really enjoyed watching it, im going into second year of Astrophysics in Ontariotech and you've inspired me to make something like this as well man!, Keep up the good work
I went to Fanshawe for Interactive Media (not too far away from K/W) just a year or two ago and even though it got really busy, it was nowhere as near as intense as the kind of math and logic you have to do everyday. Only second year and the kind of equations you have to work with are illegible to me. If you weren't as organized as you are with your notes all in separate folders, and the kind of great structure like the kind you employ for your video editing, you might really be cooked. Fortunately you seem to be on top of things. Good luck this year soldier, I'm sure you'll do just fine
I have friends that went to UWaterloo, and one of them did both an undergrad and masters in Electrical Engineering there. For him it was certainly a journey
Great video. As a father with a son in 2nd year I get a version where he actually has to spend his evenings studying for exams/quizzes, doing assignments, readings and reviewing what he learned. Is it me or do you just chill all night every night? I think we figured out your low marks issue?:) Thanks for posting.
what tablet/pen/ software are you using for your note taking????? i would absolutely love to know because its so sick lol. 2nd year mech eng. student here
Do grades actually matter in university? Obviously I mean you need a passing grade to move onto next year’s course but what if I get 2% higher than the passing grade. Do I still graduate the same way as everybody else?
whats the point of asking us if we can guess the similarities between 2 songs if you give us less than 5 seconds? if you're trying to highlight how hard it is, this isn't the way to do it
Thank you for the insight, it was very helpful!! I am very excited about studying aerospace/mechanical engineering in Canada or US countries and currently comparing the universities. I would love to get a job in the space or aviation sector, but as an international student I am aware that large tech companies might prefer citizens. Could you (or anyone that has relevant information) give some explanation and details if that is really so and how is the field of engineering for international students? I do know that it's huge, competitive, and challenging, but still I don't feel like I am aware enough about the competition and what type of job I might end up doing. If anyone could explain this to me, talk about their experience, university, and what type of work they do.. I would be very grateful!! Thank you in advance ;)
Ever think about how business students have it easier and will become management that makes equal or more pay as most engineers? :)) I realized this after graduating hahaa
We only throw shade at them cause they are likely to make good money, become managers, and didn't have to sacrifice hours of stress to graduate. I should have went into business .-. Already graduated, though.
subscribe if you wanna see a third and fourth year day in the life :)
How bad is Monday whiplash
Hope to be there by the fourth
Watching this takes me back lol. 2nd year is the chill term so enjoy it before 3rd year lol

An engineering student that does not become entirely symbiotic with his projects is insane
I love this!
