Hi Amy, and welcome to my channel. I so appreciate you taking the trouble to write this comment and for validating for me that you found value in this video. I and sure you are going to love your GreenStalks! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!💚
Hello. Watching you from Canada. I am very happy to see that your mix is very much like what I made myself this year to fill my brand new Greenstalk planters. I often wondered if I was going too heavy on the perlite, but you do it just like me. And I had great results. Thank you for your friendly video.
I am so glad I saw your video. I am a new Greenstalk owner and just yesterday I starting buying my ingredients to make my own potting mix for my Greenstalk. You answered many questions I had about what to add to create my mix. Thank you!
Thanks so much for leaving an appreciative comment! It means a lot, thank you! Good luck with your new GreenStalks, I'm sure you're going to love them!
@@GreenLove1 yes. Two leaf towers are just strawberries, then I have a couple that are just flowers, another is all collards etc another for peppers and green beans, etc. I am going to grow sweet potatoes in one of the 5-tier originals. I gave two to my daughter and son-in-law so my grand-babies can grow a few things.
@@debbyd5729 what color do you think you will get? I just got two more 5-tier originals in the new basket weave and maple color. I am eyeing the pink ones.
Thank you for producing this informative video. Your content is great and easy to follow. Please share how much money you spend on your potting mix recipe. Thank you.
You are so welcome. I have not done a cost analysis Because I usually buy in bulk to make all my various mixes ( seed starting mix, potting mix, cactus mix etc?) But I am positive that I'm saving a lot of money, since the GreenStalk does use a lot of soil, and if you skimp on the quality of the soil you will not have success with the GreenStalk...it is the single biggest factor for failure if not done right, in my opinion! Another option is to buy a cheaper quality potting mix, and then add compost, worm castings and definitely additional perlite to it!
Hello...Very informative video. I was about to buy Pro-Mix HP and it's expensive. I am going to give your recipe a try! Thanks! By the way...What brand of compost are you using here?
Thanks, my recipe worked out awesome, btw, plants grew really well this season in it. I use my homemade compost. But I am sure you can buy some good quality compost of you don't make it yourself.

That is so great to hear. Mine did quite well for me this year as well. Thanks for sharing your experience!!💚
My first Greenstalk arrives next week. I can't wait to try your potting mix recipe
Oh how exciting! You are going to have so much fun with it! Remember - don't skimp on the Perlite!!!
I LOVE my Greenstalks!! I just ordered two more in the new basketweave pattern and that brings my total to 14 Greenstalks.
Oh wow, That's a lot of GreenStalks. Do you have a strategy on how you plant them, like do you have themes for each GreenStalk or something?

Sorry..but what a hot good looking gardener.
Well done with your gardening 🌴
Aww, thanks!
If you add some water when you are combining your potting soil there won't be the dust.
Really good suggestion! I need to do that next time!
