Hey Folks, This video will help you fix your problem with your BMW E65 E66 if your A/C or Heater seems to turn on but it's not blowing strong. The problem is your blower motor which is located under the glove box on the passenger side. Hope this video helps:)
Title your video differently dude. This is for a bad blower motor and/or resistor. It has nothing to do with not blowing cold or hot!!!
@diysavecash do u need to cover up the area the covers the resistor and blower? I couldn’t get those hard to get screws out so I broke the cover off. Do you think I should replace it or am I good to just put the front cover back and be good?
Hey Chris, I have two issues with my 760li you might be able to help me with. Now as a preface I used to be a mechanic in a previous life LOL, so completing these repairs wont be a problem once I have an idea where to start. First problem, No heat out of the driver side front vents. AC works fine, but when I switch it over to heat NADA. Passenger side will burn you out of the car, just not the driver side. Now from what little information I can find there seems to be 2 heater cores, and of course 2 hot air diverter valves. Do you know of any dash diagrams showing where each diverter valve is? I've looked and looked and cant find one. Second problem; I've lost control/power to my passenger side windows, rear privacy screens and the rear power seats. Surprisingly the rear seat AC/heat works normally, and if I hit one of the memory positions the seat will move to that position. Now my gut is telling me there is a common ground somewhere that's giving me this problem, since these are separate systems and they all worked previously. (I already checked both fuse box's) Do you know where I can find a wiring diagram?
Had the same issue, it just stopped blowing at any setting, including front defrost. I thought i'd give it a try hoping, the bearing was stuck and just gave the thing a good couple of whacks with my fist on the housing, and what do you know, it actually sprung back to life :D Fixed it for free. But i will take it apart and clean it, see if i can disassemble it, clean the bearing and re-lube it, since it is otherwise quiet.
My hot air is Coming out at a Steady pace towards the windscreen when I'm driving, but I can't control it Speed/Temperature/Vent Direction, nothing.. Is this blower motor or just resistor related
I hv problem about the water valve no function at bmw e60/2doors
In all seriousness, how problematic is this car? You have loads of videos on how to fix things on this vehicle, but I'm not sure if this is just to show people how to fix things on the car, or if this is because the car always has problems and failures. I'm really considering getting one (2004 730LD with 125,000 miles for 4000 pounds) for the luxury and amenities it offers on this inside and I general like the look of it, but I can't afford to have my car always in the shop or having to pay the price of a car on just repairs for this car. So your honest opinion. Is this car worth it, or should I run away? Any advice would be appreciated.
Just buy both new so u won't have to worry about it again.
Chris, help!!! I just replaced my A/C blower motor and I'm still having the same problem. No cold air. I've even tried to service the refrigerant but the car won't accept it. Do you think it's the compressor?
My car just started to blow hot air from the ac when I turn it on. Once I drive the car and press on the gas until 4K rpms is strats to get cold. What could it be. The resistor, or the blower motor,or the compressor, or the belt who knows anything u can help me with?
So amazingly quiet and
glad to see you back!!!
Just a quick thanks for all your videos! :)
I wish I would have had this video a few months ago before I paid $800+ at the dealer! Thanks for doing these videos, I've saved a lot of money in the past doing repairs myself, with your help.
Hey Chris I was also riding home with my ac blowing then smelled a burned smell from vents then fan stopped blowing and hasn't blown since do you think it's the fan or resistor???
Good content. I recently did the resistor after watching a similar video. But I switched the old and new one back and forth, it worked the same. I can't tell much different of change in air coming thru turning on the max A/C button. But it blasts air to windshield when the windshield defrost button is clicked. So appears that both my resistor and blower motor is working. I left the new resistor in there though since I've every apart. But still, it's blowing intermittent hot/cold air, mostly hot. Any idea what might be the problem? Clutch working, ac charged.
Can I please have the link for the video you mentioned at the begining, coz I couldn't find it. Thank you so much.
Thanks you, my a/c fan is back, but I saw my resistor connector is black and burned a little, however, I installed it anyway and it worked, I may need to go to an electrician and change that connector thow, as it may damage the new one.
Can u let me know, where is located the water valve e60 2 door
I have a e39 2001 530i my left side button on my HVAC air conditioning is broken off my a/c blows really hot air could that be the reason I'm not getting cold air on the right side I have both red buttons and it says 60 degrees on the left it says 90
