I started wincing within 1 min of the start, when he demonstrated lifting the 1200.My back screamed "NO!" ,I did myself no good just carrying individual fork tubes from my CBR(took me over a week to recover & I'm still getting bruises appear 2 weeks later lol) The hardest part of offroading for me,was trying to concentrate on looking far enough ahead. Well done mate, thoroughly enjoyable video.RSMF
Mad respect. I'm just like you big bikes in the dirt are not my thing. With you repeating the tips I think I'll watch a few times and get them ingrained in my head.
I rode the exact same bike! #5 I loved the adventure experience and I can't wait to go back. You've done an excellent job telling it like it is here sir!
Think I'm going to have to book myself in for that sometime. Just goes to show what a difference proper tyres makes off road - I took my Ducati Multistrada 1200s on a green lane the other day on pure road tyres, slipped over on the first patch of wet mud :-/
The trick to turning the Tiger while standing up is slightly turning your leg into the bike on the outside leg and kneeing into the tank slightly keeping your weight on the outside peg. Keep your body more or less perpendicular to the ground.Use the pressure of your knee to push the bike down into the turn.
Very nice video & contents Lamb and thumbs up for accepting & enjoying to ride (and did good) a so-called "adventure" 240 kgs cow that steers like a 40'container... Ride Safe. V
That looks great fun! Doubt if 95% of owners of big ADVs would do any of that sort of really rough riding which means they've wasted their money in the same way most owners of litre+ hyper sports bikes have wasted their money unless they go on track several times per year.
Nice work sir! I think you did sterling work there, not easy this off-road lark on big bikes is it......mind you I hate the wet muddy stuff, think I'll stick to off-roading in Spain! Look forward to the next episode...
I did this with Triumph in Moab, Utah. Tiger 1200 XCA myself, in green. Loved it. But at the end of the day I was shocked with how exhausted I was. Riding a big bike like this is very different from my light little KTM 525 MXC.
Great video. I am looking to do this somewhen. The thing is be it the tiger or the gs. They are big heavy bikes to be doing this on. Saying that I'm a large chap and having tried both the gs and explorer gen 1. I bought the explorer. Saying that I wouldn't want to take mine off road as that's not what I bought it for. Look forward to the next part regards Thomas
That was very enjoyable although I think the bike's were to big for the terrain . Perhaps something a little smaller. Loved the commentary what a great day out thank you.
Looks a lot like where the dawn to dusk enduro is held. Or as wet as it was when I did it anyway lol. I think Nick was involved in the running of that also 🤔
Yes absolutely, was invited to Croft for a Bennett & Superbike school training day but was too late notice and couldn't make it. Done the Ady Smith Enduro school already 👍
I'm still a bit mystified by the need for a 1200 cc adventure bike. It seems to me the 800 does everything you could possibly need and it's lighter and easier to control. Maybe I just need to spend more time on a 1200 cc bike to really understand this.
Watching this reminds me of a ninja god who fell off in front of hundreds ..in the road ....just yards away from The Ace Cafe...a classic piece of footage..
Wow that was awesome might give that a try what like price and is that all on one day or over a couple of days it would be great to compare my Tiger 800 2017 model with the new Tiger 800 2018 model by haven’t had my Tiger probably off road just some farm dirt roads
frankly speaking looks like they didn't teach you how to handle the bike in a curve while standing on the pegs, that's why you feel so unconfindent while riding. Once you learn the technique you'll never ride again seated.... BTW great video amazing place thumbs up to you and Triumph for doing this incredible event
There was no was I was risking wrists and collar bones on those big Tigers, apparently 248kg fuelled! Little Scrambler held up nicely enough Nice to meet you too! 👍
Oh I didn't know you was there or didn't realise it was you! I found the 1200 tough and after dropping it twice doing the skids (next vid) I stuck with the trusty 800 😂
Lamb Chop Rides one guy in your group (I won’t shame him!) dropped it nine times! I’m the twat in the blue/white suit at the start of the outdoor briefing 👍
I dont know about others.. But I feel bad because I was wanting you to crash LOL.I dropped my R1 once.. Took me 10 mins to get it up. That guy is like. " Just hold it here and here. Done "
Honestly... none of these bikes should really be used for this type of driving. The "off-road" feature/marketing on these bikes is really just a farce. There are plenty of bikes designed to drive on terrain like this. This type of riding on these bikes will do nothing but damage these bikes. Get a proper Enduro bike. A Tiger 1200 is really ridiculous for this.

Wow that looks fun! Thank you Chops for the entertaining commentary.
Thank you sir. I just found my next vacation trip
Just completed the course, and I honestly can say enough how amazing it was!
Good Steve isn't it, how was the course wet and slippy or dried out a bit?
I rode the exact same bike! #5 I loved the adventure experience and I can't wait to go back. You've done an excellent job telling it like it is here sir!
Thanks Leigh, Im just editing part 2 now so should be up in a couple of days. Some Scrambler action and some spills included :-)
Great vid Chops. Thanks for sharing.
I am planning on doing this sooner rather than later, so thanks for sharing.
Now that looks like a workout but a whole lot of fun 👍🏻
Loved that Chops, a great way to improve bike skills.

Looks a lot like where the dawn to dusk enduro is held. Or as wet as it was when I did it anyway lol. I think Nick was involved in the running of that also 🤔
Excellent vlog! .... I think we need a 150 kilo bike class - maybe 600cc.
You got a new sub from France. Great job 👍🏻😀
I really miss scenery of wales.... recently i want to buy tiger800 xca...☺️
Someday hope riding on there....
If your doing things like this maybe next you could do the Ron haslam race day and the mick extence experience
Yes absolutely, was invited to Croft for a Bennett & Superbike school training day but was too late notice and couldn't make it. Done the Ady Smith Enduro school already 👍
Yes the Ron track day would be the nuts.
I've already done the Ron day on the cbr600rr it actually caused me to buy a cbr600f as a track bike it really instillz you with confidence
The first white bike . Is it 1200 XCA / XCX ?
What level course did you do?
Great stuff.
Knees bent. Then immediately lifts it with his back. Lol
Does the 1200 XCA produce a lot of heat to the legs ?
Great video, nice riding skills. I would have dropped that bike a hundred times already right at the beginning.
Hats off Sir !
what goggles are those, I cant seem to find any that fit my icon variant

Well done Chops! That looked really slippery wouldn’t mind that in the dry but the wet.....😲So you are officially a riding GOD!🤪👏👍🏻
Haha blimey! I'm saving and printing off your comment to hang on the wall and remind you next time your giving me stick 😂😂
Watching this reminds me of a ninja god who fell off in front of hundreds ..in the road ....just yards away from The Ace Cafe...a classic piece of footage..

Great work man! Top of the line upload:)
Did you jump on the scrambler?
Thanks, Yes had a good go on that, in the part 2 vid coming later 👍
Wow that was awesome might give that a try what like price and is that all on one day or over a couple of days it would be great to compare my Tiger 800 2017 model with the new Tiger 800 2018 model by haven’t had my Tiger probably off road just some farm dirt roads
Well worth trying Gavin if you want to test out the Tiger or Scrambler off-road. £300 really isnt a lot of money for what your getting out of it.
So next, we want to see chops does Morocco, grate upload 👊😃
