This is why I think of you as authentically vintage. Nothing is wasted, you are so artistic and creative and you have such patience. It is like taking a trip back in time following you around your home. I like the idea of you making a rug to include you and all your larger pets past and present. You are at one with all your vintage equipment, more so than some modern technology I would say. As usual your video is a lovely historical insight. You give all to your projects and you expose yourself to the world and you come across so well.

Thank you so much Ian! You are right. I was very happy working out the 1940s devices, far far far less happy struggling with technology and video editing! I hope that in future someone else will treasure all these vintage needlecraft devices. I fear they will end up discarded. Still all I can do is keep them safe for now. I’m practically running a home for rescue vintage sewing equipment and rescue dogs! Like you looking after people with difficulties and your rescue cats. We understand each other!

How wonderful to find out that someone else has one too (and is keeping it safe!) I think these tools are objects of beauty in their own right. I can see it would make the rug making faster (though they are rather more brutal on the hessian than using the hand tool!) Thank you for watching!

Ah thank you! I always feel super self conscious about my interiors because they’re the opposite of what’s fashionable now! Cottage maximalism is what I feel at home with though. Bring on the 1930s painted china, the hat pin holders and the rag rugs! (My family take photos, show each other and laugh! Like you I was always a natural collector of pretty things, I can’t help myself). 💗🌸

You are such an artist 🎨 the designs on your rugs are incredible! Really enjoyed this, it's a craft we all know about but only a few actually practice. Love them ❤❤❤ As for the Staffordshire dogs, whilst the ornaments aren't quite 'me' I would most definitely give your rug house room any day! Thank you very much Rowan 💕 Yes, I got into a mess with my video editing. I filmed so much in little bits out of order that I ended up editing some parts twice and losing others completely 🙄 Now there are new resolutions to be more organised in my process. This is actually quite tricky when filming around work in the few hours of daylight available to me 😼 I’ve already started designing my Miss Moon rug (that footage is lost somewhere in the depths of my phone or accidentally deleted!) Hope you’re not feeling as sleepy as me today. Luckily I’m off work because the weather has kept the powers that be away from their offices. The dogs were livid about the disruption to their sleep, they’re usually paws up and snoring by 11! 😆💗💗💐

The tech and editing side of having your channel is a real nightmare. And, I would say, 'creatives' (flamboyant influencers, like yourself 😌 of course) do not lend themselves well to such tasks. In my head it's a sunny place filled with colour, nature, artsy fartsy design, crochet, music and the like, fah la la !! Then seeps in the gloomy fog and leaden skies of an unsavoury challenge such as emails, 'fill this in online' 😫 sort out banks, interest rates, contact service providers, ring the council, renew the telly licence blah blah!

@@rowanhughes8682 It’s so true! Getting the car serviced, the booking, the taking it in, is somehow casting a long shadow over my life! I would help myself by actually doing it rather than just dreading it. So boring and stressful at the same time. Like video editing (apparently some people enjoy it???) and motorway driving (again, someone … admittedly a man … told me he enjoyed that).
