It is called the "Tante Ju" or Aunt Ju. My grandfather, who recently passed away, piloted one of those in ww2. At the end of the war, he managed to avoid being captured or more likely being shot by the Yankees by making his last flight with the Ju under heavy enemy fire, saving his and the life of 5 other soldiers. I still have his army butter knife he used to cut the rope to get the plane loose. He used that knife the whole rest of his life every morning to butter his bread. On his 90th birthday, we gifted him a flight in an original, real Ju 52. He was so happy to be back with his baby and crying at the same time.

The little propeller is just a generator in case your engines or alternators fail. If your alternators are wrecked you'll have no spark but that mini prop drives a generator by allowing the airflow to spin it. It's basically a pinwheel, strapped to a generator, to provide electricity in case you have no other way to generate it. They're very common on commercial passenger planes.

hell yeah! Low tier Italy is where it's at, most don't know.... You should take the AB41, or AB42 out and DRIVE THEM BACKWARDS. they go almost as fast backwards, and are stupidly survivable in head on fights (cuz the engine.) I find the AB41 easier to get kills with since it's potato tier, and most tanks cant pen the enginge compartment. You can get 2-3 kills per clip of cannon ammo. I usually run a AB41, an AS 42, and then the Italian Ju87 and S.81. A perfect lineup for some GroundRB fun.
Back in the day (the beginning of Warthunder that is...) it was an excellent low tier Bomber. Flying high it was almost invincible and had lot´s of machine guns for protection. Later it became impossible to play it since it´s super easy to shoot down...
With the realiseation tour joking it's three propellers the small one on the side of the fusalage is a alternate styyle 9f airspeed indicator that avoids needing a air preasure& humidity table to figure out airspeed. Not used on warplanes usually as it creats a bit of drag.
