Thanks Alicia! I read an overview of that episode, and yes, I think this could very well happen with AI. Also, check out my AI podcast a few episodes back. I go into pretty good detail about it.

Super helpful! Thanks for sharing! For meats, make sure you check the local laws, on the east coast the meat must be butchered at a licensed facility

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed my podcast. Yes, good point. Meat and dairy products get iffy, so always check with local laws and regulations. I am sure the local farmers market should have some insight.

Hey I appreciate you trying to help steer people in a positive direction, and all the content I saw on your channel seems to be legit and well-made; I do have to point out, though, that my gf and I were very interested in what "off-the-grid" job opportunities might look like, and I swear I'm not trying to troll you or simply criticize for criticism's sake, we just both were disappointed that a job at a campground seemed to be the only off-the-grid job you mentioned...in fact, we were shocked that local government jobs like sheriff and U.S. Government jobs such as Postal Agent and Border Patrol Agent made your list... not only are they not off the grid, they are the very fabric of the grid! That having been said, thanks for making quality content...we thought you would be open to hearing constructive criticism, and we sincerely wish you success in the future and hope you continue to create quality content. Cheers!

Hello and thanks for your comment! I get what you're saying. It's been a while since I've made this video, and if I recall I had it organized into three segments, one for jobs, one for small business ideas, and one for online income ideas. I'm pretty sure I listed out some good off grid business ideas like hauling trash, water, earthworks, farmers market, raising meat, etc that are all very off grid friendly. However, I will tell you, and this is from experience, that having a 100% off the grid job that will actually support the homestead is extremely limited. You have to be connected to the grid to make money unless you plan to sling tomatoes and eggs on a roadside stand every weekend, which will not support a homestead. Now there's a few ways to approach this. One is to save up enough money and go onto the homestead believing those savings will pull you through for years which that typically doesn't work out. I've known people that have done this and end up selling their homestead. I've known people that cut their expenses to extreme minimums and only do cash business models and basically live extremely meagerly to be fully off the grid. And I know people that work regular jobs and find property close to their work and build up their homestead over time. And that model seems to work out good. I also know homesteaders that have built good businesses like handymen, mechanics, and even real estate agents that live off grid and they do pretty good too. So if you are wanting to live and breathe off grid living including having an off grid job you can absolutely go for it, but you will find some serious challenges are in your path, which it's up to you if you want to battle those challenges. For me, I like to have a happy medium between being off grid but also having a decent income so I can do the things I want and need to. It's all about finding a balance.
