Another coach has been fired after having a bad relationship with Trae Young. Many people are calling him a coach killer but there’s a lot more to this story. Trae’s actions are worse than reported but he’s not the only thing wrong with the Atlanta Hawks.

It was actually Trae that wanted the hawks to trade for Dejounte and if you’ve seen any videos with Trae and Dejounte, they are really good friends off the court. although Trae might not be the most mature, (even though he’s only 24) Dejounte likes playing with Trae

I would have never brought Murray on the team for the simple fact of his past. Those things creep into the behavior of these, what you can call, still kids during this time of their lives, and it usually leads a team downward. (see Ben Simmons)

Hawks superfan, been following this super deeply, yes Trae hasn't been perfect but a lot of the blame (at least recently) goes to McMillan for poor coaching, rotations, and overall gameplans. We'll see what happens with Quin Snyder, I have a lot of optimism as he's ACTUALLY a good NBA coach (unlike Lloyd and Nate), and we'll see this time what happens with Trae Young.

Hawks fan as well and I have the same take. People are acting like Trae got Phil Jackson and Pat Riley fired. I was out on Nate when we lost to the Nets because he did not call time out when we were down two with 6-7 seconds left and let DJM sprint down the court and take a contested 3.

I am also a hawks fan, haven’t missed a game in 9 years. And respectfully this guy has NO CLUE what he’s talking about. John Collins has been a diva this season. Lowest rebound totals of his career, lowest defensive rating since his rookie year, lowest shooting percentages of his career. He’s been lazy on the floor and obviously lazy in his work. If his shooting is that bad.

Any Hawks fan that watches games will tell you Nate cooked up nothing on the sideline so the firing was justified and not surprising. that management structure reminds me of my last job I worked at. The owner made his son the manager of our branch & he had absolutely zero experience in the underground utilities section of plumbing. Within 6 months of him taking over, we ran out of material, he cost is 100,000$ jobs & potentially million dollar jobs due to his lack of business sense for the kind of work we do. We had an outside salesman who I hated & had to deal with every day, but the dude had 30+ years experience in the position & he was kind of our manager before the son took over & we were doing 2$ million+ jobs every year. You can say the covid shit had an impact on us, but the sons reluctance to spend money to bring in material during a time there was a serious shortage was a major contributing factor to why we struggled so much.
Point is, don't appoint your kid to a position he has no fucking clue how to run. Make him a fellow employee & make him earn that spot.

I'm an Englishman been watching the NBA since the 80s but seems in the last 20 years the players are bigger than the teams and the media feed this notion. One player has never won the championship.
If you belittle the job of the coach then he has every right to leave your ass on the bench. and rather than moan you should be doing everything you can to get back in the team the winning and loosing stops with the coach he needs the last say.
The players have far to much power these days. The coach hurt my feelings I want a trade, I don't want to be here anymore I want a trade, my friends playing over there and I want to be with him I want a trade,
You sign a contract and get paid big money earn it why these "stars" get a pass is beyond me.

Yeah, another outsider that’s overblowing the situation. Trae for sure can improve in some leadership areas, but you can’t force a guy to be the all encompassing leader just because he’s your best player. Lloyd Pierce was never a good coach and Nate McMillian was “ok” but never looked at as a great coach. Quinn Snyder is a very respected coach in the league and one of the better ones so if it doesn’t work out there, then there might be action on Trade Trae front. Also, it is apparent that a lot of outside players hate Trae. A guy that averages 27 and 10 and at least is in the playoff discussion doesn’t make the All Star team. Anyway, point is, Hawks have never had a great coach till now (unlike Luka) and will be interesting to see how they mesh.
