I just got my outlier barrel and can’t wait to mount it up and get to the range! For the price you should be able to deal with an upside down cartridge engraving!
My bergara doesn’t shoot and it’s a 6.5 CM. I’ve about shot out the barrel trying to find a hand load for it, but I can’t get better than 1.5MOA. I ordered an outlier barrel back in mid November for it, but still waiting for it to ship. It’s good to see they shoot. Thanks for the video!
Great video, nice to see good products coming out at a reasonable price. I am surprised to hear anyone say that bergaras don’t shoot. I have two and they both shoot very good.
Great vid. Good shooting barrel. I ordered 4 barrels during the sale. They’ll all go on solus actions and mdt stocks. Overlap, but something to play with. 6mm Creed, 243, 7-08, and 7mm PRC. Added to my 25 creed, 25 prc, 6.5 creed, and 6.5 prc. Will give me a lot to play with this year. Thanks for the great content and keep it coming.
Nice, I picked up a 16" 7-08 barrel from them a year or so ago. Mine was nitride finished and the bore was extremely dirty. 40 some patches in and I was still getting an orange residue out of it. I did some break in with cheap factory ammo and it was slightly over MOA. I have some hand loads worked up to try when the weather breaks. I'd like to try your last load there in my Sako S20, it has been amazing so far.
I just got mine yesterday. First 6.5 PRC or magnum cartridge for me ever, so my $200 barrel is going to cost me another $550 roughly for brass, bullets, dies, bolt face… I haven’t even thought about a muzzle brake. This is my first true bull barrel. 😂
I cant believe the guys obsessing over the caliber designation stuff. I am way more interested in how a rifle shoots, and this one is going to be a shooter. It apparently likes the hotter loads, and after about 50 rounds and a good cleaning shoud be a bugholer!
First thing I see is a caliber designation is upside down so no sale! My text remaining even after I hit send, which means UA-cam is monitoring what I am saying what am I saying wrong UA-cam?
I mean, it’s just a hunk of stainless with a hole drilled through the center. As someone who workers in the field, I can tell you they’re not that expensive to make haha
I ordered mine earlier this month and e-mailed them after a couple weeks. I was told it's about a 4 week lead time to make a barrel, then another 4 weeks for nitriding (which I also ordered). I'm guessing they're getting tons of orders and honestly, it's ok cause I probably wouldn't be able to shoot it until it gets warmer here in Wisconsin anyway.
I ordered mine on November 13th with the nitride and stainless fluting options. I still haven’t received any shipping info….. I reached out 2 weeks ago and they said it was waiting to get fluted…. They gave me an estimate of 1-2 weeks…. Hope it’s worth the wait!
For shits and giggles, I ordered a 16" 6.5 creedmoor barrel after watching Mountains, Mullets, Merica's vid on his 16" 6.5 creed. I believe he shot it with decent success out to 1200 yards.
Dang. I’d say you got way more than your money’s worth. Would like to see bore scope, and how well you can get it to shoot after break in and load development.
Excellent content! Questions; Do you think could you spot impacts consistently with this 6.5PRC rifle and a properly loaded bipod given the weight of the rifle? Considering to build one for long range woodchucks hunting but also would like to multipurpose it for NRL Hunter. I respect your opinion because I know you shoot a lot of different stuff!
@@chasebricker639 this rifle weighs over 25# with the can and the weight it’s very reasonable for recoil. I would say I wouldn’t have a problem spotting impacts with this set up. I’d say it’s very similarly to 6.5 creed.
The caliber engraving, will be in a different place every time. If I would have been the gunsmith that built it. I would have timed the rotation, to get it where it should be. It really doesn't bother me being off. It's just looks not performance
@@CodyCarlson-d5t yes because of the barrel nut and tolerance from action to action the engraving is probably going to vary. I couldn’t care less about the engraving being upside down.
Im always dubious about going for a thick contour barrel then potentionally ruining the accuracy with a little threaded muzzle like 1/2 x 28 it just seems silly especially for buttoned rifling.
@@Lethal_Intent ...ime,(in my experiences), it sure as hell does, & I have been using about a dozen clamp-ons, 2 different brands, with zero problems, so when I can go no threads any more I do,.....quality air gauges don't lie.....

The 6.5PRC caliber designation landing perfectly upside down on the barrel would drive me nuts. 😂

Awesome. Great video and will be an affordable option for shooting steel

Holy cow. That thing might actually shoot when it settles and you get a load worked up. $200 Who would've thunk it ?

How are they making the at this price? Are they made overseas? Not that it really matters just boggles mind a bit.
