Cool idea for the little truck. Mine just came a few days ago. I’ve been impressed with how well made it is. The neighbor kid hit mine on her bike! The wheel flew off and to my surprise it just snapped right in and all was well. Really happy with it.
It sure BOUNCES like a WPL. I thought about getting one. Then: *360 motor w/ 2 sp * better battery *40 A ESC *Body Lift *Bigger, better tires * Wheel weights * Metal Driveshaft * Custom paint *Locked diff(hot glue) *El Cheapo TX-RX 3-CH Turbo Racing or equiv * coil-over oil-filled shocks * AND? I dunno. What- ever is laying around, or is cheap. Ive found that I've upgraded and modded all my $30-40 WPLs with about $75 or more in parts and mods!!! Crazy, right?
first day i got it the gears on the motor stripped out, so i said f it and bought the metal gear upgrade.. i also started printing the wide body and its looking real neat, so i cant wait for the parts to come in.
I love that look with the bigger black wheels. Id love one of these like you fixed it. I considered 4x4 even if it was converted to full leaf springs, but not really lifted. It looks good at that size and the leafs don't lift it that much but are still scale work truck for parts and all. Think it would be cool lowered too. Just cut into the bed for the street tires to poke through (most rats aren't using the beds anyways) and the former wheel flaps below could be cut with the bed section to make actual wheel wells in the bed. Could be a funny drift truck that way also. I don't have a house so no drift areas for me, so I'd lean towards the offroad work truck (not crawler) like this look.. just 4x4
Actually as skinny as you are you could probably fit in them comfortably, a chiropractor I used to see was over 6' tall and rather skinny he used one to plow snow at his office and to get back and for to work instead of driving his 3/4 ton truck everywhere. And they hold their value because they will do all of the work a side by side will at half the cost with an enclosed cab, heater and AC. I've seen people throw side by side tires on them and use them on farms or dairies out her in Idaho. The more I see of this little truck I really kind of want one, just for the silly of it.
These tunes make me feel like I should be rolling, it's great! lol I haven't looked into them, and I'm not really into them, but it would be sweet to see you deck it all out. A drifter out of it sounds cool.
I put a cheap Surpass 2430 brushless motor and the smallest ESC i have(Castle Sidewinder Micro 2, total overkill) in mine and some 3d printed tires(you can find the files on WPLs website) and it is a blast and a half indoors.
This model has a lot of accessories etc. Take a doubt Do you have any rear axle that you can exchange for one that is unlocked? Because this is the rear wheels blok wheel 🇧🇷
Is it really just a WPL? But bigger? Im not dogging WPL, I have 2 C14s, 2 C24s, a B16 6 X 6, or 14 ? The tilt cab cargo truck, have the Fayee F104 HEMMTT, and JJRC Osh Kosh are a Ural 6 X 6 , so I like em. I upgraded all with the 360 motor and 2-sp trans. and light kit. The Ural i also added a Heng Long smoke generator too. But, is this D12 a semi upgraded regular chassis? Stock upgrade parts.?
How sharp does your steering on that thing go from Factory are same different videos with different reviews I'm curious to know if your controller has that adjustment to go really sharp or not too sharp for the drifting purposes
Bet putting one or two tf2 leafs in the back should give it more rear travel and probably plush. Bet on metal blade of a leaf rake would make a good lead spring.
Look up those little trucks in india ..they convert them into makeshift Van's they paint them with all kinds of loud colors and use corrugated tin to box in the beach..dingle balls across the windshield with big goofy chrome bumpers and grills ..I guess you can call em indian rat rods lol
You have to consider the import cost of rare(never sold in US market) vintage 1:1 vehicles. Restrictions on import cars to the USA have relaxed in recent years, and the cost to purchase in the origin country can be quite favorable for USD buyers, but container costs for a car are relatively fixed to the volume it takes up, whether your shipping a Kei or a Ferrari. Insurance costs will vary😎
Love the oddball ones Ampro do a lot of 3D printed trim parts to give it a more scale look I watched his video when he was adding them. I have had a few 1-1 of these a pickup and a van the pickup got a engine upgrade s it was a 4x4 but lacked the power for some fun off-road so got a V6 fitted and suspension upgrades with some chunky tyres, good fun until I rolled it, yep the roll cage was still under construction not fitted at the time lol. I think it would be fun to build it for off-road maybe also go four wheel drive a lot of fun I think. Maybe a Pre-Runner build lol.
My family in WV have one of thease and its 4wd from the factory. Its its front and leaf spring rear. I got alot of projects right now but that one is soon on my list
If you can figure out how to make that thing do about 40 mile an hour with mostly Factory Parts while Factory Motor and drivetrain the computer thingy and the battery can be upgraded but people are going for the world record of how fast they can make that motor and drivetrain go with upgraded tires course the factory ones aren't cool but yeah there's a whole thing on it make it go fast and put a hoonigan sticker on it
Excelente unboxing de este coche. Quedaron muy bien los neumáticos, a esperar a ver que se le ocurre para modificarlo y hacerlo especial, como ya nos tiene acostumbrados, respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.
I do like this setup it really looks cool honestly but if you go on the hoonigan channel somewhere you will see and identical truck owned by a guy I can't remember his name he is an Asian dude he has one of those trucks it has a rotary engine in it and it is crazy fast well for doing burnouts and stuff I don't know about Top Speed but the motor is pretty much under the seat there is only a little bit of material saving you from it if it happens to malfunction and spit all of its internal pieces out at high-speed you're going to have a holy bum LOL
Great video and explanation...I’ve just ordered one of these (about £20 cheaper than the original price when these first came out not too long ago, so kind of happy with that lol). I want to do this mod as, though the stock look is brilliant, though born in the west my family is from Asia where especially when going out into rural areas the roads aren’t as good quite a few folks chuck on a set of off road tyres...mainly for looks I’m sure but also up to a point for actual benefits when the dusty dirt tracks get water logged and become mud tracks etc....so I’ll be doing this mod for sure 👍👏👏👏 These vehicles are the work horses in Asia (outside of bigger vans such as Toyota Hiaces etc which are the Asian equivalent of Ford Transit vans in the UK)..roads aren’t as big or wide as in America / Canada, and being closer to Japan / South Korea explains why there are more Japanese brands than American /European brands....additionally, cost of petrol (gas to you guys lol) is expensive by comparison so having v8 gas guzzlers just isn’t cost effective for what is basically a tool to carry and deliver stuff. also they can be fixed at a 1/4 of the price of their bigger American and even European equivalents. I’m guessing in the States they’re popular because of these reasons too...they don’t take up nearly as much space, quite easy and cheap to fix if things go wrong...and of course there has always been folks into ‘smaller’ kei style vehicles ...if there aren’t many around in the first place, then the market prices stay high as there will always be demand.
🏴🇬🇧☝️yeh cool interesting what you can do to it ?. A lot of guys in the uk arc seen doin stuff with these my friend, can’t wait to watch you☝️🤠🤠 have you watched my videos 🙏🤠there about £50 pound here, stay safe and well my friend ☝️Dave in Cornwall 🏄🏻♂️🤙
Your scale workshop is amazing , and your attention to detail when explaining things is great you make people feel welcome in your garage
You can ues the fenders in the rear for tubs in the bed !
Cool idea for the little truck. Mine just came a few days ago. I’ve been impressed with how well made it is. The neighbor kid hit mine on her bike! The wheel flew off and to my surprise it just snapped right in and all was well. Really happy with it.
I just got one ro I definitely see why everyone likes them not bad out of the box and so many options for upgrades
They have a body kit that makes it look even better. You really wouldn't have to lower it. I've been wanting to get one. Now I probably will
It sure BOUNCES like a WPL. I thought about getting one. Then:

Ive found that I've upgraded and modded all my $30-40 WPLs with about $75 or more in parts and mods!!! Crazy, right?
the s. and t. rate buttons on the transmitter add more steering angle and motor speed
first day i got it the gears on the motor stripped out, so i said f it and bought the metal gear upgrade.. i also started printing the wide body and its looking real neat, so i cant wait for the parts to come in.
LOVE my WPLs!!!! I have like 10 of them. All kit form!
I have the little c24 i use it as a shelf queen to display my star wars figures lol
You can use tiny solar panels on these.
I love that look with the bigger black wheels. Id love one of these like you fixed it. I considered 4x4 even if it was converted to full leaf springs, but not really lifted. WPL! The brand that got me back into my RC hobby!
I was hoping that you would get one so I could see what you would do with it.
I’ve always wanted to take a Kei van and do a mini overlander. If they offer a van version I would do just that.
Can 3d print a van conversion for it
Actually as skinny as you are you could probably fit in them comfortably, a chiropractor I used to see was over 6' tall and rather skinny he used one to plow snow at his office and to get back and for to work instead of driving his 3/4 ton truck everywhere. Love these little trucks. i have a couple ive turned into drift trucks. One has a c24 body!
I got one of the 6x6 wpl trucks, they look great but break easy. Drive shafts were the weak point on mine.
These tunes make me feel like I should be rolling, it's great! lol I haven't looked into them, and I'm not really into them, but it would be sweet to see you deck it all out. A drifter out of it sounds cool.

ok, got new metal upgraded axle and driveshaft installed. now the frame broke where the leaf spring screws to the frame. any ideas ?
Ouch. That sucks. They make a full metal frame for it. Or you could just gorilla glue it back together for now.
@@RCeveryday ok. thanks
Camel trophy , Dakar !
This model has a lot of accessories etc.
Take a doubt Do you have any rear axle that you can exchange for one that is unlocked?
Because this is the rear wheels blok wheel

I havent seen any unlocked axles for these, I bought one of those metal upgrade ones to put in but its locked as well.
@@RCeveryday It's ok my friend thanks for your tention, success for you

It has a little adjustment on the controller. But it doesn’t have a whole lot of angle
Rat rod and weather it with v8 engine in back !!!love all your creations
I’m putting my D12 body on a mini buggy chassis, wish me luck. It would be sweet to see you do a drift D12 project.
Love your channel man! That’s a cool little truck
Hoonigan's pit truck project?
very good experiment
still waiting on parts for mine to fix damage from shipping. ordered truck a month and a half ago. still havent got to run it. lol
Bet putting one or two tf2 leafs in the back should give it more rear travel and probably plush. Bet on metal blade of a leaf rake would make a good lead spring.
You can't beat 3 extra batteries, that's a nice score 👍👍
Seems like a good platform for Tow Truck or Unimog/Caravan build.
With a sound system in the back 🤘
Look up those little trucks in india ..they convert them into makeshift Van's they paint them with all kinds of loud colors and use corrugated tin to box in the beach..dingle balls across the windshield with big goofy chrome bumpers and grills ..I guess you can call em indian rat rods lol
Aint it 12th scale?
Id say add a lift to it and maybe upgrade the motor?

Okay now I see it looks cool. How would a cc01 chassis fit under it?
It’s still too small for a cc01
where can i buy those wheels and tires, i need to know please
From the WPL website, or Banggood or aliexpress
keep it as it is but make a hydraulic crane for it behind the cab and equip it with a gas tube rack and a generator welder. =)
May i know wheel diameter the new tire?
Review the wpl c 34 km
My family in WV have one of thease and its 4wd from the factory. Its its front and leaf spring rear. I got alot of projects right now but that one is soon on my list
Nice video bro
You should check out MN's latest model the mn86k/ks and wpls c34/C44KM.
Nice brother!
Drivetrain swap 4wd, electronic upgrade, trail rig or full stretched axle rock crawler
Where did u get those tyres from?
They are off of the wpl mini crawler with the toyota body.
any idea why my D12 runs backwards when it should be going forwards ?
Reverse settings on the the controller ?
@@RCeveryday where is that on the controller ? i couldn't find any
Very cool mate
I might have to get one now !!!!😊
Idk man maybe rotate the axle to under the leaf springs and then go from there for the shop hauler! Definitely upgrade the electronics.
That actually is pretty cool! I like it :)
I was bored on eBay the other day and almost bought one of these. Ordered a wpl b24 kit instead
