I'm originally from TN, but in GA about 25 years ago while driving one of my 64s down the highway the left axle broke and the back wheel was just bouncing around in the wheel well and ground off a 2 inch section of my brakes. Had to weld a dent puller to the axle to get it out and had to replace the whole brake assembly
I'm glad u reinforce the center front and back cross member .lot of people don't realize it could cave in the middle.from going up and down all the time.
i like the y bone upper, the hydro cars that still have the pan hard bar looks so fuckin stupid with the shit shifted to one side at lock up
Bottom line; how much do hydros cost today? Never had them, always wanted them. What price range am I looking at?

I got a question homie I have three pumps one double piston pump and two regular pumps how do I setup my double piston to the front and the other two to the back.. how many dumps do I need as while as batteries for front back side to side and 3 wheel motion

Hey nice setup. Im building my first lowrider using my 1997 Ford F150 4x4 ext cab. I have 2 question. 1. I want to do a nice 3 wheel but it has leaf spring in rear what is the largest cylinder i can get without having to change anything i was thinking 20 inch telescoping chain bridged at 16 inches for one button 3 wheel in the rear and 10 inch in the front 2. What size wheels do you recommend I want it to look good and not too small the factory wheel wells are very large. also im getting the fat cylinders just to be safe also. Any help would be appreciated.
Larry Lewis unfortunately man I can't help much there, haven't done a f150 4x4 before. I know most trucks with leaf springs don't use more than 14s because any more than that you could snap the leafs. Hard to say really since I haven't done one before. Mostly doing setups on old school low lows. Do some research, look up others that have done it and what to expect.
ive been looking cant seem to find any info at all lol. I know that i can add 4-6 inch drop spindles and which would add and extra 4-6 inches in high. And what size rims do you recommend

What's the differences between skinny and fat cylinders.
Fat cylinders have a larger circumference than the skinnies. Also they have 1/2 inch ports instead of 3/8

justin rigdon he got his from eBay believe it or not.
welding the axle housein tubes to the pumpkin they wont pull out.....some rears were welded some were just press in......they didnt design these cars 50 yrs ago to take the stress of switches hell prob never fig they be here 50 yrs later either......a lil forward thinking saves a lot in the end......my opinion.....if your already welding and braceing the trailing arms spring pockets frame ect and you DONT weld the axle tubes and brace the rear as well either your asking for it to break or your a idiot.....like washing the dishes with no soap....makes no since.....do it all or dont do it.....understandable stuff can and will break but preventive forward planin is a wonderful thing......

Steven Hagebusch very true, not seen in videos that the axel has been changed out to a Ford 9 and reinforced. Good points tho.
