    I was about 50-100 miles north of you at a fly-in cabin when you filmed this I bet. I flew out of ear falls and not red lake though. Fishing got tougher after the big winds moved through and churned the lake. We were on Meandrine Lake.

    Jeremy, you are so knowledgeable on mushrooms. How long have to studied about them. In Arkansas we have some mushrooms that look like some of which you pick. Are they a lot of look a likes.

    • @OneWildcrafter
      @OneWildcrafter  6 років тому

      There are many that are very similar in appearance, and a few that are very unique. You might be able to find an amateur mycological society near you which would be a great place to learn mushrooms. There is one listed here (www.namyco.org/clubs.php) in Alexander, AK.

    Awesome footage of the snapping turtle ... caught one that big when I was a kid with my brother , made the local paper 26lbs. I think ... alligator snapper though ( clearly defined ridges on the back of the shell ) let it go after.... never caught a lake trout though :( caught a few salmon this year ... to much fun :)
    nice video Jeremy enjoyed it a lot.
    hay I sent you & Chris one of my cooking gadgets, yours was in the package with his ... told him one was for you months ago but didn't put a note in the box I hope he didn't forget about that detail ... ? I asked him not to post a video with it shown until I finish writing the Patent ... I would greatly appreciate it if you would do the same . I'll let you know ASAP. dead line is in a couple months for filing .
    he probably has the package by now ... give him a call .

      @@OneWildcrafter it will be. By the way it was the puffballs that were past point of picking not the chicken of the woods. We brought a small one home to grow, hopefully. Now I've heard cooking chicken of the woods is good with butter and garlic? What's your preference when eating them? Same goes for the puffballs too but battered with panko!

    • @OneWildcrafter
      @OneWildcrafter  6 років тому

      With the chicken of the woods I like to fry them with lots of butter or cream sauce. I find that they have an amazing capacity to soak up a lot of sauce.
