Vauxhall Astra H 1.9 CDTI (Z19DTH) - Engine Service

This video shows how to carry out an engine service on a Vauxhall Astra H 1.9Cdti (Z19DTH)

- Engine Oil drain & refill
- Oil filter replacement
- Fuel filter replacement
- Air filter replacement
Tools required:-
- 13mm socket/spanner
- 32mm socket
- 1/2" ratchet
- Hose pliers
- 7mm socket
- T25 socket
- Torque wrench 25nm & 30nm
- Small flat head screwdriver
- Filter strap
- Waste oil drain

Is there engine similar to the golf 1.9 tdi ?
The 1.9 tdi is known for its reliability is it the same case with opels 1.9 cdti?

No they don't use the same engine. However the Opel/vauxhall 1.9cdti is a very reliable engine.
Most common problems
- Swirl flaps in inlet manifold
- EGR valve
Would recommend having these removed and remapped out.

That filter position is soo stupid. My wrench doesnt fit in and I cant un-do it. Need to figure something out

Yeah it can be awkward, spanner, or extension with knuckle joint works
