      Andy, thank for for your educational video. I did my full service last year with success, thanks. Quick question; inorder to get all oil and dirt out, is it best to do it when oil is hot( of course, being careful not to burn hands…?

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  Рік тому +1

      @@neildean7515 Hiya, so I've done a bit of research recently on this and generally oil warm is better, the theory is that firstly it's slightly thinner and will flow out quicker/easier. Secondly when the engine has been running it will pickup all the particles and rubbish whilst flowing round the engine suspending them in the engine oil (rather than settled) and so when you drain after engine running warm it should help remove all the particles you want too. You'll never get 100% out but this technique works really well.

      @@junkendriven thank you very much for your detailed response. The suspended particles / Flow pionts are are very interesting.. thanks again.. Kind Regards Neil

    This engine takes 5.4 Litres of oil, I would suggest getting a Bosch fuel & oil filters rather than any other brand. I have a 1.7cdti ecoflex zafira.

    Another thing worth checking is the air box drain as I found mine was blocked.

      Good point Alex, I did pull out the leaves but didn't record that.

      @@junkendriven I actually had to take the air box out, then you can pull the drain pipe off.

    Thanks for a great video , saved me lots of money and taught me loads. I'm trying to locate the oil pressure switch on my 07 1.9cdti zafira as I have an oil leak and hear it's common on this model, any ideas? Please .

    Great video just a question I recently bought a 1.9 CDI zafira and have noticed that whenever I put the heating on I can smell fumes do you think the cabin filter needs changing

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  3 роки тому +2

      Cabin filter won't stop fumes entering. You need to get that sorted ASAP as it's dangerous (carbon monoxide poisoning)
      Most likely is your exhaust manifold or flexi is leaking exhaust into the engine bay which in turn is being sucked into the cabin

    Sir can you please make new video for flush steering fluid for this car?
    Thanks in advance

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  4 роки тому

      Hi, I've never known or needed to do a flush for power steering fluid. Why do you need? I'd normally just use a fluid sucker/pump to pump out as much as I can out of the bottle then replace it. You'll never easily get 100% all fluid out and replaced without a lot of work!

    good evening if I disconnect the battery of Opel zafira year 2009 is what it asks for the coding for the radio set thank you

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  4 роки тому

      Hi there, no on the stock radio this is 'coded' to the screen, radio and ECU so it does not require a code after disconnection of battery.

    Hi just a quick question I've got a Chrysler grand voyager 2.8 2006 auto lately I've been finding it difficult to start regardless of weather or engine temperature. I've had it scanned and it came up with P1131 fuel pressure solenoid open circuit. Do you have any idea what it means. Thanks In advance.

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  5 років тому

      Hi, take a look at my other videos as I address poor starting on the cgv. Fuel pressure solenoid is what regulates the pressure given out by the high pressure fuel pump. On the cgv it's on the back of the HP fuel pump, so at engine bay as you face rear, to your left about 3/4 way down the block is the hp pump and at the back is the fuel pressure solenoid. I'm unsure if you can replace just the solenoid though
