    I bought one of these 6 months ago. I fancied something a little different to shoot for fun as a change from the O/U. Its a looker, such a gorgeous gun, weighs nothing! and as for recoil, what recoil? mine does not have the kick off and using Hull Sporting 100 28 gram the recoil is little more than a slight tap on the shoulder. You could shoot hundreds in a session and feel next to nothing.
    I spent a lot of time on pattern plates at different ranges from 15 yards to 50 yards to understand the adjustable rib and in very little time I have adjusted mine to shoot exactly where i want it too. It really does help to see your pattern at different ranges with each choke so you can help to 'see' the sweet spot of the pattern and where you need to put it it to break the clay. I've shot some of my highest scores with mine (28") in fact I had to put it away so not to make the O/U feel neglected!
    Downsides? for me 2. She clangs a bit, when you shoot it you'll get it, it's not a problem really, its just different! Other thing, it ejects shells about 10 feet away, so get a magnetic pickup stick to have with you and make life easy 🙂 Oh, the trigger is a bit of a stretch for me, but I adapted to it ok.
    What turned out to be a purchase for a spot of fun, is actually a superb tool, I could very easily not pick up the O/U and just stick with this. The Beretta half choke seems to break anything from 10 yards to 45 yards, I swear its magical!
    I'm utterly converted to the Monte Carlo stock and high rib. For me the high rib helps you see a clearer sight picture and as Matt says the Monte Carlo stock means you always get the same sight picture no matter what. Thats a good thing.
    I've taken to this so much that I am very seriously considering part exchanging my 725 MK2 in for the Beretta 694 ACS with Monte Carlo stock so I can have both guns with this level of adjustability and user-friendly ability.
    The wood is gorgeous, it's really simple to strip completely and clean. Oh, just thought of another negative! none of my gun slips were long enough to fit it!! its a long beastie! mine is the 28" so the shorter of them, but even so I think its 52" long. The Beretta Transformer gun slips are perfect for this gun, just make sure its long enough!
    This Multi Target is a keeper.
    Never seen another yet, but it'll be a talking point if I do meet another user!

    Boxer done. I've been shooting an A400 for years. I've had my shoulder replaced so the kick-off is really helpful.

    I have A400 game version with the kick off system, it shoots great, very pointable, no recoil, easy to maintain. At the first time you need to shoot one pack with 32 gram cartridges. Then it shoot 24 gram perfectly

    Just purchased A400 Xplor, the smurf Blue was not attractive. I don’t know what Beretta was thinking with that.

    I got two xcel sporting models and 1 a400 xtream plus abd these are some clay busting guns. I shot with browning, benelli and mossberg and the beretta semi automatics are easy on the shoulder and i hit 80 plus clays out of 100 every tournament.

    I’ve got my benelli raffeallo set up as a monte carlo it’s improved my shooting comfort massively the multi target stock on a A400 without the high rib would be a great option for taller people of the 6ft plus height o do all my shooting with benelli semis because of the recoil issues my stocks are extended to 15.4 and there’s no fatigue after shooting all day with them because of the lack of recoil it would be great to see a victoria model of the beretta autos for women in my mind a semi auto is very adaptable to fit and the lack of recoil is a confidence booster for anyone starting out

    Great review. This is such an underrated gun. The price is right for what you get with this gun. You get optimum HP extended chokes and a b-fast rib in addition to the other cool features mentioned in this video. You can also buy a Beretta spacer for your stock if the gun's length is not right for you. I wish this gun came with more shims, as I had to buy more to get mine to fit me properly. If you buy this gun, take as much time as you need to set it up properly and once that's done, avoid changing it if you don't have to, as the screws may wear out fast.

      Indeed on all of the other wooden stocked A400 models (including the smurf), the wood is enhanced with extra grain laser treatment. An the Multitarget though it is the true grain of the wood. Thanks for watching kind regards, Matt

    Hi Matt another brill review on the multi target. You mentioned in the video you could get them in a left-handed ejection, I know you can get a left-handed version in the A400 Action but is it available in the multi target?

    • @PremierGunsDoveridge
      @PremierGunsDoveridge  Рік тому

      Thanks Steve for your comment. Sadly it is indeed only the A400 Action model and Xtreme Plus that are available in L/H eject. I guess that Beretta don't see the value in making such a niche gun as the Multitarget in L/H. I am pleased you are enjoying the videos. Kind regards, Matt

    A great review but I notice you never mentioned the question of keeping gas guns clean and while I’m tempted to include a semi auto in the gun cabinet I’ve sort of assumed that the inertia driven Benelli was the way to go if you were after a totally reliable gun - but then there’s the issue of recoil (apparently) - my regular go to gun for almost everything is a 525. When people talk about the recoil of inertia guns they never seem to specify what they’re comparing it with eg a gas operated gun or a regular o/u. Having turned 70 I don’t think I’d want a gun with significantly more recoil when shooting standard clay loads.

    • @martynf65uk
      @martynf65uk Рік тому +2

      Not sure if this will help... I own the A400 Multi target, my main gun is a 725. The cleaning of the A400 is extremely simple, very little to clean, the piston is small and very simple to clean. The whole gun can be completely striped to bare components in under a few minutes with one tool needed to remove the trigger assembly. You probably only need to total strip the gun once every couple of years maybe? carn’t see why you’d need to clean the trigger unit, but you can easily! I shoot the same cartridge through both the 725 and A400 Multi target. Hull sporting 100's 28 gram.
      The recoil on these A400's is really minimal, its almost... non existent! I don't have any form of kick off or recoil system on my A400 M/T. First time shooting my A400 MT it kind of resembled shooting a springer air rifle! HTH
