Thank you. I don't know much about military recruiting but I do know DO NOT GO TO A RECRUITER FOR HONEST ANSWERS. Heard a dude on youtube got convinced to join the military by the recruiter saying "You can be like batman." Not joking either.
Don't join the military if you going just for collage money. 2 if you do join go for a field that you would love to do in real life. But always remember that one day you may be called to fight in a war don't bitch about don't cry about do your job. In the end you feel better about yourself and others
Exactly! I do not think it costs that much to make a "collage;" one should, definitely, not join the military for that. Geez....I guess I've made a mistake by becoming an EOD Tech., then left the Navy to work for an investment bank. Two completely different fields.
Do you not know how many people join for college money? That's a large proportion of people who join lol. They have a good idea about their future and are eager to step up to challenges and gain real world experience. And most of them do well, if not better than the idiots who join because they saw a movie or are insecure about their masculinity. No one who joins know what they're getting into, really. How your character is determined in the military does not begin until you actually join, whatever your reason is.
Before you join the military, take a camping trip and hike for the day and then dont shower for 3 days. If you dont mind it, go for it. If you couldnt stand it, go to college.
By all means join if you support sexual abuse and institutional cover-ups. Whatever you do, never trust a recruiter or allow yourself to be alone with one. Retired from the military and every woman I served with or worked with was sexually harassed and most had been assaulted (starting as early as in boot camp). There is plenty of evidence to support my assertions. Most recently, look to the Coast Guard Academy. Oh and if you make it to retirement, the VA will likely not believe you or support your claims.

Step one. Do not go to a recruiter for honest advice about joining the military.
To be fair her experience with a ROTC recruiter will be miles different than an enlisted recruiter being crushed trying to make quota with lies.

Don’t, most of y’all joining for college, and it’s pathetic. Y’all can’t even meet a PT standard, so stay away from it if you can’t handle it.
