    I have been told to just rendam in cool water and never blanch or boil as it will become too soft.

    What can I use as a substitute for the dried shrimps? Some people cannot eat shrimp for health, or religious reason like the SDA Christians (They cannot eat any seafood that don't have scale like fish).

      Just omit the dried shrimp is fine

    Thank you for sharing this, may I ask why my fried bee hoon becomes lumppy after frying. I was told maybe I put too much oil or I could be soaking the bee hoon too long. I hope you can advice me on this as it's quite frustrating for me 😂. Thank you very much🙏

      @@CookingAhPa Thanks for your answer, but i do not really put water into it, i just pour the premix sauce i prepared before hand after i throw in the bee hoon. hmm, anyway thank you for your advice, i will use your method to test out and see if it is still lumppy thank you very much.🙏

    Ah Pa,

    I failed. So sad. Bee Hoon broke. Cooked too long in hot water. Will try again
