Impressive drawing....I really miss your older videos without the music and where it's not sped up. Just the sound of the charcoal against the paper and a good long video where it doesn't feel rushed.
@@zinlimart If that was your favorite way to record, then? Maybe you should upload 2 of each video....one unedited, and the other with the music that's sped up and all that. I personally prefer watching the ENTIRE process at a normal speed while hearing the ambiance if you working at your craft. Imagine watching Bob Ross to a sound track, it just wouldn't be the same...it's simplicity and minimal editing is what I think drawn(no pun intended) people to watch his show back in the day. I guess his work as well yours with no music kinda had an ASMR type of quality to it.
“Child like”??? Noooo. Model simplize skill and those clear lines are super hard to do so in drawing. Don’t just look some first simple lines and call “child like”.
@@DungNguyen-qe8ef Hey so pro tip if you want to be an artist. You don't really get to correct what someone interprets art to mean something. If it looks child like to them, then it does. That's it
Τhis man was prisoner and victim of holocaust in WW2!! You did excellent work! You travel me in the past with this drawing and with this music!! I love this kind of music with guitar!! ❤❤❤
In contrast to most of so called UA-cam Artists, you know very well what you are doing and you dont litterally translate the photo on the paper but you keep intensity of the line and surface. anyway its excellent drawing. I dont use photo refference my self but live model only, but this is great example how to do it propperly.. You have my respect.
hey how are you.. I'm coming and I immediately slide to watch, hope I can get new ideas after watching your video, thanks for sharing friends, the best 🥰🥰👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just a heads up to everyone, this piece is amazing but not impressionism, impressionism is an impression of light where this gorgeous piece was made using a shadow based medium, this would be more accurately described as realism! Have a lovely day and keep making art!
Im having trouble lifting the vine charcoal even if applied lightly and smoothed. On Hahnemuhle Drawing and Sketching paper, 140gm for pencil, charcoal, pen and ink the vine charcoal seems to stain the paper. It is pretty impossible to lift and create highlights. It isn't that textured either as I found the smoother the paper the easier it seems to lift the vine charcoal with a kneaded eraser. I have some Arches hot pressed water colour cotton paper 300 gsm which I will try. The cold pressed was too textured and the charcoal again was difficult to lift. The charcoal is english coates artist quality so I don't think that would be the issue. Any guidance please?
As a charcoal girlie myself, I'd give this a good A-. Very solid choice of model, material control and portrait similarity. However, the expression feels a tad mismatched and the face is maybe overtextured. Some white slates in the face geometry could do better for the contrast, IMHO
I enjoyed your comment because it taught me things I didn’t know , and white slated I don’t even know what it means but watch out with looking for defects you would miss the fact that the drawing not only captured the man but it also captured the perception of the artist , meaning . Those were my favorite way to record charcoal drawing. I thought viewers can be bored😄

The skill is insane
This is a great example of draw like you're painting.
The drawing begins so child like, quickly a face emerges, until finally some magic occurs and the most true likeness appears. Awesome!
Thanks for mentioning ‘true likeness’ that I chase.
